Demografisk sammansättning samt beteende hos medlemmar i panel

Johansson, Henrik, Kardell, Mathias January 2010 (has links)

The use of marketing research panels are a more and more frequently used source of information for studies within many different branches. The purpose of this report is to investigate the demographic composition of panels and compare it with the population of Sweden, a possible change in behaviour of respondents, and if the source of recruitment is the cause of possible differences in study results. The study was commissioned by Norstats Linkoping office. Sources for the data material include Norstat’s recruitment process and their two main panels with different recruitment sources. To enable a deeper investigation of behaviour we also constructed a survey that was sent to 2,714 members of Norstat’s internet panels.

The statistical analysis includes contingency table analysis, multiple logistic regression, and Poisson regression. The results show that the demographic composition does not fully cover all the aspects of the Swedish population and some groups are less represented than others. The behaviour tends to differ between panel members that have responded to three or less surveys compared to members that have responded to twenty or more surveys. Source of recruitment does not seem to affect the results of studies, but it has some effect on the demographic composition of marketing research panels.
/

2x2列聯表模型下MLE與MPLE之比較 / The comparison between MLE and MPLE under two-by two contingency table models

Unknown Date (has links)
Arnold and Strauss (1991) study the cases that three of the four cells in the 2x2 contingency table have the same cell probability θ. In particular, Arnold and Strauss (1991) compare the maximum likelihood estimate (MLE) and maximum pseudolikelihood estimate (MPLE) of the parameter θ. They find that MLE and MPLE of the parameter are not the same. In this thesis, we relax the assumptions so that those three cell probabilities may not be the same and each is proportional to a parameter θ. We find that, in general, MLE’s of θ are still not the same as MPLE’s of θ. Some special cases that make MLE the same as MPLE are also given. We also find, through computer simulations, that MLE’s are accurate than MPLE’s and that the difference between MLE and MPLE is getting larger when the parameter θ is closer to the midpoint of its space.

Korespondenční analýza / Correspondence analysis

Konrádová, Lucie January 2006 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to introduce statistical method called Correspondence analysis as a strong instrument for exploratory data analysis. The main purpose is to understand how to interpret the correspondence map, the graphical output of this method, correctly. The method is presented both in its simple version, and its extension to multivariate data. Usage of method is demonstrated on data of non-financial subjects of Czech republic, which are entered in the register of economic subjects.

Analýza dat ze závislých výběrů ve výzkumu trhu / Analysis of dependent samples in the market research

Mašková, Jana January 2008 (has links)
There are surveys carried out repeatedly on the same set of units. In connection with such research, we are talking about the dependent samples. The aim and the contribution of this diploma thesis is a summary of available methods for analyzing data from dependent samples for both continuous and discrete variables. The Czech literature has been devoted to this topic only marginally. The theoretical part is divided into two main parts for two waves and for more waves of exploration, which are further divided according to the type of reference variable. The third part is devoted to the application of the theoretical information in a market research.

For that we elaborated, we applied and we analyzed the results of a teaching sequence taking in consideration the beginnings of a Didactic Engineering. This teaching sequence is composed of four activities that they were created, basing on Carmen Batanero's didactic situations and other, with the aim of doing the student to contemplate on circumstances that involve not only the Conditional Probability, as the concepts linked to the Theorem of the Total Probability and the Theorem of Bayes. To work with such concepts we articulated in the subjects of the activities different representation registrations: natural, symbolic language, diagram of trees and contingency table, taking as base the Theory of Registrations of Representation of Raymond Duval. We applied this sequence to students of the courses of Licentiate of Mathematics and Science of the Computation and before the those students' protocols, we concluded that our sequence aided them they decrease it the difficulties lifted by us and for the researchers and at the same time it indicated themes for future researches in the area. Enter other conclusions stood out that most of the students before subjects that involve the Conditional Probability differentiated this of the Probability of the intersection of events and I calculate it of P(A/B) of the one of P(B/A), since these if they come in the questions in natural language. However when similar subjects were presented in the language symbolic many students they showed difficulties in solving them / Este trabalho tem por objetivo introduzir o conceito da Probabilidade Condicional em cursos de Estatística na Universidade.

Relative Clauses in Ælfric’s Catholic Homilies : a quantitative study

Golmann, Malcolm January 2008 (has links)

The aim of this degree project has been to examine, analyze and describe which intra-linguistic factors influence how relative clauses are formed in Old English.

The key to successfully performing the task of identifying which factors influences the relative causes is to examine how these factors are distributed among the relative clauses in the text. The main focus of this investigation thus was to investigate how the grammatical features of the antecedents of the relative clauses in Old English were distributed.
