Modelování a HIL simulace ovládání pátých dveří osobního automobilu / Modelling and HIL Simulation of Vehicle Boot Door Control

Musil, Filip January 2017 (has links)
This diploma thesis focuses on an analysis, a model creation and simulations of a car boot door mechanism. The problem was analyzed on the basis of real measurements made on three different vehicles. Based on the measurements, computational models describing the real system at different levels of complexity were created. Matlab/Simulink was used to create and calculate the models. The output of the thesis is the simulator of a car boot door which also includes simplified model of a control unit. The simulator should provide an approximation of current and kinematic quantities of these mechanisms. The model is implemented on dSPACE platform that allows real-time simulations. The simulator can be modified in terms of changing the parameters of the mechanism and modifying some of its results.

A Boot Camp Approach to Remediating Interdental /s/ in a School-Aged Child

Peris, Melanie Ellen 20 November 2013 (has links) (PDF)
The relationship between speech articulation therapy dose (frequency, intensity, duration) and treatment outcomes are poorly understood. Identifying optimal therapy doses for specific articulation disorders is essential to providing efficient clinical care. Recent research indicates that intensive speech therapy doses-known as boot camps-may promote rapid improvement and generalization for certain speech disorders. Therefore the present investigation examined the effects of a boot camp speech therapy approach to remediate interdental /s/ production in an 8-year-old male. The boot camp included two days of speech therapy involving visual, tactile, and auditory feedback approaches. Therapy was administered 5.5 hours per day across morning and afternoon sessions. Treatment outcomes were evaluated using auditory-perceptual ratings of pre- and post-treatment word pairs. The results indicated that /s/ production improved significantly immediately following the boot camp and improvements were sustained at one week post-treatment (p < 0.05). Medial and final /s/ productions improved more so than the initial /s/ productions. These findings suggest that the speech therapy boot camp approach may be effective for certain individuals with speech sound disorders. Future research should explore dose-response relationships among speech articulation therapy dose in other children with speech sound disorders.

Implementering av VBS system i Sverige / I mplementation of VBS system in Sweden

Tarek, Asmaa, Farhad, Zhir January 2020 (has links)
VBSanvänds i horisontella plan endast. / Concrete is today one of the materials we use most in the construction industry and it has itsconsequences. More than 50% of the energy emissions from the construction site come fromcement production. Voided biaxial slab or VBS is a revolutionary technique in which plasticballs are cast into the concrete together with the reinforcement. The working time and thedrying time are reduced while maintaining the strength and its functionality. In this report, wewill take a closer look at VBS technology and compare it with conventional concrete slab andsee if the technology is suitable for implementation in Sweden. We have used a qualitative method in the form of source analysis from the Internet andprinted sources. Also a comparative method in cases where we have found information frommore than one source. The report will focus solely on concrete slabs and floor separating flooring. VBS is used inhorizontal planes only. Roofs and walls are therefore excluded. The technology will bepresented in the form of important aspects for its survival in the Swedish market such aseconomy, structural benefits and sustainability. The result shows that VBS is financially almost only positive compared to the conventionalconcrete slab, which consists only of reinforced concrete. In terms of design, VBS is acompetitive alternative to reinforced concrete. The flexural strength is the same as reinforcedconcrete. Other good positive aspects are environmental friendliness, work environment, energy consumption and heat insulation. The less good features are poor performance in shear resistance, fire resistance and soundinsulation.VBS can be implemented in Sweden but for plastic to be introduced on such a large scale, aninfrastructure is needed. It should meet the sustainable production of Bubbledeck and separatethe materials during demolition. The technology brings great benefits, but despite this, companies can find it difficult to motivate them to build with VBS when concrete is so easilyaccessible and has been around for so long.

Utveckling av lastutrymme för ett konceptfordon : Utvecklingsprojekt för den designmässiga utformningen av ett måttdefinerat lastutrymme / Development of Boot Compartment for a concept vehicle : Development project for the design layout of a measure defined boot compartment

Åkerman Markgren, Marcus January 2016 (has links)
This report covers a development project which goal is to produce one or more layout concepts of a measure defined boot compartment. This project is conducted as Bachelor of Science thesis within the bachelor engineering program of innovation technics and design in Karlstad University, Sweden. The assignment was supplied by Martin Larsson, managing director at Precer Autotech, a company that is developing a new type of hybrid vehicle that runs on solid fuels. This vehicle owns the dimensions of an average sized car, though is technically defined as a larger sized quad or ATV. Because of this, the vehicle in question is subject to several special factors regarding, for example, the ratio between weight and size. The project is going to provide part of the foundation on which this concept vehicle will be developed. The process of industrial design has pervaded this project, with methods and techniques originated from said process riddling the entirety of the project. Methods such as the use of a full scale mock-up have nuanced this project. From sessions of brainstorming to the development of concepts, this project has been using techniques and ways which has been a defining part of the university studies. The project resulted in one concept for totality of the measure defined boot compartment, which has shown to fulfill the demands of the project. The final concept solution has also been implemented in a full scale mock-up, which was a part of the project’s goals. / Utveckling av lastutrymme för ett konceptfordon

Boosting Boot Camp: Embedded Librarians Coach Students to Graduation Finish Line!

Doucette, Wendy, Anderson, Joanna 22 June 2016 (has links)
From its inception in 2012, the Dissertation and Thesis Bootcamp at East Tennessee State University (ETSU) has included a library component. Unfortunately, librarians were used more as computer technicians, assisting students with technological access issues and occasional citation help, than as information specialists. In Spring 2015, the new Graduate Librarian and the Distance Education Librarian proposed significantly expanding the librarian's role in the program by adding targeted workshops to address physical and virtual workspace organization and research strategies. In the exit surveys for Boot camp, students have expressed high ratings and appreciation for these formal library instruction opportunities. Familiarity with the embedded librarians greatly increased the interaction between students and librarians, allowing for timely, point of need interventions during boot camp, as well as continued personal consulatations afterwards. This infographic-based poster will use graphed data, linear progression and photographs to showcase the different function performed by the librarians embedded in bootcamp. It will clearly and systematically demonstrate visually how what began as a teaching research and data management skills improved student ability and confidence and progressed to one-on-one and group sessions. This case study will provide inspiration and guidelines to help others reproduce our success. Links to the content of our workshops will also be available.
