Novel amphiphilic dendrimers as nanovectors for siRNA delivery

Les dendrimères, font partie d'une famille particulière de polymères synthétiques, pouvant être utilisés comme nanovecteurs pour l'administration de médicaments grâce à leur structure polyvalente et leur action coopérative, ces fonctions étant confinées dans un volume de taille nanométrique. Notre groupe a récemment démontré que de petites unités dendritiques amphiphiles pouvaient s'auto-assembler en dendrimères supramoléculaires pouvant délivrer du siARN, avec une efficacité similaire à celle des dendrimères de grande génération construits de manière covalente. Dans cette thèse, ans le but de explorer des nouveaux dendrimères amphiphiles possédant des propriétés particulières d'auto-assemblage pour la délivrance de médicaments, j'ai synthétisé et caractérisé deux familles de dendrimères amphiphiles, à savoir des dendrimères bola-amphiphiliques de type PAMAM ainsi que des dendrimères amphiphiles biodégradables de type poly(aminoester). Leurs propriétés physico-chimiques et l'activité biologique pour la délivrance de siARN ont été étudiées. Nos résultats soulignent qu'elles constituent de nouveaux nanotransporteurs prometteurs pour la délivrance d'acide nucléique, voie dans laquelle nous poursuivons activement nos efforts. / Dendrimers, a special family of synthetic polymers, emerge as appealing nanovectors for drug delivery thanks to their unique precisely-controlled achitecture along with multivalency and cooperativity confined within a nanosized volume. Our group has recently demonstrated that small amphiphilic dendrons could self-assemble into supramolecular dendrimers, which mimick the covalently constructed high generation dendrimers and effectively deliver siRNA therapeutics in vitro and in vivo. In order to further explore novel amphiphilic dendrimers with special self-assembly properties for nucleic acid delivery, in this Ph.D thesis, I have synthesized and characterized two families of amphiphilic dendrimers, namely bola-amphiphilic PAMAM dendrimer and biodegradable amphiphilic poly(aminoester) dendrimer. Their physico-chemical properties and biological activity for siRNA delivery have been investigated. Our results demonstrate that they may constitute, via supramolecular self-assembling, effective and promising nanocarriers for nuclide acid delivery, in which we are actively pursuing our effort.

Primena algometrije kod osoba sa cervikalnom i lumbalnom radikulopatijom / Application of algometry in patients with cervical and lumbar radiculopathy

<p>Uvod: Radikulopatija je obično praćena bolovima i drugim senzornim i motornim poremećajima, uz smanjenje kvaliteta života u različitom obimu. Algometrija kao visokosenzitivna metoda pruža objektivan uvid u stepen bola, dok se upotrebom upitnika na jednostavan način mogu proceniti karakteristike bola i biopsihosocijalni status pacijenta. Cilj: Istraživanje je sprovedeno kako bi se izmerili prag bola i prag tolerancije na bol kod pacijenata sa cervikalnom i lumbalnom radikulopatijom i utvrdila moguća povezanost bola sa biopsihosocijalnim faktorima. Materijal i metode: Studijom je pre započinjanja i posle zavr&scaron;avanja terapijskog ciklusa ispitano 60 pacijenata sa dijagnostikovanom cervikalnom radikulopatijom (30 mu&scaron;karaca i 30 žena) i 60 pacijenata sa dijagnostikovanom lumbalnom radikulopatijom (30 mu&scaron;karaca i 30 žena). Svi pacijenti su bili hospitalno lečeni u okviru Klinike za medicinsku rehabilitaciju, Kliničkog centra Vojvodine u Novom Sadu, a terapijski ciklus je u proseku trajao 14-21 dan. U istraživanju su kori&scaron;ćenitest za detekciju bola (Pain Detect Test), kratki upitnik o bolu (Brief Pain Inventory), indeks onesposobljenosti zbog bolova u vratu (Neck Disability Index), Kvebekova skala onesposobljenosti kod lumbalnog sindroma (Quebec Back Pain Disability Scale), bolnička skala za anksioznost i depresiju (Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale), upitnik za procenu prisustva straha od fizičke aktivnosti/posla i njihovog izbegavanja (The Fear-Avoidance Beliefs Questionnaire)&nbsp; i skala katastrofizma bola (Pain Catastrophizing Scale). Rezultati: Nije uočena statistički značajna razlika algometrijskih vrednosti između pacijenata sa cervikalnom radikulopatijom i pacijenata sa lumbalnom radikulopatijom. Ustanovljeno je da osobe ženskog pola imaju niži prag bola i nižu toleranciju na bol od osoba mu&scaron;kog pola. Poređenjem algometrijskih vrednosti pre započinjanja i posle zavr&scaron;avanja terapijskog ciklusa zapaža se da je program rehabilitacije povoljno uticao na pacijente sa lumbalnom radikulopatijom, dok je kod pacijenata sa cervikalnom radikulopatijom do&scaron;lo do pogor&scaron;anja tegoba. Prisutna je negativna korelacija između vrednosti izmerenih algometrom i skorova za anksioznost, depresiju i strah od fizičke aktivnost i posla, &scaron;to znači da biopsihosocijalni faktori u velikoj meri utiču na bolnost. Zaključci: Kvantifikovanje i mapiranje bola uz pomoć algometra i utvrđivanje biopsihosocijalnog statusa putem upitnika će omogućiti primenu adekvatne terapije kod pacijenata, koja je zasnovana na individualnom pristupu. Istovremeno bi primenjenom metodologijom bila postignuta bolja verifikacija rezultata rehabilitacionog programa.</p> / <p>Introduction: Radiculopathy is usually accompained by pain and other sensory and motor disorders, with reducing the quality of life in different extent. Algometry as a highly sensitive method provides objective insight into the degree of pain, while the use of questionnaires in a simple way can estimate the characteristics of pain and the patient&#39;s biopsychosocial status. Objective: The study was conducted in order to measure the pressure pain threshold and pressure pain tolerance threshold in patients with cervical and lumbar radiculopathy and found a possible association of pain with the biopsychosocial factors. Materials and methods: The study examined 60 patients with cervical radiculopathy (30 men and 30 women) and 60 patients with lumbar radiculopathy (30 men and 30 women) before starting and after finishing treatment cycle. All patients were hospitalized in the Clinic for Medical Rehabilitation, Clinical Center of Vojvodina in Novi Sad, and a treatment cycle lasted an average of 14-21 days. Research was conducted using Pain Detect Test, Brief Pain Inventory, Neck Disability Index, Quebec Back Pain Disability Scale, Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale, The Fear-Avoidance Beliefs Questionnaire and Pain Catastrophizing Scale. Results: There was no statisticallly significant difference in algometric values between patients with cervical radiculopathy and patients with lumbar radiculopathy. It was found that females have a lower pressure pain threshold and lower tolerance to pain than males. Comparing algometric values before starting and after finishing treatment cycle can be noted that the program of rehabilitation favorable influence on patients with lumbar radiculopathy, while in patients with cervical radiculopathy occured deterioration in subjective symptoms. There is a negative correlation between values measured by algometer and scores for anxiety, depression and fear of physical activity and work, which means that biopsychosocial factors greatly affect the pain. Conclusions: Quantification and mapping the pain by algometer and determination of biopsychosocial status through questionnaires will provide the implementation of appropriate therapy for patients, which is based on individual approach. At the same time, the applied methodology would be achieved better verification of the results in rehabilitation program.</p>

Caractérisation structurale d'états oligomériques de protéines impliquées dans l'homéostasie du fer : les protéines BolA et les glutarédoxines / Structural characterization of oligomeric states of proteins involved in iron homeostasis : BolA proteins and glutaredoxins

Les interactions intermoléculaires au sein des êtres vivants sont complexes et permettent de véhiculer l’information nécessaire à la survie de l’organisme à un moment donné. Il arrive même que certains intervenants soient impliqués à différents stades d’un même processus. Parmi les très nombreux processus biologiques présents au sein des cellules, la biogénèse des centres fer-soufre apparaît être très complexe. Cette complexité est probablement reliée à la toxicité cellulaire du fer libre et du soufre libre. Ainsi les différentes étapes de la création des centres fer-soufre doivent être étroitement régulées. Des études récentes montrent que les protéines BolA et les glutarédoxines de classe II sont impliquées dans l’homéostasie du fer en intervenant seules ou de manière concertée. Cependant, la fonction réelle de ces protéines notamment aux différents stades de la biogénèse des centres fer-soufre reste encore que très peu connue. Afin de mieux comprendre la capacité des protéines BolA et glutarédoxines à jouer leur fonction biologique, nous avons étudié à travers ce travail de thèse la capacité des protéines BolA et glutarédoxines d’Arabidopsis thaliana, à former des homodimères et des hétérodimères. Pour ce faire, la cristallographie des rayons X, la résonance magnétique nucléaire et d’autres méthodes spectroscopiques ont été utilisées pour caractériser structuralement les différents états oligomériques de ces deux protéines / Intermolecular interactions in living cells are complex and help convey the information indispensable to the survival of the organism at a given time. It even happens that various stakeholders are involved at different stages of the same process. Among many biological processes present within living cells, the biogenesis of iron-sulfur clusters appears to be very complex. This complexity is probably related to cellular toxicity of both free iron and free sulfur. Thus the different stages of iron-sulfur clusters biosynthesis must be tightly regulated. Recent studies highlight that BolA proteins and class II glutaredoxins are involved in iron homeostasis probably by acting alone or in a concerted manner. However, the current function of these proteins in the various steps of the iron-sulfur clusters biogenesis is yet unidentified. To better understand how BolA proteins and glutaredoxins fulfill their biological function, we studied throughout this PhD work the ability of Arabidopsis thaliana proteins to form homodimers and heterodimers. To do this, X-ray crystallography, nuclear magnetic resonance and other spectroscopic methods were used to structurally characterize the different oligomeric states of these two proteins

[pt] A história da leitura se relaciona diretamente à história do suporte. Com o surgimento de publicações eletrônicas dispostas nos mais diversos suportes – como tablets, smartphones, computadores –, estes novos formatos passaram a conviver com os impressos. Assim, o objetivo desta pesquisa foi reavaliar os contextos de leitura, a partir da relação entre leitor e suporte, tendo em foco publicações híbridas, criadas tanto no meio impresso quanto no digital. Para isto, investigou-se a atividade de leitores específica do subúrbio carioca, a partir de uma manifestação cultural particular da cidade: os Bate-bolas (ou Clóvis). Para abordar este campo de leituras contemporâneas e vários formatos de publicações, explorou-se as singularidades da experiência de leitura do leitor do subúrbio carioca e sua aproximação com o acesso às publicações híbridas. As etapas de pesquisa de campo incluíram questionários presenciais e entrevistas realizadas com estes jovens leitores e, a partir da observação de seus hábitos de leitura, foi elaborada uma pesquisa-intervenção. A proposta da criação de uma publicação híbrida surge a partir das necessidades dos leitores Bate-bolas, urgências estas apontadas pelos próprios durante a pesquisa. O resultado da análise da interação dos Bate-bolas com a publicação híbrida proposta tem como resultado final comprovação da hipótese e elaboração da conclusão da pesquisa. / [en] The history of reading is directly related to that of medium support. The birth of electronic publishing on the most diverse gadgets — tablets, smartphones, personal computers, — provided the coexistence of these new formats with printed ones. This research s goal was to reassess the reading context from the relation between reader and medium support, focusing on hybrid publications, created both in printed and digital formats. To accomplish that, reading activity from Rio de Janeiro s suburb was investigated from the aspect of a cultural manifestation particular to the city: the Bate-bolas (or Clóvis). To approach this area of contemporary reading and several publishing formats, the peculiar experience from Rio suburb s reader was studied as well as their ease of access to hybrid publications. Field research s steps included face-to-face questionnaires and interviews with these young readers and, from the observation of their reading habits, an intervention research was elaborated. Proposing the creation of a hybrid publication comes from the necessities of Bate-bolas readers, whose urgencies were pointed by themselves during the research. The outcome from analyzing this interaction between Bate-bolas and the proposed hybrid publication further proves the hypothesis, and results in the conclusion of the research.

A decisão da largada do levantador do voleibol na perspectiva de dinâmica ecológica / The volleyball setter\'s decision-making of tipping in the ecological dynamics

O objetivo deste estudo foi investigar a decisão do levantador do voleibol de largar a bola no campo adversário no segundo toque, com base em variáveis espaço-temporais que refletem a interação jogador-ambiente de jogo. Foram filmados 20 jogos de voleibol (10 masculinos e 10 femininos) do Campeonato Paulista - divisão I (2013), dos quais foram selecionadas 172 sequências de jogadas de levantadores, sendo 86 largadas e 86 levantamentos (controle). Os deslocamentos dos jogadores foram capturados pelo software TACTO, desde o início do passe até o contato do levantador com a bola. Foram consideradas 37 variáveis (espaço-temporais) para análise por meio da MANOVA, sendo estas resultantes das seguintes medidas: (i) distância do levantador à rede; (ii) distância percorrida pelo levantador para chegar até à bola; (iii) distância do passe; (iv) área adversária; (v) distância entre os bloqueadores; (vi) distância entre o levantador e os bloqueadores; e (vii) distância dos bloqueadores à rede. Quando pertinente, foram observadas as respectivas velocidades e variabilidades dessas medidas. Uma análise complementar buscou compreender a natureza das largadas, por meio de comparações relativas à sua efetividade, sua ocorrência nas diferentes transições do rali, o tipo de largada e largadas executadas por homens e mulheres. Os resultados revelaram que largadas diferiram de levantamentos em relação às seguintes variáveis que envolviam o time atacante: distâncias inicial e final do levantador à rede, distância e velocidade de deslocamento do levantador para chegar até à bola, e velocidade do passe. Em relação ao time adversário, as variáveis foram apenas espaciais: área final e distância final entre o levantador e os bloqueadores. Concluiu-se que variáveis espaço-temporais que refletem as interações dos jogadores no jogo de voleibol foram cruciais para a tomada de decisão de largar do levantador. Foi destacada a relação entre os dois times e a importância dessas interações também nas duas fases de transição do rali. Interações espaciais foram críticas para determinar o tipo de largada que seria utilizado. E ainda, interações interpessoais e extrapessoais influenciaram a decisão de largar / This study aimed to investigate the volleyball setter\'s decision-making of tipping based on spatiotemporal variables involving the interaction between players and their game environment. Twenty volleyball games (10 male and 10 female) of the Paulista championship - division I (2013) were recorded, from which 172 actions of the setters were selected. The actions were 86 tips and 86 sets (control group). Players\' displacements were captured using TACTO software, from the beginning of the pass to the contact of the setter to the ball. Thirty-seven spatiotemporal variables were considered in a MANOVA analysis. They were extracted from the follow measures: (i) distance between the setter and the net; (ii) distance between the setter and the ball; (iii) pass distance; (iv) area between opponents; (v) distance between blockers; (vi) distance between the setter and the blockers; (vii) distance between the blockers and the net. When appropriate it was considered the velocity and variability of these measures. Complementary analysis aimed to understand the tips, comparing its effectiveness, its occurrence in different rally transitions, types of tips and tips according to sex. Results revealed that tips and sets were different according these spatiotemporal variables of the attacking team: initial and final distances between the setter and the net, distance and velocity between the setter and the ball, and pass velocity. Only spatial variables related to the defending team were significant: final area and final distance between the setter and the blockers. In conclusion, spatiotemporal interactions involving the players\' behavior in the game environment were crucial for setter\'s decision-making of performing the tip. The relation between the two teams and the importance of their interactions were highlighted also in the two phases of rally transition. Spatial interactions were critical to determine the type of tip. Moreover, interpersonal and extrapersonal interactions influenced this specific setters\' decision

Contribuição das informações auditiva e visual para a percepção da rotação da bola e para o desempenho de mesatenistas experientes / Contribution of auditory and visual informations to the perception of the rotation of the ball and to the performance in experient table tennis players

O tênis de mesa é um dos esportes de raquete mais rápidos do mundo, exigindo muito pouco tempo para planejar e executar seus movimentos. Neste sentido, detectar a quantidade de rotação da bola, velocidade e direção torna-se fundamental para produzir respostas motoras eficientes. Entretanto, existem algumas questões que ainda não foram exploradas como o quanto a disponibilidade das informações auditiva e visual interfere na acurácia da percepção da rotação da bola e no tempo necessário para perceber estas rotações. O propósito do presente estudo foi analisar a influência da informação auditiva e visual na percepção da rotação da bola e no desempenho no tênis de mesa. Os atletas profissionais foram submetidos a dois estudos: o primeiro destinado a verificar a contribuição da informação auditiva e visual na percepção da rotação da bola e no tempo necessário para essa percepção. O segundo, proposto para avaliar a influência da informação auditiva no desempenho da tarefa de contra-ataque no tênis de mesa. Participaram do estudo 22 mesatenistas de alto rendimento de ambos os sexos (21 homens e 1 mulher) com média de idade de 22,55 ± 6,15. O teste de percepção de rotação (estudo 1) analisou o número de acertos e o tempo de reação por meio de uma rotina desenvolvida no software Matlab (Apêndice D). Os atletas visualizavam a tela de um computador e respondiam em um teclado o mais rápido possível. Os atletas analisaram um movimento de forehand nas intensidades de rotação: muita rotação (bola girando a aproximadamente 140 r/s); média (bola girando a aproximadamente 105 r/s); pouca rotação (bola girando a aproximadamente 84 r/s); batida chapada (bola girando a aproximadamente 70 r/s), nas seguintes condições: a) informação auditiva; b) informação visual; c) informação auditiva e visual. Os atletas analisaram 20 bolas para cada condição sendo cinco de cada tipo de efeito. Para o teste de desempenho (estudo 2) o atleta teve que responder adequadamente com o movimento de contra-ataque de forehand em um alvo previamente marcado na mesa. Foram golpeadas 80 bolas nas mesmas intensidades de rotação mencionadas acima. Os atletas foram avaliados em duas condições: com informação auditiva e sem informação auditiva. Os resultados do estudo 1 revelaram que mesatenistas foram capazes de perceber a magnitude de rotação da bola nas três condições. O percentual de acertos foi de 77,5%, 91,14% e 96,36% para as condições de informação auditiva, visual e combinadas, respectivamente. Quanto ao tempo de reação, os resultados revelaram que na condição somente informação auditiva (2,32 ± 0,41 s) os atletas demoraram mais tempo para responder do que em relação a condição somente informação visual (2,07 ± 0,36 s), já na condição informação auditiva e visual (1,85 ± 0,35 s) os atletas se mostraram mais rápidos ainda concordando com as informações número de acertos obtidas neste estudo. Para o estudo 2 os resultados revelaram que quando os atletas contra-atacaram na condição informação auditiva, o número de acertos foi de 37,69 ± 5,43 enquanto, quando a audição dos atletas foi privada a média de acertos foi 33,15 ± 6,84. Os resultados apontaram que mesatenistas foram capazes de utilizar as informações auditiva e visual para perceber a magnitude da rotação da bola no golpe forehand, porém, no estudo 1 quando as informações foram combinadas o número de acertos aumentou 5,22% e o tempo de reação diminuiu 0,22 s. No estudo 2 Quando a informação auditiva foi privada houve uma diminuição na média do número de acertos de 4,54. / Table tennis is one of the fastest racket sports in the world, requiring very little time to plan and execute your moves. In this sense, detecting a quantity of ball spin, velocity and direction becomes fundamental to produce efficient motor responses. However, there are some questions that have not yet been explored for example how much the availability of auditory and visual information interferes with the accuracy of the perception of the rotation of the ball and the time needed to perceive these rotations. The purpose of the present study is to analyze the influence of auditory and visual information on the perception of ball rotation and performance in table tennis. The volunteers were submitted to two studies: the first one to verify the contribution of the auditory and visual information in the perception of the rotation of the ball and in the time necessary for this perception. The second, proposed to evaluate the influence of auditory information on the performance of the counter-attack task in table tennis. Twenty-two high-level table tennis players men and women (21 men and 1 woman) with a mean age of 22.55 ± 6.15 participated in the study. The rotation perception test (study 1) analyzed the number of hits and the reaction time through a routine developed in Matlab software. The athletes visualized the screen of a computer and answered in a keyboard as soon as possible. The athletes analyzed a forehand movement in the rotation intensities: fast spin (spinning ball foward at 140 r/s); medium spin (105 r/s); slow spin (84 r/s); flat hit (70 r/s), under the following conditions: a) auditory information; b) visual information; c) auditory and visual information. The athletes analyzed 20 balls for each condition, five of each type of rotation. For the performance test (study 2) the athlete had to respond adequately with the forehand counterattack movement on a previously marked target at the table. 80 balls were struck at the same intensities of rotation mentioned above. The athletes were evaluated in two conditions: with auditory information and without auditory information. The results of the study 1 revealed that table tennis players were able to perceive the magnitude of rotation of the ball in the three conditions. The percentage of correct answers was 77.5%, 91.14% and 96.36% for auditory, visual and combined information conditions, respectively. Regarding the reaction time, the results revealed that in the condition only auditory information (2.32 ± 0.41 s) the athletes took more time to respond, since in the condition only visual information (2.07 ± 0.36 s) delayed a little less and in the condition auditory and visual information (1.85 ± 0.35 s) the athletes showed themselves to be faster still agreeing with the information number of hits obtained in this study. For the study 2 the results revealed that when the athletes counterattacked in the auditory information condition, the number of hits was 37.69 ± 5.43, whereas when the hearing of the athletes was private the average hit was 33.15 ± 6.84. The results indicated that table tennis players were able to use auditory and visual information to realize the magnitude of the ball rotation in the forehand blow, however, in study 1 when the informations were combined the number of right answered increased 5.22% and the reaction time decreased by 0.22 s. In study 2 When the auditory information was depriving, there was a decrease in the average number of hits 4.54.

Formation and Characterization of Hybrid Bilayers and Diffusion of Cations Across Liposomal Membranes: Studies Based on Polymerizable Lipids

Cellular energy transduction processes are often driven by transmembrane ion gradients, and a number of artificial membrane systems have been developed that allow for chemically or light-induced transport of ions across lipid bilayers. These liposomal architectures, however, are not readily interfaced to a solid-state transducer. A significant step toward this goal is described here by assessing the possibility of coupling a lipid bilayer directly to a transducer to form a stable uniform film using hybrid bilayer membranes (HBMs).Although the surface attachment of self-assembled monolayer increases the robustness of the lipid assembly, HBMs cannot maintain film uniformity under harsher conditions due to the absence of strong lipid-lipid interactions. Therefore, HBMs were prepared and characterized using a cross-linking polymerizable lipid, bis-SorbPC. Several parameters relating to lipid deposition and film stabilization through polymerization were examined. Film characterization strongly suggests that polymerization of bis-SorbPC stabilizes the HBM such that its structure is largely preserved even after the dehydration process. This work suggests that network formation in the upper monolayer is not enough to prevent oligomer desorption, intermonolayer covalent linking is also a prerequisite in making uniform, defect-free planar supported lipid assemblies.Some of the challenges associated with the application of lipids involve the creation of supported bilayers that are stable to chemical and physical disruptions, yet retain their ion barrier properties, and allow transmembrane ion transport by lipid-soluble shuttles. Polymerized lipid films provide the stability required for these structures, but permeability properties of cations across poly(lipid) membranes are not known. Therefore, convenient liposome-based proton and calcium permeability assays were developed. These assays were applied to various poly(lipid) compositions.In addition, three novel sorbyl-substituted head group polymerizable lipids, which have been synthesized based on a strategy that head group polymerization would minimally perturb the characteristic ion impermeability of the membrane, were evaluated for their lipid characteristics and ability to form polymers. None of these compounds forms vesicles by itself. Therefore, attempts were made to form mixed vesicles with other fluid lipids. The miscibility of the mixed monolayers was assessed using Langmuir isotherms.

Since the 80s of the twentieth century a new social system emerged that allowed for the appearance of groups that create their own identity, especially in an urban context. One of those groups that arised were the so-called urban tribes. This neotribalist system, that allowed for the development of religious self-expression, is called New Religious Movements. One of the groups within this system draws attention: the Igreja Bola de Neve Church. The subject of this research has received a lot of attention from social and religious scientists, presenting itself as a new challenge for those studying practical theology, in trying to analyse the effects that this religious fenomenon has on contemporary society. The goal of this thesis is comprehending the theoric-scientific fundaments of the construction of the neotribalist social model and of the New Religious Movements. This research intends to investigate the creation of the Igreja Bola de Neve Church, describe it and interpret its religious practices based on the hermeneutics of the theory of religious praxis, in order to understand how the Igreja Bola de Neve Church is interpreted by christian religion.(AU) / A presente pesquisa Neotribalismo e Novos Movimentos Religiosos:Estudo de Caso das Práxis da Igreja Bola de Neve Church é uma investigação in loco que se propõe analisar, descrever e interpretar o contexto de uma práxis religiosa emergente, com uma abordagem teórico-científica deste movimento religioso. A partir da década de 80 do século XX houve uma nova configuração social permitindo criar grupos de identificação própria, principalmente no contexto urbano. Um destes grupos que vieram a surgir foram as chamadas tribos urbanas. Esta nova configuração neo-tribalista permitiu o desenvolvimento de expressões de religiosidade própria, chamado de Novos Movimentos Religiosos, dentre os quais, destaca-se a Igreja Bola de Neve Church. O tema desta pesquisa científica tem despertado grande interesse pelos cientistas sociais e da religião, apresentando-se, também, como um novo desafio aos pastoralistas por analisar os efeitos que este fenômeno religioso implica na sociedade contemporânea. Mesmo sendo conhecida sua importância no esporte, é pequena a atenção desenvolvida pela literatura científica e técnica acerca desse evento. Portanto, é necessário o desenvolvimento de estudos voltados a análises das cobranças para obter informações que possam explicar fatores que proporcionam o sucesso dos goleiros frente às cobranças. O presente estudo realizou análise cinemática da velocidade da bola (VB), velocidade média dos cobradores (VC), distância da corrida (DC) e tempo de antecipação dos goleiros (TA) entre as cobranças convertidas em gol (CG) e defendidas (CD) em cobranças de pênaltis. Participaram do estudo 12 atletas de futebol de campo profissional da equipe Rio Claro Futebol Clube, divididos em 3 equipes por sorteio. Cada equipe era composta por 1 goleiro e 3 cobradores. Foram filmadas disputas alternadas entre as equipes totalizando 44 cobranças. As imagens foram armazenadas em um computador por uma placa de captura. Foi utilizado o software Dvideow para obter as coordenadas bidimensionais dos atletas e tridimensionais da bola em função do tempo. Para verificar a correlação entre as variáveis de VB e da corrida dos cobradores, foi utilizado o teste de correlação de Pearson. Para verificar diferenças entre as variáveis do estudo, foi utilizado o Boxplot e os dados foram representados pela respectiva mediana. Obteve-se a seguinte classificação: 25 CG (57%), 14 CD (32 %), 4 na trave (9%) e 1 para fora do gol (2%). Não foram verificadas correlações entre as VC em relação às VB entre as CG e CD (r=-0.0678, r2=0.0046, p=0.6817) e v entre as VC com as respectivas AC (r=0.2651, r2=0.0703, p=0.1028). Não existem diferenças significativas entre os valores das VB nas CG (98.5 km/h) e CD (94.6 Km/h)... / The penalty kicks can present a decisive aspect in the result of a match and mainly in great competitions of soccer. Even being known its importance in the sport, it is small the attention developed by the scientific literature and technique concerning this event. Therefore, it is necessary the development of studies to analyze penalty kicks to get information that can explain some factors that provide to the success of the goalkeepers front to the penalty kicks. The present study analyze the penalty kicks kinematics in order to verify differences in the variables of the speed of the ball (SB), average speed of the kickers (SK), distance of the kicker race (DR) and time of anticipation of the goalkeeper (TA) between the penalty kicks converted into goal (CG) and defended (D). Have participated of this study 12 athletes of professional soccer players of the Rio Claro Futebol Club team, divided randomly into 3 teams. Each team was composed for 1 goalkeeper and 3 kickers. They have been filmed forty four penalty kicks in alternated disputes between the teams. The images have been stored by the capture plate in a computer. After that, it was used the Dvideow software to get the 2D coordinates of the speed ball and 3D coordinates of the athletes in function of the time. To verify the correlation between the SB variables and of the race of the kickers, it was used the Pearson test. To verify differences between the variables of the study, the method of analysis for 78 boxplot was adopted and the data had been represented by its respective median. It was not verified correlation between the SK and SB of the CG and D (r=-0.0678, r2=0.0046, p=0.6817) and between the SK and its respective DR (r=0.2651, r2=0.0703, p=0.1028).
