Os resultados indicaram coeficientes de validade superiores a 0,80 (clareza: situação I: = 0,93 e situação II: = 0,89; relevância: situação I: = 0,99 e situação II: = 0,87; representatividade: situação II: = 0,87 e situação III: = 0,90). / The study’s objective was to propose a valid battery of tests able to measure coordination with the ball in team sports (JEC). The content validity was implied through the content coefficient of validity (CVC) and tested in the dimensions of language clarity, ecological relevance, and the conditions representativeness in three different situations involving judges. The results indicated validity coefficients above 0.80 (clarity: situation I: = 0.93 and situation II: = 0.89; relevance: Situation I: = 0.99 and situation II: = 0, 87; representative: situation II: = 0.87 and situation III: = 0.90). Criterion validity for ages and sexes was tested in a sample of 598 students from elementary school from 7 to 15 years old (11.33 ± 2.080).The U-Mann- Whitney test was used to detect differences between the sexes in every dimension of the instrument and ANOVA Kruskal-Wallis H with post -hoc test for age detection. The Spearman correlation coefficient was used to check whether there is improvement in the results with age. Relevant differences (p <0.05) were found between ages and sexes in the 5 dimensions and the overall result of the coordination test with the ball (TECOBOL) and the level of correlation found between age and coordinative performance is considered moderate. The dimensions consist of four items of skills (throwing, kicking, dribbling and driving) performed under five conditions of pressure make up the twenty items TECOBOL - coordination test with the ball. These items showed saturation values of item-factor between 0.30 and 0.83 as satisfactory and the factors account for 48 -51% of the variance within. In the confirmatory factor analysis the TECOBOL obtained values of the quadratic X ² / gl. = 4.22, TFI (0.961), CFI (0.970) and RMSEA (0.074) considered superior to accepted levels. The internal consistency of factors presented results of = 0.64 to 0.74 and the index observed in the battery tests was = 0.91. With these results the content validity, criterion and therefore the construct of TECOBOL can be accepted, and the instrument is valid for its purposes.

Strength of welded shear studsLyons, John C. 10 June 2009 (has links)
To better understand the behavior of composite beams in buildings, push-out tests were conducted to study the behavior of welded shear studs. Forty-eight solid slab push-out tests were conducted to study how stud tensile strength and concrete properties affect the strength of shear connections. It is shown that raising the tensile strength of a shear connector actually has an adverse effect on the connector's performance and strength. It is also shown that the upper limit for shear strength used in the current AISC specification (Load 1993) is unconservative and a lower upper limit is proposed. Eighty-seven pushout tests utilizing steel deck were also conducted. It is shown how the placement, height, and arrangement of shear studs, as well as the height and gage of steel deck affects the strength of shear connections when stiffened steel deck is used. It is shown that the current AISC specification is unconservative and does not account for the many failure mechanisms associated with connections using steel deck. It is shown how tension within the stud shank, friction at the slab/beam interface, and steel deck strength affect the strength of shear connections. / Master of Science
