Effective internal communication methods and media for knowledge transfer in the manufacturing industry

Ramashilabele, Mosimanegape Lazarus 19 June 2011 (has links)
This study was designed to determine the effective internal communication methods and media for knowledge transfer in the manufacturing industry. The research involved the collection of quantitative data through non-probability, convenience sampling. The data was collected using survey questionnaires at three companies in the manufacturing industry namely; Exxaro FerroAlloys, Tubatse Chrome and Amalgamated Beverage Industries. The data was analysed using descriptive and univariate statistical techniques. The study showed that push communication methods and high-media rich communication is preferred for transferring information/explicit knowledge in the manufacturing industry. The most preferred communication methods (top three) for information/explicit knowledge transfer were email followed by newsletters and compulsory meetings. The importance of media richness in transferring tacit knowledge was shown. The study found that High-media rich communication, especially face-to-face, was preferred to transfer and share tacit knowledge. These findings were discussed in the context of existing literature and a number of recommendations were made. TALKMAP : en kommunikationsmodell för bättre ledarskap? / TALKMAP : a communication method towards better leadership?

Andersson, Anna January 2015 (has links)
The purpose of this essay was primarily to seek knowledge about how leaders using the Talkmap method, feel that their attitude and leadership was affected. The study used symbolic interactionism, communication theory, and some leadership theories, to understand and interpret the respondents' different experiences. This study is qualitative with a hermeneutic approach, and the interpretations are based on respondents' experiences of Talkmap. The study used an abductive approach when analyzing the seven semi-structured interviews. The result of the study showed that all respondents felt they had developed their abilities in treatment. They used tools and models in Talkmap, which gave them knowledge of how people like to reflect themselves in each other. This knowledge could be used in interpersonal meetings. One important aspects given by the respondents was that they now felt less stress, since they could control development of conversation. They also felt that the emphasis of the course was on optimism and positivity, which led to the fact that they often reflected on their leadership and how to improve as leaders. The essay concluded that good treatment always can evolve, and by participating in Talkmap the leadership could develop by gaining more tools

Creating legitimacy within blockchain startups in a virtual context : A study on how decentralized organizations raise funds before executing an Initial Coin Offering.

Yusuf, Hoodo, Martinez Bergström, Malin January 2019 (has links)

Spolupráce rodiny a školy / Family and school cooperation

Petrusová, Jana January 2018 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with the mutual cooperation of the family and the special elementary school. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part I deal with family and school cooperation, defining the concept of family, its functions and duties. The second chapter of this part consists of education of pupils with mental retardation. Here I'm going to explain the term of mental retardation, the causes of its origin, the dividing and the characteristics of the special elementary school. The last chapter of the theoretical part presents the model of the school holding the "Parents welcome" certificate. In the practical part I deal with specific research of family cooperation and special elementary school in Čáslav. The research is conducted through questionnaires and interviews. Also, I compare the requirements for awarding the "Parents welcome" brand to the forms of collaboration of a particular school. I'll find out if the Special School in Čáslav meets these criteria. Keywords: cooperation, family, special elementary school, mental retardation, brand "Parents welcome"

Spolupráce rodiny a školy / Family and school cooperation

Jílková, Lucie January 2011 (has links)
The bases of this diploma thesis are a family and school cooperation, means of cooperation and ways leading to a cooperation improvement. The submitted work deals with theoretical aspects of the family and school co- operation and a report from a practical investigation on this subject executed at the primary school follows. The research is based on the exploring method of an interview (i.a. via web pages created by myself) for current and future teachers at primary schools and for parents. The work focuses on upgrading and reengineering of communication forms be- tween schools and parents. The parent is considered as a "consumer , a "partner or a "citizen . This point of view is based on the empirical research of the family and school cooperation by Milada Rabušicová and Milan Pol. This research has been executed at the primary schools in Brno. Next, the models of family and school partnerships in accordance with Birte Ravnová are also introduced. A definition of terms: a family (by several experts), a function of family and type of family (in accordance with so-called a "Functionality of family questionnaire ) is introduced. Next terms as: a school and social atmosphere, a school environment, a positive school atmosphere (and its important character in compliance with Helena Grecmanová) are also presented....

Relationship of organizational communication methods and leaders' perceptions of the 2002 Farm Bill: a study of selected commodity-specific, general agricultural, and natural resources organizations

Catchings, Christa Leigh 01 November 2005 (has links)
The purpose of this study was to determine perceptions of organizational communication methods used by selected commodity-specific, general agricultural and, conservation or natural resources organizations to disseminate information about the Farm Security and Rural Investment (FSRI) Act of 2002 within their organizations. A secondary purpose was to evaluate if preferred organizational communication methods related to organization leaders?? perceptions of the FSRI Act of 2002. Previous studies have assessed organizational communication methods and members?? perceptions, but little research has been completed on the combination of these variables. The instrument used in this study was derived from modified versions of Sulak??s (2000) 1996 Farm Bill survey, a similar instrument by Catchings and Wingenbach (2003), and Franklin??s (1975) organizational communication survey. The target population (N=300) was all selected Texas organizations?? board members. The accessible population (n=160) were selected Texas organizations (commodity-specific, general agriculture, and conservation or natural resources) board members. There were 70 respondents with a response rate of 44%. iv The respondents from this study were mostly board members from a commodity-specific organization and were 46 to 55 years old. They had attended college or completed an undergraduate degree, were raised on a rural farm or ranch, and currently live on rural farm or ranch. The respondents from selected Texas organizations indicated that they had some knowledge about 17 of the 18 primary issues or programs in the 2002 Farm Bill. Selected Texas organizations board members strongly agreed that their respective organizations wanted to meet their primary objectives and information about important events or situations were shared within their organizations. The respondents strongly agreed with the statement ??farm organization coalitions were essential for enacting the 2002 Farm Bill,?? and ??farm organizations strongly influenced the 2002 Farm Bill.?? This study summated and correlated the perceptions of organizational communication methods and perceptions of influencers affecting the outcome of the 2002 Farm Bill. Through that correlation, this study can conclude there was a moderately significant and positive relationship between perceived organizational communication methods and perceived levels of influencers affecting the outcome of the 2002 Farm Bill.
