Prekės ženklų „Rasa“ ir „Margarita“ žinomumas: vartotojų nuomonių tyrimas / Brands „Rasa“ and „Margarita“ Awareness: analysis of consumer's opinion

Bakalauro baigiamajame darbe nagrinėjamas prekės ženklų „Rasa“ ir „Margarita“ žinomumas: prekės ženklo samprata, prekės ženklo žinomumo samprata, prekės ženklo žinomumo vaidmuo prekės identifikavime, asociacijų vaidmuo prekės ženklo žinomumui, prekės ženklo įvaizdžio vaidmuo prekės ženklo žinomume, prekės ženklo žinomumo įtaka vartotojų lojalumui bei pateikiamas prekės ženklas kaip vertės elementas. Šio darbo tikslas yra ištirti prekės ženklų „Rasa“ ir „Margarita“ žinomumą vartotojų nuomonių aspektu. Tikslui pasiekti buvo vykdomi du tyrimai: kiekybinis ir kokybinis. Kokybiniame tyrime dalyvavo 8 respondentai, o kiekybiniame tyrime 110 respondentų. Apibendrinant abiejų tyrimų rezultatus, galima teigti, kad prekės ženklai „Rasa“ ir „Margarita“ nėra aiškūs – vartotojams, kyla abejonių, kad tai kosmetikos priemonių prekės ženklas. Prekės ženklams „Rasa“ ir „Margarita“ trūksta spalvingumo, jų šriftas - nėra išskirtinis šių prekės ženklų pranašumas. Tačiau vartotojai žino ir atpažįsta prekės ženklus, taip teigia 93 proc., bet naudoja ne visi žinantys šiuos prekės ženklus: 40 proc. respondentų naudoja „Rasa“ prekės ženklu pažymėtus produktus ir 51 proc. naudoja „Margarita“ produktus. Vartotojai šiems prekės ženklams nėra lojalūs, tačiau 46 proc. respondentų rekomenduotų juos savo draugams ir pažįstamiems. [toliau žr. visą tekstą] / Awareness of the brands „Rasa“ and „Margarita“ is analysed in the bachelor thesis, i.e., conception of the brand, conception of the brand awareness, the role of the brand awareness in the process of item identification, significance of associations to the brand awareness, the role of the brand image in the brand awareness and influence of the brand awareness upon consumer loyalty. Moreover, the brand is presented as an element of value in the work. The purpose of the thesis is to survey awareness of the brands „Rasa“ and „Margarita“ in the aspect of consumer opinion. In pursuance of achieving the purpose two surveys were conducted: qualitative and quantitative. 8 respondents took part in the qualitative survey and 110 respondents participated in the quantitative survey. When summarizing the results of both surveys it can be stated that the brands „Rasa“ and „Margarita“ are not clearly obvious as the consumers doubt whether these two ones are cosmetic brands. The brands „Rasa“ and „Margarita“ lack flamboyance and their type is not any exclusive advantage of the brands. Title: Brand equity of professional sports club Objectives: The Diploma Thesis aims to make a survey of professional sports club brand. This thesis is complemented by specialist studies, interview and by the questionnaire survey. The main task is to determine how fans of football club perceive his brand called brand equity and how the club takes care of brand in relation to their fans. Also we discover any shortcomings at the stadium during a football match. Methods: The research of perception brand equity by fans of football club is made by using a questionnaire. Next method used is the interview, which will be with a marketing director of the club. Its goal is to discover the opinion of the club on the minds of their fans feel. After evaluation of these methods, we performed a confrontation. Results: The outcome of the thesis is to learn about brand equity professional sports club perceived by their fans. Submitted proposals for improving based on the perceived shortcomings of the fans and of the club of trying to achieve better access in relation to their neighborhood and their fans. Syfte Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur sponsring påverkar konsumenters uppfattning av ett varumärke. Metod Genom ett deduktivt synsätt har litteratur och vetenskapliga artiklar analyserats för att skapa en översikt av tidigare forskning. Data har samlats in via en enkätundersökning där resultatet har analyserats med hjälp av deskriptiv statistik och faktoranalys. Vidare har en diskussion förts över studiens resultat som har lett fram till studiens slutsats. Slutsats Utifrån studien kan vi fastställa att sponsring har positiv inverkan på konsumenters varumärkesmedvetenhet och varumärkesimage. Publiken under ett sportevenemang har förmågan att igenkänna och skapar en minnesbild av ett varumärke som sedan leder till  en förbättrad varumärkesimage. Sponsringen bidrar till att skapa associationer som är betydande för hur konsumenten vidare värderar relationen till ett varumärke. Data were collected through a survey where the results have been analyzed by using descriptive statistics and factor analysis. Furthermore, a discussion has been made overthe results of the study which leads to a conclusion of the study. Conclusions Based on the study, we can determine that the sponsorship has a positive impact on consumer brand awareness and brand image. The audience for a sporting event has the ability to recognize and recall a brand which leads to an improved brand image. The sponsorship will help to create associations that are significant for how the consumer further values the relationship with a brand.

Brand Equity for E-recruitment companies : A quantitative research on individuals´ intention to use e-recruitment websites

Background: Internet has brought radical changes in the recruitment industry where individuals are increasingly turning to the Internet when seeking jobs. The increased use of e-recruitment is partly because it is considered to be the most effective way to reach the target group of applicants, and partly because of the cost savings and competitive pressure in the market. Therefore, is the brand a crucial factor for online companies such as e-recruitment websites thus having a strong brand can lead to competitive advantage in the market. The role of branding in e-marketing is increasingly getting more important. Previous research has used intention to purchase as an outcome of brand equity. However, this research studies brand equity towards intention to use as most e-recruitment websites offer free services. Purpose: To describe the determinants of brand equity of e-recruitment websites and how they affect individuals’ intention to use such websites. Methodology: A quantitative research was chosen to collect the data using an online questionnaire to be able to describe the variables relationship in this research. Conclusion: The findings of this research suggests that brand equity as a whole increases individuals’ intention to use an e-recruitment website. The determinant of brand equity; brand awareness, perceived quality and brand loyalty gave a positive and significant relationship towards individuals’ intention to use. The findings involving the moderator were found to be significant when using brand equity as whole, while being rejected when involving the determinants of brand equity.

Produktplaceringens avtryck i en TV-serie

Syfte: Syftet med studien var att ge en utökad förståelse för hur användandet av produktplacering kan påverka tittarnas syn på en TV- serie. Metod: Ett avsnitt av den svenska TV- serien Solsidan användes på grund av dess omfattande kritik mot användandet av produktplaceringar. Empirin samlades in genom en kombination av enkäter och fokusgrupper där 21 respondenter deltog och där de fick se ett avsnitt ur serien. Teori: Teorier om minnesprocessen, varumärkeskännedom, informationshanteringsprocessen, olika dimensioner av produktplacering samt dess för- och nackdelar har använts för att sammanlänkas med studiens resultat. Slutsats: Produktplacering medförde ingen förändrad syn på TV- serien Solsidan av olika anledningar: A)    Samtliga respondenter hade en positiv inställning till produktplacering. B)    I snitt uppmärksammades endast 29 % av placeringarna. C)    De varumärken som uppmärksammades var mycket bra integrerade och påverkade inte tittarupplevelsen negativt. D)    Produktplaceringen gjorde handlingen mer realistisk och trovärdig då respondenterna kunde relatera till liknande händelser. / Purpose: The purpose of this study was to provide an enhanced understanding about how the use of product placement can affect the opinion of a TV series.   Methodology: The Swedish TV- series Solsidan was used because of its criticism about product placement. The empirical data was collected by a combination of surveys and focus groups in which 21 respondents participated and watched one episode of the series.   Theories: Theories about the memory process, brand awareness, information processing, different dimensions of product placement and its pros and cons where used to conjoin to the results.   Conclusion: Product placement did not affect the opinion on the TV- series Solsidan for different reasons: A)     All respondents had a positive attitude towards product placement. B)    The recall of the placements was on average no higher than 29 %. C)    The brands that where noticed where well integrated and did not affect the viewing experience negatively. D)    Product placement made the scene more realistic and credible as the respondents could relate to similar situations.

Examines the benefits of social media marketing in contrast to traditional advertising

In the recent year’s internet have grown rapidly, and the digital world have grown along with it. This have led to new marketing methods such as social media marketing has developed which have shown to be good tool for building relationship with consumers and increase brand awareness. In the same time traditional advertising, which is a good tool for creating brand awareness, is losing its effectiveness for it. The purpose with this study is therefore to examine why companies continue using traditional advertising for brand awareness when the digital world is growing, and more people spend their time on internet and social media. This study was an exploratory with a qualitative and deductive approach. Expert interviews were chosen as research strategy and the candidates that was interviewed had a marketing manager position or similar that was from different branches and hade much knowledge about the topic. The findings in this study gave some interesting insights and new knowledge regarding social media marketing and traditional advertising. Like one of the big advantages with social media marketing have shown not be true anymore. In this study’s findings it is shown that traditional advertising can still be an effective marketing method to use if companies want to reach the older generation. But the findings also show that it is maybe more important to have advertising that is of high quality in order to not annoy consumers instead of finding the best marketing channel. This study’s theoretical contribution is more knowledge on the advantages and disadvantages between social media marketing and traditional advertising. The study also contribute how companies can work with the challenge of decreasing consumers annoyance of advertising. Another theoretical contribution is the knowledge that advertising annoyance is happening both in traditional advertising and social media marketing and that it is not only important to know the best marketing channel. The practical contribution that this study have is the knowledge to companies that are struggling with the decision to start using social media marketing or not. This study also give knowledge on why social media marketing is good and how companies can use social media marketing to establish brand awareness.

In this research a qualitative research approach was applied to suit the content of the research. A telephone interview was conducted to give a qualitative view of this research.</p><p>FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONSAwareness (aided, unaided), contributes to the recognition of brand equity. In the empirical part of the thesis brand recognition and awareness can be facilitated by Citibank-Cameroon subsidiary being participative in its social corporate responsibility plan to develop the community by planting trees and organizing football competition every summer holidays. This brand strategy has been used for several years to keep a positive brand image of the bank.</p>
