Maxwell, Eugene Frederick 01 January 1953 (has links)
An attempt was made in this study to determine if teachers’ opinions on what constitutes a behavior problem from the standpoint of a child’s personal adjustment is the same or nearly the same as the opinions of psychologists. A similar study was made by Wickman. As one part of the study a correlation of attitudes was made between a group of seventy-six third, fourth, and fifth grade Tulare County Teachers and eighteen school psychologists in the State of California. As another part of the study a comparison was made by means of a questionnaire of the opinions of Ivanhoe Teachers with opinions of school psychologists both before and after an in-service training program. The psychologists all hold a psychology credential from the State of California and are engaged in psychology work in schools of the state.
