Elektronický regulátor rychlosti vozidla / Electronic speed controller

Šimbera, Michal January 2019 (has links)
The thesis deals with the design, realisation and functional verification of an electronic cruise control unit. Required inputs, outputs and controller of the control unit are identified first. The design and layout of the electronical components, including the processor, power supply and other necessary hardware is discussed. The algorithm for the control unit is developed in C/C++ and thoroughly analysed. The functionality of the cruise control unit equipped with the algorithm is verified through a case study performed on a combustion engine.

Redeveloping a mixing system in a biomedical device to improve system control and increase its intelligence and effectiveness : Redeveloping a mixing mechanism using ESP32, TMC5130, Bluetooth and CAN-bus

Bahtiti, Aref January 2023 (has links)
Biogas is a renewable energy source produced by decomposing organic matter in the absence of oxygen. Without oxygen, organic matter is broken down in this process, producing a mixture of gases that may be used for a variety of tasks, such as heating, cooking, and producing power. In contrast to conventional fossil fuels, biogas is economical and sustainable. Additionally, it may be produced from waste products like animal manure and agricultural wastes, which has considerable economic advantages. Due to its capacity to lower greenhouse gas emissions and solve climate change challenges, biogas has grown in popularity. To find the most effective source of biogas, scientists are constantly studying different types of bacteria and organic waste. The biologists can receive assistance from technicians to expedite the development of this field. Assistance can be provided by enhancing the laboratory equipment to make them more intelligent, user-friendly, and productive, which is the focus of this research endeavour. This study's state-of-the-art is an Automatic Methane Potential Test System currently utilised in laboratories and available for purchase. This project aims to redesign the blending mechanism of the Automatic Methane Potential Test System. The system is designed to operate independently using CAN communication and an edge device (a smartphone) that connects to the system via Bluetooth. The application for smartphones is designed to communicate with a master controller using Bluetooth Classic to send and receive data. Which, in turn, uses CAN-bus to interact with 18 bioreactors remotely. The TMC5130 stepper motor controller is utilised in this project, offering cutting-edge characteristics that meet the project's needs. The system's components have each been individually tested on a prototype. The result is encouraging and shows that, with modest adjustments, the conceptual design might one day successfully replace the current system.

In this thesis a scan tool is developed for vehicles' CAN buses (CAN - controller area network - bus) in order to obtain data for fault diagnosis and receiving telemetry data in real time. The interface can be used to export data to help in diagnosing faults before they become costly, to study the function of the car in real time, to confirm proper operation or to gather data for improving performance etc. In this thesis an OBD scanner is developed that uses the communication protocols supported by OBD-II interface in order to collect data from car buses and sends it to a bundled software for presentation and further processing for extracting useful information and draw further conclusions.

Implementation of a Dual-Active-Bridge Bidirectional Isolated DC to DC Converter in Home Area Network

Lo, Sheng-Chieh 13 September 2012 (has links)
In recent years, smart gird has received much attention, and many researchers have devoted to home area network (HAN) to improve the efficiency of grid. This thesis proposes a bidirectional isolated DC-DC converter (Dual Active Bridge, DAB) with phase shift control to implement the concept of HAN. Li+Fe battery is used as storage device of the converter, and a bidirectional communication between Laboratory Virtual Instrumentation Engineering Workbench (LabVIEW) and Digital Signal Processor (DSP) is realized by CAN-bus. By setting the current command given by LabVIEW system, the converter is able to charge the Li+Fe battery with constant current and constant voltage method as well as discharge the Li+Fe battery with constant current. Operation principle of the converter and the associated loss are presented.

The hardware of the robot is composed of a set of sensors and actuators organized in a CAN bus. Two embedded computers and eigth microcontroller based boards are used in the system. One of the computers hosts the vision system, due to the significant processing needs of this kind of system. The other computer is used to coordinate and access the CAN bus and to accomplish the other activities of the robot. The microcontroller-based boards are used with the sensors and actuators. The robot has this distributed configuration in order to exhibit a good real-time behavior, where the response time and the temporal predictability of the system is important. We adopted the hybrid deliberative-reactive paradigm in the proposed architecture to conciliate the reactive behavior of the sensors-actuators net and the deliberative activities required to accomplish more complex tasks / Neste trabalho ? apresentada uma arquitetura de hardware e software para controle do rob? m?vel aut?nomo Kapeck. Translation of CAN Bus XML Messages to C Source Code

Andersson, Gustav January 2020 (has links)
The concept of translating source code into other target programming languages is extensively used in a wide area of applications. Danfoss Power Solutions AB, a company located in Älmhult, strives to streamline their way of software development for microcontrollers by implementing this idea. Their proprietary software tool PLUS+1 GUIDE is based on the CAN bus communication network, which allows electronic control units to share data represented in the XML format. Due to compatibility problems, the application in the electronic control units requires this data to be translated into the source code in the low-level C programming language. This thesis project proposes an approach for facilitating this task by implementing a source-to-source compiler that performs the translation with a reduced level of manual user involvement. A literature review was conducted in order to find the existing solutions relevant to our project task. An analysis of the provided XML input files was thereafter performed to clarify a software design suitable for the problem. By using a general XML parser, a solution was then constructed. The implementation resulted in a fully functional source-to-source compiler, producing the generated C code within a time range of 73–85 milliseconds for the input test files of typical size. The feedback received from the domain experts at Danfoss confirms the usability of the proposed solution.

Data tampering in Vehicle CAN Bus networks

Arapantonis, Elpidoforos January 2019 (has links)
The paradigm of the automotive industry has changed, over the course of the last10-15 years. Electronics and software, have introduced in many dierents parts ofa vehicle and the drive-by-wire it is taking over the vehicle functions. Connectivityfunctionalities are increasing in the context of the automotive industry as well. Allthe aforementioned parts have more than one common link. This thesis project willfocus on one of these links, which is the security. The focus will be the CAN busprotocol and specically, on investigating the implications of an adversary havingphysical access in a vehicle. An experiment will be contucted as part of this thesiswork, by using open source hardware (Arduino and Raspberry Pi) and a Man-inthe-middle (MITM) attack scenario, will be implemented. The application, whichwill perform the MITM attack (small scale CAN bus fuzzer) will be developedduring this project and it will be distributed as an open source software afterwards.
