The study has as object one of his works, the multi faceted Projeto Terra (Project Earth). With the creative basis in paintings and sculptures produced and fixed in the hinterland, the TERRA is also composed of photos, audio recordings, videos, books and a diary that register not only the works , but also the presence and testimony of native people at the exhibition sites. The goal of this paper is to discuss the relations of interaction and communication of the Projeto Terra with the geographical and socio- cultural environments where it is inserted, highlighting the diversity of the resources used for its documentary register in a collection of multimedia character. Such goal reflects in the assumption that the work is boosted by a force of expression that seeks to unite memory and tradition with renewal and invention and especially by a desire of communication that reaches from the aesthetic to the anthropological, from discourse to dialogue, from representation to self-exposition, forming a complex network. Thus, the methodological approach adopted is set in a case study based on the perspective of the critique of a semiotic base process that discusses the creation as a network in construction / A pesquisa propõe um estudo sobre os processos de criação do artista plástico e arquiteto baiano Juraci Dórea, que se dedica às artes desde a década de 60, tendo como objeto de estudo um dos seus trabalhos, o multifacetado Projeto Terra. Com a base criativa em pinturas e esculturas, produzidas e fixadas em pleno sertão, o Terra é composto ainda por fotos, gravações de áudio, vídeos, livros e um diário que registram não apenas as obras, como também a presença e o depoimento de sertanejos nos locais de exposição. O objetivo deste trabalho é discutir as relações de interação e de comunicação do Projeto Terra com os ambientes geográficos e socioculturais onde está inserido, realçando a diversidade de recursos utilizados para seu registro documental, em acervo de caráter multimidiático. Tal objetivo reflete-se na hipótese de que a obra é impulsionada por uma força de expressão que busca unir memória e tradição, com renovação e invenção, e especialmente, por um desejo de comunicação que vai do estético ao antropológico, do discurso ao diálogo, da representação à autoexposição, formando uma complexa rede. Sendo assim, a opção metodológica adotada se configura num estudo de caso, a partir da perspectiva da crítica de processo de base semiótica, que discute a criação como rede em construção
