Alpinism as a Form of Intangible Cultural Heritage from the Perspective of Interactive Methods in Digital Humanities

Deck, Klaus-Georg January 2021 (has links)
In 2019, alpinism was inscribed in the UNESCO representative list of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity. This thesis shows that alpinism as intangible cultural heritage can be made experienceable for everyone by means of interactive technologies of digital humanities. First, four relevant aspects of alpinism are elaborated and identified for which a total of nine different scenarios of interactive methods are then outlined, sketched and prototypically realised with basic digital tools. These scenarios are described from the user’s perspective and include virtual reality, augmented reality and location-based methods. Finally, these scenarios are analysed within a general framework for tangible interaction systems. The range of scenarios presented, whose actors are not only alpinists but also people who are not mountaineers, makes the different facets of alpinism as cultural heritage tangible for a wide range of people.

Zařízení pro interakci v rozšířené realitě / Interaction Device for Augmented Reality

Pavlenko, Peter January 2017 (has links)
This master thesis explores interactive augmented reality. The aim is to design, create andtest device, which allows interaction between user and augmented reality. First analyzesaugmented reality, devices for its displaying and necessary calibration methods. Then, onthe basis of acquired knowledge, shows design and construction of few prototypes of devicelike this. Finally it shows experiments to test correctness of the concept.

Upravená realita v kokpitu / Augmented Reality in Cockpit

Tabášek, Michal January 2020 (has links)

Systém pro využití technologie rozšířené reality v muzeích a galeriích / System for Augmented Reality Utilisation in Museums and Galleries

Müller, Frederik January 2020 (has links)
The aim of the master thesis is to provide visitors of various types of objects - typically galleries, museums, etc. with additional information about exhibited objects with emphasis on visual display in augmented reality. It includes an analysis of already existing solutions, design and implementation of the entire system needed for deployment. From the point of view of the content creator (administrator), the system represents a complex solution enabling the creation of an interactive walk - scanning 3D objects, scanning 2D objects and adding content to the given objects. On the other hand, the tool for visitors (users) who are part of an interactive walk, provides additional information about objects primarily located near the user, which are automatically detected by the camera on the mobile phone. Solution includes augmented reality, which is implemented using ARKit technology, so the final application is built on the iOS platform. The work addresses the issue of detection of 3D objects and their subsequent recognition, along with the way to work with this information, how to store it and then use it for purposes of this thesis. In the final solution, emphasis is placed on the simplicity of the usage (guide marks, hints...) and overall user experience.

Backend pro kolaborativní programování v rozšířené realitě / Backend for Collaborative Programming in Augmented Reality

Willaschek, Tomáš January 2021 (has links)
This thesis deals with the implementation and application of exclusive access for the ARCOR2 system, which is used for collaborative programming of robots, using augmented reality. The goal of this thesis is an analysis of default state, proposal, and implementation of an exclusive access solution for this system. The implementation is extensive and allows for a number of work scenarios, which require the usage of exclusive access. Scenarios are revealed by the system analysis. Based on the analysis proposal of a solution is created. The problem is resolved by creating a global lock manager, which is applied. Patterns of how the manager should be used, are defined in the work. The benefits of this work are effective and easygoing collaborative programming.

Extended Experiences : Film and Performance Practices in VR/AR

Tsakoumi, Aliki January 2020 (has links)
This is a fascinating time of digital media and new technologies. They offer immersion and interaction and they challenge us, as creators, to work in alternative ways, create more space for the audience and develop our ideas across media while staying true to our artistic principles. During my research, I developed a body of work that includes films, VR, AR, film and stand up comedy as a way to investigate cross-fertilisation in the creative field between different formats, practices and individuals. /
This is the written part of the research and is supplementing the exposition in Research Catalogue.

Augmented Reality for Mobile Devices for Precise Urban Navigation / Augmented Reality for Mobile Devices for Precise Urban Navigation

Murín, Michal January 2013 (has links)

Rozšířená realita v reklamě / Augmented Reality for Commercials

Angelov, Michael January 2011 (has links)
Master's thesis presents a possible application of augmented reality in domain of commerci- als. It presents designed architecture of a mobile application that is able to detect and track specific objects (e.g. printed commercials, logos) in mobile';s phone camera in real time and provide some extra information about the detected object towards the user. Thesis also provides a review of contemporary used techniques in object recognition, object tracking and image retrieval from image databases.

Návrh bytu pomocí rozšířené reality / Flat Design Using Augmented Reality

Tuška, David January 2010 (has links)
This master's thesis is dealing with the usage of augmented reality for a layout of a flat proposition. The aim of this work is to create a system which detects markers on the walls using ARToolKit library. The position of the used in flat is determined by using the markers. Then the system disposes the user's position for operate with a camera in a 3D modelling program called Google SkretchUp. The system is consisted of a server and a client part. The server one copes with the incoming video in which it detects the markers and evaluates the position of user by the help of the markers. The client part of the system is represented by a plugin module for 3D modelling program Google SkretchUp. A client is asking the server for the positions of the user in the flat model and consequently he set the camera in the program Google SkretchUp according to these positions. The client is also asking for the individual pictures from the video which he shows against the background of Google SketchUp and thanks to this, he creates a view of a real scene extended of virtual objects.

Lagová, Lenka January 2015 (has links)
This thesis deals with the issue of creating applications of augmented reality. There are described types of augmented reality, problems associated with developing of applications of this kind. Also there is description of method for detection of moving objects from the record of stationary camera. The thesis deals with camera calibration using knowledge of scene geometry. Scene editor for scene geometry estimation is included in this work. Augmented reality is represented by physical simulations, where object from virtual reality interacts with detected objects and with objects defined in scene editor.
