Guidelines for repertoire selection for a beginner secondary school choir : an explanatory case study / Marshell Clive Lombard

Lombard, Marshell Clive January 2014 (has links)
This study investigated the criteria conductors use to select repertoire for beginner secondary school choirs and is based on a qualitative research design. The research was guided by a social constructivist worldview and is an explanatory case study. Data were collected through interviewing five experienced and established choir conductors who conduct secondary school choirs. Five themes crystallised through the data analyses, which are Education, Vocal ability, Type of choir, Programme choice and Audience preference and development. This study leads to further recommendations about possible research on repertoire that is best suited for beginner secondary school choirs and choir singing as experienced by the choristers and the audiences themselves. / MA (Musicology), North-West University, Potchefstroom Campus, 2015

English Abstract Evaluating the cases is the most important work in Venture Capital Company. So the key successful factor is to correctly and efficiently choose the invest case. In the past researches, they probed the important of evaluating criteria and ranged the evaluating criteria. But no study researches were from characters of manager, so the study wants to know the relationship between the characters of manager and the evaluating criteria. The results show that the venture capital managers who have commerce background would pay more attention to the marketing ability of enterprise team; managers who have science or engineering background would pay less attention to the financial ability of enterprise team; managers who have the experience in high-tech industry would pay less attention to marketing ability of enterprise team. And the emphases on managerial ability and product and technology innovation would grow up with the age of the venture capital managers. Besides that, this study finds that in the venture capital industry managers are very young and have high educational background.

Secure key management in a trusted domain on mobile devices

Solsjö, Oskar January 2015 (has links)
As mobile devices manage more and more sensitive information they have become a more targeted platform to exploit. To maintain system integrity while providing a highly responsive product, platform developers have developed hardware as well as software solutions to improve security. Until recently however, it was only possible to devise hardware solutions to achieve the security requirements of EU’s Restricted VoIP protocol. This thesis investigates whether a software solution can provide the necessary levels of assurance to protect EU Restricted Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) communications. The thesis covers a literature study over possible approaches to protect sensitive information, which was used in the risk analysis to derive five tests to evaluate the trusted execution environment. The tests show that the trusted execution environment does provide good protection but that the implementation and design greatly influence the robustness and level of assurance that can be expected from the trusted execution environment.
