Analýza vnitřního a vnějšího prostředí ve vybraném zemědělském podniku

ŘEZNÍK, Luboš January 2019 (has links)
Agricultural businesses face many internal and external factors that significantly affect their business. Aspects such as management, marketing, internal and external environments are increasingly important for agricultural businesses in the Czech Republic. This thesis analyses the external environment of the company, including PEST analysis and Porter's five forces model. Both models are explored in detail including explanations of their main role and functionality within the given environment. Also explained is the Boston matrix to define the internal environment of the company. This thesis provides a SWOT analysis- techniques focused on the evaluation of internal and external factors influencing the organization's success. The practical part of this thesis will implement the theoretical aspects previously explored within a selected agricultural business of Central Bohemia. This thesis will explain and analyse the external and internal environment of the selected agriculture business. A general overview of the models will be defined and then implemented upon the agricultural business of Klučenice a.s.

Cognitive Science in technology

Cabrera, Victoria Marrujo 14 February 2011 (has links)
Cognitive Science is an interdisciplinary field that ties together the curricula of liberal arts and technical fields of study. However, it is de-emphasized in technical undergraduate studies such as Engineering. Cognitive Science is essentially the study of the human mind and how humans process information. It is the study of human responses, thinking, and perception. Human behavior and a person’s reaction are undetermined, but it can be better understood. Although human behavior and interaction is a routine part of life, engineers are taught to decipher code and not how to decipher a human’s behavior. Cognitive Science affects all aspects in the work environment. Organizational practices can be improved by understanding common biases and motivational theories in people. Having a cognitive awareness of typical human behavior will help to promote improved communication and positive reactions from people in the workplace. Human behavior is inevitable in any field but more crucial in technical fields especially when there is lack of communication or ambiguous guidelines and definitions. In technical fields, miscommunication or ambiguity can be a matter of life or death. In many situations, miscommunication can drive ambiguity. Although some people are happy with flexible guidelines, others seek to have well defined expectations. How do people react in situations surrounding miscommunication or ambiguity? In both situations, some people create opportunities and others become a hindrance. Processes and procedures can be put in place to alleviate ambiguous situations, but human performance and psychological factors still play a role as well. Human error can result from psychological factors, but the environment can be improved to limit those factors. As with any situation, mishaps are still prone to happen. Although human error is preventable in most cases, it’s never completely unavoidable. Human error continues to be a deep-rooted cause that can lead to negative outcomes. As stated by Alexander Pope, “to err is human…” (Moncur). This paper will explore underlying human behavior in daily activities. By understanding common biases and motivational theories driving human behavior, one can address negative behavior in a technical field in order to create opportunities. / text

Face Tracking Using Optical Flow : Real-Time Optical Flow Enhanced AdaBoost Cascade Face Tracker

Ranftl, Andreas January 2014 (has links)
This master thesis deals with real-time algorithms and techniques for face detection and facetracking in videos. A new approach is presented where optical flow information is incorporatedinto the Viola-Jones face detection algorithm, allowing the algorithm to update the expectedposition of detected faces in the next frame. This continuity between video frames is not exploitedby the original algorithm from Viola and Jones, in which face detection is static asinformation from previous frames is not considered. In contrast to the Viola-Jones face detector and also to the Kanade-Lucas-Tomasi tracker, theproposed face tracker preserves information about near-positives.In general terms the developed algorithm builds a likelihood map from results of the Viola-Jones algorithm, then computes the optical flow between two consecutive frames and finallyinterpolates the likelihood map in the next frame by the computed flow map. Faces get extractedfrom the likelihood map using image segmentation techniques. Compared to the Viola-Jonesalgorithm an increase in stability as well as an improvement of the detection rate is achieved.Firstly, the real-time face detection algorithm from Viola and Jones is discussed. Secondly theauthor presents methods which are suitable for tracking faces. The theoretical overview leadsto the description of the proposed face tracking algorithm. Both principle and implementationare discussed in detail. The software is written in C++ using the Open Computer Vision Libraryas well as the Matlab MEX interface. The resulting face tracker was tested on the Boston Head Tracking Database for which groundtruth information is available. The proposed face tracking algorithm outperforms the Viola-Jones face detector in terms of average detection rate and temporal consistency.

Rhoticité et 'r' de sandhi en anglais : du Lancashire à Boston

Navarro, Sylvain 20 September 2013 (has links) (PDF)
