Prestandaoptimering av hybrida mobilapplikationer : En kvalitativ studie

Vrethem, Anders January 2019 (has links)
Lately, as the market for mobile applications are growing there has appeared new innovative strategies that facilitates development of mobile applications for smartphones. One of those methods is hybrid development, the method has a tradeoff with performance, especially for older devices. Effects on performance is crucial when choosing development strategy. This study evaluates performance in terms of application launch time, and how it can be optimized. Performance is evaluated by performing real device test with a cloud service that provides a distribution of physical smartphone devices.

Kvantitativ prestanda i native och hybrid applikationer / Quantitative performance in native and hybrid applications

West, Oscar January 2016 (has links)

Utveckling av en applikation för logistik : En fallstudie i Stockholmsmässans logistiksystem CIS Expo / Development of an Application for Logistics : A Case Study of the Stockholm International Logistics System CIS Expo

Johansson, Fredrik January 2014 (has links)
This report describes how I went about to develop an application for mobile phones and tablets, to manage logistics matters at Stockholm International Fairs. Based on studying current documentation, observed Stockholm International Fairs workers on site and interviewed them, I then presented a set of requirements on both the functional and non-functional requirements. To then be able to select the most suitable frameworks to build a future implementation, and to replace the current rugged handheld computers used at Stockholm International Fairs. The app is designed for truck drivers to receive and create "orders", ie data of different types of assignments to be run from / to the stands and deliverytrucks etc. and also be able to handle the empty packaging and storage. The work resulted in a working concept including several frameworks working together to create all the necessary parts for a fully working system. The work was performed at a company called CargoIT whos delivering transportation and logistics solutions to companies such as Stockholm International Fairs which also had requirements that needed to be taken into account.

Hybridapplikationer med Apache Cordova och Flutter : En jämförande studie ur ett prestandaperspektiv / Hybrid Applications with Apache Cordova and Flutter : A comparative performance study

Malki, Ara January 2021 (has links)
Resultatet presenterar mätningar i respektive prestandarelaterad variabel. / Today we see an increased trend around the interest in application development, and in our society there are over three billion smartphone users. Hybrid application development is something companies can no longer overlook because the benefits weigh heavily. The benefits with hybrid applications include the fact that it uses a multi-platform code base. This in turn leads to a significant saving of time and resources during the development process. The two hybrid frameworks chosen for a comparative purpose are Apache Cordova and Flutter, and the purpose is to identify which framework performs the best out of a performance perspective. The question answered in the study is: What framework for creating a hybrid application between Apache Cordova and Flutter, is recommended out of a performance perspective? The study measures performance-related variables, these are execution speed, start-up time, CPU, RAM and battery usage. The study does this by creating two functionally identical applications in each framework. Data collection takes place via Android Profiler, Logcat and own implemented code. The result shows measurements in each performance-related variable. Not only does the overall results show that Flutter is the faster performing framework but also the framework with a higher use of resources.

THE SCHOOL OF PERFORMING ARTS AT BELLEVUE BAPTIST CHURCH AS A MODEL OF THE CHURCH-BASED ARTS ACADEMY

Kim, Hae Eun 16 May 2014 (has links)
ABSTRACT THE SCHOOL OF PERFORMING ARTS AT BELLEVUE BAPTIST CHURCH AS A MODEL OF THE CHURCH-BASED ARTS ACADEMY Hae Eun Kim, D.M.A. The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, 2014 Chair: Dr. Esther R. Crookshank The School of Performing Arts founded at Bellevue Baptist Church in Cordova, Tennessee is one of most successful examples of a church-related music academy in a Protestant or evangelical church in the United States. This dissertation is a study of its history and development from its founding in 1984 through the present in order to understand how a church-based music academy may be successfully operated. The methodology draws on interviews of prominent individuals in the School of Performing Arts and primary source documents related to the operation of the school since its founding. Chapter 1 establishes the historical background of the Academy in the larger context of church music education in the United States since the nineteenth century and specifically in Southern Baptist church life after 1941, when the denomination's Church Music Department was created. This chapter gives an overview of the leaders, philosophies, and objectives of church music education in the Southern Baptist Convention by decade. Chapter 2 documents the origins, philosophy, and development of the overall music ministry of Bellevue Baptist Church and the rise of its tradition of excellence in music education and performance. Since its founding, the School of Performing Arts has advanced the goals of family-based church ministry through the intentionally intergenerational nature of its ensembles. Chapter 3 traces the history of the School of Performing Arts in two periods: 1984-2004 and 2005 through the present, corresponding with the school's changes of name. From Performing Arts Center (1984-2005) to School of Performing Arts (2005-present), the name was changed in order to reflect more accurately the mission and goals of the applied music program at BBC: teaching people to praise God with instruments and voice. The conclusion, chapter 4, seeks to identify key factors and principles in the school's success and longevity despite the shift in recent years away from orchestral worship music in many Southern Baptist churches. This chapter also addresses possible applications of the Bellevue model to evangelical churches in Korea, many of which have extensive church music programs but lack educational programs, especially for instrumental music instruction, found in the American Southern Baptist model.

Variant-curation and database instantiation (Variant-CADI): an integrated software system for the automation of collection, annotation and management of variations in clinical genetic testing

Hallier, Andrea Rae 01 December 2016 (has links)
One of the tools a clinician has in disease diagnosis and treatment is genetic testing. To generate value in genetic testing, the link between genetic variants and disease must be discovered, documented, and shared within the community. Working with two existing genomic variation tools, Kafeen and Cordova, a new set of features referred to as Variant-Curation and Database Instantiation (Variant-CADI) was identified, designed, implemented and integrated into the existing Cordova system to unite data collection, management and distribution into one cohesive tool accessible through user interfaces. This eliminates the user needing specialized knowledge of the underlying implementation, data pipeline or data management to collect desired disease specific genetic variations. Using this tool, new disease-specific variation database instances have been initialized and created as demonstrations of the utility of these applications.
