Most web portals face three fundamental problems regarding content and design: 1) The sharing of responsibilities between programmers, designers and editors, 2) the mixture of content and design and the 3) problem of finding the most logical and user-friendly structure. Programmers and designers, who play a vital role during design and implementation, are usually not very interested in and may not possess the information needed for day to day maintenance of the web pages. On the other hand, staff responsible for contents is not necessarily knowledgeable in web design. This problem can be solved by letting those responsible for contents issue orders or wishes to the programmers but this process may lack both speed and accuracy. Web page used to publish academic department activity is not different from other web pages and the problems with web design and maintenance will lead to many web pages being left inaccurate or not properly updated. My task is to design and develop content management system which fulfills all academic department activity needs.

Visada visur skubanti visuomenė jau yra įpratusi, kad visa reikalinga informacija yra pateikiama internete ir tik būtent jo pagalba galima padaryti arba greitai atlikti daugybę darbų. Elektroninė bankininkystė, elektroninės parduotuvės, ir dar daug įvairių paslaugų teikianti virtuali erdvė išties palengvina gyventojų buitį. Tai žinodami įvairių paslaugų tiekėjai stengiasi save reklamuoti internetinėje erdvėje, kurdami įvairiausius tinklapius, svetaines ir tiklaraščius. Visi žino, kad sėkmingo verslo paslaptis yra gera reklama. Taigi, internetas puiki vieta tai reklamai skleisti. Norint, kad svetainė būtų įdomi bei informatyvi, ją reikia nuolatos atnaujinti ir papildyti. Atviro kodo turinio valdymo sistemos yra puikus sprendimas kuriant įvairius tinklapius, nes jos tinka ir paprastai svetainei, ir skelbimų puslapiams, ir tinklaraščiams bei rimtiems portalams. Darbe išnagrinėta 15 atviro kodo turinio valdymo sistemų, iš kurių pagal išskirtus kriterijus buvo išrinktos trys, kurias palyginus tarpusavyje atrinkta pati optimaliausia sistema. Su ja buvo sukurtas asmeninis tinklapis. Darbo tikslas: atlikus informacijos analizę bei pasirinkus sistemų vertinimo kriterijus, atrinkti optimaliausią atviro kodo turinio valdymo sistemą. In the century of information and new technologies, the website on the Internet is one of the self-expression (oneself organization, facilities provided, etc.) ways. The website on the Internet is a constantly changeable virtual space which can realize growing consumers’ demands and everyday it requires innovations and initiative. Therefore for the organization of the website, Content Management Systems are used, which highly facilitates and fasten the work with the website. Open source content management system allows websites to easily store, update and publish different types of content. There are various types of open source CMS systems available in the market today. The thesis of this course paper is to analyse the functional capabilities of the open source content management systems. The main goals are: • to reveal the main features and peculiarities of the content management systems; • to analyze the open-source content management system concepts and characteristics; • to make a comparative analysis of open-source content management systems according to chosen criterias; • to compare closely three open-source chosen CMS; • to select he optimal open-source CMS to create a personal web site.

Webbdesign är ett populärt och viktigt område inom medieproduktion. Som ett avslutande examensarbete inom högskoleprogrammet till medieproducent har jag producerat en webbplats till årets upplaga av musikfestivalen Popup i Umeå. Projektgruppen har bestått av mig som ensam producent och beställargruppen Kulturföreningen Humlan i Umeå, föreningen som arrangerar Popup. I den här rapporten beskriver jag vägen från första mötet med min uppdragsgivare till den färdiga webbplatsen. Jag redogör även för de verktyg som använts, bland annat CMS-systemet Wordpress. / Web design is a popular and important field within media production. As a final degree project within the University Programme in Media, I have produced a website for this year’s edition of the music festival Popup in Umeå. The project team has consisted of me as sole producer, and client group Kulturföreningen Humlan in Umeå, the organization that arranges Popup. In this report I describe the path from the first meeting with my client to the final website. I also state what tools I have used, including CMS Wordpress.

Goal of my thesis is to design and create a new template for CMS WordPress for online journal or a blog with use of HTML5 and CSS3. The resulting template will be responsive. In the first part I will focus on describing WordPress and its history in general. In the next, second, chapter, I will examine the architecture and technologies used by the system. Third chapter will deal with structure of plugin and theme systems. In the fourth and final chapter I will examine the process of creating template in a greater detail. In the partical demonstration I will show creating a new template from scratch, going over basic conceptions, wireframes, coding and final implementation on a live website.

This diploma thesis deals with the design of the new IT architecture of small businesses. The aim of this work is to propose the new network structure, hardware, software and to compare the different solutions. It also contains the proposal of bussines processes which use the Information System of the company. Finally, the work considers the possibility of using the CMS and proposes the design of web presentation. In the first part, the basic concepts are defined. They are important for processing the practical part of the work. The second part describes the practical proposal of the new IT architecture based on the theoretical data from the first part.

The main concern of this thesis is the design and implementation of advanced Web application in ASP.NET 1.0 Core, consisting of a presentation web and administration section. A part of the thesis is also design of a custom architecture for a data source (CRUDQ) suitable for any application, whose implementation is further demonstrated in the developed web application. Selected database system is document database called MongoDB, which is accessed using the author designed architecture approach. Other important aspects of the work includes for example effective interconnection between MVC and MVVM architectures, which is achieved by custom generator of JavaScript data model. The generated data model is used by KnockoutJS framework to ensure the functionality of user interface. The web application is fully functional simple CMS, executable on three most widely used desktop operating systems, using the latest technology tools and design patterns.

Current breeding of oilseed rape is focused on breeding of F1 hybrids and the male sterility and self-incompatibility could play the significant role in hybrid breeding programmes. Plant breeders also more widely utilize molecular genetic techniques for selection of desirable plants/genotypes. Molecular methods are faster, more reliable and more specific than conventional ones, which are based mainly on morphological descriptors. The aim of my thesis was to optimize PCR analysis methods and to develop specific molecular markers for target plant selection in oilseed rape hybrid breeding programmes. The new marker for detection of fertility restoration gene (Rf) in CMS Ogu-INRA plants was tested. New primer pair RsPPRF2/RsPPRR2 was designed in the coding region of PPR-B protein, which participates in the restoration of fertility in CMS Ogu-INRA. Also newly designed primers BrSLGIIF/BrSLGIIR were tested in SI plants. The optimal annealing temperaturse of these primers was 58 °C. But amplification in some SC plants was also observed. The optimization of the PCR reaction was performed for all designed primers. The set of F1 SI hybrids created by crossing of two lines with different S II haplotypes was tested by using of the PCR-RFLP technique for detection of polymorphism in amplified fragments.

Under de senaste åren har webbplatser blivit allt mer komplexa och informationen som ska visas och hanteras allt större. För att underlätta hantering och administration av dessa system har många CMS-system vuxit fram. Dessa system kan skilja sig mycket beträffande pris och funktionalitet, allt från mindre open source system till stora komplexa kommersiellt drivna system. Detta arbete bygger på att skräddarsy ett CMS-system för administration och hantering av innehåll på diverse artist sidor, som hanteras av ett medieföretag. Systemet använder tekniker som JavaScript, PHP, MySQL som grund för dess uppbyggnad. Resultatet av detta arbete blev ett CMS-system där användaren genom att logga in på systemet, enkelt kan hantera och uppdatera bilder, nyheter, textstrukturer, skicka och hantera nyhetsbrev etc.

GävleTidningar AB är en del av Mittmedia, en av Sveriges största tidningskoncerner. Företaget kommer under 2007 att uppgradera sitt webbpubliceringssystem och behöver därmed se över de befintliga systemen inför migreringen till det nya. Målet med den här utredningen är att dokumentera de system som tillhandahåller uppgifter om privatkunder och se om det i sin tur kan leda till förslag på ökad integration systemen emellan. Ett exempel på vad ökad integration kan innebära är att man skapar en så pass användarvänlig webbplats för kunderna så att de inte behöver använda sig av flera olika inloggningsuppgifter för att ändra sin information. Utredningen har gjorts i samarbete med flertalet aktörer i företagets närhet, både interna och externa. Resultatet av utredningen blev en presentation av de olika systemen med datamodeller, beskrivningar och en användningssfallsspecifikation så att företaget enklare kan beskriva nuläget för kravställarna.
