In this perspective, it has deepened on the studies that have been carried out in this scope, aiming at debating and reflecting on the theoretical-methodological understandings constructed throughout the existence of this scientific field. It was evidenced that there are few studies directly oriented to the interdisciplinarity of Information Science, more specifically in relation to their contributions to the studies of the information culture. The objective was to analyze the theoretical construction in the field of Information Science, regarding its interdisciplinarity, aiming to highlight its contribution to the studies of information culture. In this sense, the concepts, currents and approaches on interdisciplinarity, the historiographic evolution of the studies of information culture and the scientific production on the subject were analyzed. In addition, we sought to analyze and reflect on the characteristics and attributes attributed to the conception of 'Information and Knowledge Society' and, lastly, we analyzed the contributions of the area of Information Science regarding its interdisciplinarity for Information culture. For that, a descriptive and exploratory study of a qualitative and quantitative nature was carried out, whose corpus of analysis was formed through 'History of Concepts' and 'Bibliometry'. Regarding the analysis of the information collected, we opted for the 'Content Analysis' method, more specifically the 'Categorical Analysis' technique, since it provides interpretations and inferences related to the objectives proposed in the research. It was evidenced that the studies on information culture in the field of Information Science, especially interrelating it with information and knowledge under different approaches, brings new theoretical and methodological perspectives that, in turn, represent significant contributions by Information Science. Do ponto de vista metodológico, é uma pesquisa exploratória e descritiva, com abordagem qualitativa, que consistiu em revisão de literatura e pesquisa documental e em uma pesquisa de campo. Na parte empírica foram utilizados questionários online e entrevista estruturada, a fim de mapear e ter subsídios para analisar a cultura organizacional e informacional do Instituto Federal do Rio de Janeiro, tendo como foco os campi localizados no Município do Rio de Janeiro. O Instituto Federal do Rio de Janeiro é uma instituição de ensino público, que oferece cursos desde o ensino técnico até o doutorado. O estudo permitiu identificar os pontos fortes e fracos da cultura organizacional e informacional do Instituto. A partir da análise dos resultados foram feitas observações e sugestões para as Bibliotecas do IFRJ. / Consists of an analysis and reflection on the influence of organizational and informational culture and its impact on production and sharing of knowledge, in order to identify practices that libraries can implement to stimulate the production and sharing of information and knowledge. From a methodological point of view, is an exploratory and descriptive research with qualitative approach, which consisted of a literature review, documentary research and field research. In the empirical part online questionnaires and structured interviews were used to map and analyze the organizational and informational culture of the Federal Institute of Rio de Janeiro, focusing on the campuses located in the city of Rio de Janeiro. The Federal Institute of Rio de Janeiro is a public educational institution that offers courses from technical school to doctoral programs. The study identified the strengths and weaknesses of organizational and informational culture of the Institute. From the analysis of the results were made comments and suggestions for IFRJ Libraries.

Conseqüentemente, é uma indústria representativa para o Brasil, assim sendo necessita de informação e tecnologias de informação e comunicação (TICs), para trabalhar no ambiente competitivo, principalmente, em relação ao mercado externo e voltado à exportação. Esse setor demonstrou a necessidade da realização de um estudo que envolvesse temas como a inteligência competitiva organizacional (ICO) e a cultura informacional (CI), de forma a estabelecer a relação entre as pessoas, a informação e as tecnologias de informação e comunicação nesse contexto. Ressalta-se a relevância desta pesquisa, uma vez que poderá proporcionar um modelo concernente à CI das organizações pertencentes ao setor de calçados do estado de São Paulo. A partir da análise dos dados e informações coletados na realidade observada, foi possível propor um modelo de CI voltada ao processo de ICO. O objetivo principal desta pesquisa foi avaliar os processos e elementos constitutivos da cultura informacional essenciais ao processo de ICO em empresas do setor de calçados do estado de São Paulo. Pressupõe-se que exista uma relação, que deve ser investigada, entre os processos e elementos culturais orientadores das relações entre os indivíduos, informação e tecnologias de informação e comunicação enfatizando-se, principalmente, os processos de transferência de informação e conhecimento. Os procedimentos metodológicos foram ancorados na abordagem qualitativa, cujo método refere-se a pesquisa descritiva-exploratória, bem como ao método comparativo. / The footwear industry in the state of São paulo is one of the industries that more contribute to supply the footwear demand, both, in the country and abroad. Consequently, it is a representative industry for brazil, being so, it needs information and comunication and information technologies (ICTs), to work in the competitive environment mainly, regarding the foreign market and turning to exportation. This sector showed a need for achievement of a study that involves subjects such as the organizational competitive intelligence (OCI) and the information culture (IC), to establish the relation among people the information and the information and communication technologies in this context. The relevance os this research is relevanted, since it will be able to provide an IC concerning the model of the organizations that belong to the footwear industry in the state of São Paulo. From the analyses of data and information collected in the observed reality, it was possible to propose an IC model turned to the OCI process. The main objective of this culture, essential to the OCI process in companies of the footwear industry in the state of São Paulo. It’s presumed that there’s a relationship between the process and the cultural elements that must be investigated, focusing mainly in the information transfer and knowledge process. The methodological procedures were anchored in the qualitative approach, which approach refers to the descriptive-exploratory research, as well as to comparative approach. As data collecttion instrument were used: a questionnaire, with mixed questions, a script of the interview and an observation script. Aiming the qualitative analyses applied to the Bardin’s “Analyses Content”, in a way to attend the complexity in the approached subjects.

É relevante compreender como o indivíduo desenvolve certos comportamentos em relação à informação, o que implica em fazer uma análise desse ator organizacional sob um enfoque cognitivo, porquanto o comportamento informacional desencadeado por ele pode derivar de processos e representações presentes na mente do indivíduo. A presente pesquisa visou analisar, em uma empresa de fabricação de celulose, a relação entre o comportamento informacional dos indivíduos e as TICs, enfocando os aspectos cognitivos que desencadeiam tal comportamento, tais como os modelos mentais, com intuito de propor uma sistematização à gestão de comportamento informacional voltado às tecnologias de informação e comunicação aplicado aos ambientes empresariais. A pesquisa contou com um total de vinte participantes de distintos níveis organizacionais de uma empresa de fabricação de celulose localizada no interior do Estado de São Paulo. Os procedimentos metodológicos foram apoiados pelo método de Laurence Bardin, denominado ‘Análise de Conteúdo’, mais especificamente aplicando a técnica ‘Análise Categorial’. Foram elaborados e utilizados como instrumento de coleta de dados, o questionário estruturado e a entrevista semi-estruturada. To present research aimed at analyze, in a cellulose manufacturing company, the relation between the individuals informational behavior and the TICs, focusing cognitions aspects that triggered such behavior, as the mental models, with objective of to propose a systemization to the managment of informational behavior returned to the technologies of information and communication applied to the business environments. To research was supported by twenty participants of distinct organizational levels of a cellulose manufacturing company in the São Paulo State. The methodological procedures were supported by the Laurence Bardin method, called 'Content Analysis', more specifically applying the technical 'Categories Analysis'. Were elaborate and utilized as data collecting instrument, the structured questionnaire and the structured interview. Our general aim is to analyze the implications of the informational culture into this system, as a helper element to the new organizational structure implementation. Methodologically, this research has an exploratory-descriptive nature, and a quantitative and qualitative approach. The ways used were characterized like a documental and field research. As researching tools we adopted the inquiry form, with open and closed questions; the semi-structured interview and the strict observation. The data was systematized into tables and frames. For to do the data analysis was adopted the content analysis technique associated with the data triangulation strategy. The obtained results indicate that the informational culture, as acting into the Libraries System, doesn t contributes to the implementation of the new organizational structure, in view of informational meanders doesn t demonstrate to exist equities into the informational behavior between the strategic and tactical management when adopted on the system focused. Results allow conclude that the sector libraries managers and the libraries system manager need to face the challenge of build together in a systematic, structured and participative way a possible informational culture to concatenate within this structure the formal and informal ways of communication. Determinant is to provide the information exchange and sharing to contribute with the organizational development to leverage their informational resources. For that, the team needs to know the informational processes and to institute policies that give sufficient possibilities the information management. Besides it, each manager, as a organizational leader, needs to form an holistic perception of the organization to use in a adequate way the necessary communication channels to the creation of a strong and coherent informational culture, in agree with the information unit goals to serve at an academic environment. / O trabalho analisa a cultura informacional no processo de implementação da nova estrutura organizacional do Sistema de Bibliotecas da Universidade Federal da Paraíba, tendo como objetivo geral: analisar as implicações desta no Sistema de Bibliotecas da Universidade Federal da Paraíba, enquanto elemento facilitador para a implementação da nova estrutura organizacional. Metodologicamente, a pesquisa é de natureza exploratório-descritiva, de abordagem quantitativa e qualitativa. Quanto aos meios, caracteriza-se como pesquisa documental e de campo. Como instrumento de pesquisa foi adotado o questionário, com questões abertas e fechadas, a entrevista semi-estruturada e a observação direta. Os dados foram sistematizados em tabelas e quadros. Para a análise dos dados foi adotada a técnica de análise de conteúdo associada com a estratégia de triangulação dos dados. Os resultados obtidos indicam que a cultura informacional, atuante no Sistema de Bibliotecas, não contribui para a implementação da nova estrutura organizacional, tendo em vista que os meandros informacionais não demonstram haver equidades no comportamento informacional entre a gerência estratégica e tática adotadas no Sistema. Os resultados permitem concluir que os gestores das bibliotecas setoriais e a do Sistema necessitam encarar o desafio de juntos construírem de forma sistemática, estruturada e participativa uma cultura informacional possível de concatenar em sua estrutura os meios formais e informais de comunicação. A determinante é proporcionar a troca e o compartilhamento da informação para contribuir com o desenvolvimento organizacional, bem como potencializar os seus recursos informacionais. Para isso, a equipe necessita conhecer os processos informacionais e instituir políticas que possibilitem o gerenciamento da informação. Além disso, cada gestor, enquanto líder organizacional, precisa formar uma percepção holística da organização para utilizar de forma adequada os canais de comunicação necessários à criação de uma cultura informacional forte e coerente com os objetivos de uma unidade de informação no ambiente acadêmico.

It is relevant to study how individuals develop behavioral patterns and oriented attitudes toward information, which implies in doing an analysis from a cultural focus. This research discusses the style of information processes produced in a public university, and it has as general goal to analyze the style of information generated in the organizational environment of the Human Resources Department, in Federal University of Campina Grande (DHR UFCG), intending to define the formation of an informational culture. The methodological procedures were defined in quantitative and qualitative approaches, such as exploratory and descriptive research, characterized as a field study. The research universe comprehended a total of 39 members of the referred department. As instruments of data collection were used mixed questionnaire, semistructured interviews and a field diary to record observations. In the organization and analysis of quantitative data, it was adopted simple statistical techniques for tabulation of the percentage achieved with established averages to define the trends.The technique of content analysis was adopted for qualitative analysis in order to achieve the complexity of the object. Both techniques were associated with the triangulation strategy of data, systematized in tables and charts. The results indicate that in a greater and/or lesser degree, the styles of information are generated in the informational process of DRH UFCG. The nature of the styles revealed in the studied department contributes to the formation of an information culture, motivated by values, practices, attitudes, patterns, symbols, assumptions, rules, behaviors and rituals related to the information usage. Styles trends of information indicated the tendency in the current cultural typology in the researched environment, and highlighted the stage of information culture and its weaknesses, allowing subsequent management investments. In order for informational culture becomes increasingly appropriate and positive it is necessary to establish a better organization and operation of information and thus achieve strategic success in the department. / No entendimento que a informação perpassa por todos os meios processuais dos vários subsistemas de uma organização é possível direcionar estudos ao contexto organizacional, no que diz respeito a compreender e identificar as práticas de como os indivíduos trabalham a informação. Estudar a forma como os indivíduos desenvolvem padrões comportamentais e atitudes orientadas em relação à informação é mais do que relevante, o que implica fazer uma análise sob um enfoque cultural. A presente pesquisa discorre sobre o estilo do processo de informação gerado no ambiente de uma universidade pública, com o objetivo geral de analisar o estilo do processo de informação gerado no ambiente organizacional da Secretaria de Recursos Humanos da Universidade Federal de Campina Grande, com vistas à definição da formação de uma cultura informacional. Os procedimentos metodológicos foram definidos nas abordagens quantitativa e qualitativa, como pesquisa exploratório-descritiva, caracterizada como estudo de campo. O universo pesquisado abrangeu um total de 39 participantes integrantes da Secretaria. Como instrumentos de coleta de dados foram utilizados: questionário misto, entrevista semiestruturada e um diário de campo para registrar as observações. Na organização e análise dos dados quantitativos foram adotadas técnicas de estatísticas simples para tabulação do percentual atingido com atribuições de médias aritméticas para definição das tendências. A técnica de análise de conteúdo foi adotada para a análise qualitativa, de forma a atender a complexidade do tema abordado. As duas técnicas foram associadas com a estratégia de triangulação dos dados sistematizados em tabelas e quadros. Os resultados obtidos indicam que, em maior e/ou menor intensidade, os estilos de informação são gerados no processo informacional da SRH da UFCG. A configuração dos estilos, revelados no setor pesquisado, contribui à formação de uma cultura informacional, motivados por valores, práticas, atitudes, padrões, símbolos, pressupostos, regras, comportamentos e rituais em relação ao uso da informação. As tendências aos estilos de informação proporcionaram a inclinação para a tipologia cultural vigente no ambiente pesquisado ao sinalizar o estágio da cultura informacional e suas fragilidades, permitindo investimentos gerenciais posteriores. Para que a cultura informacional se torne, cada vez mais, adequada e positiva é necessário que se estabeleça uma melhor organização e operacionalização da informação, para assim alcançar êxito estratégico no setor.

Em 1945, outra associação foi fundada, a Associação Esportiva e Cultural Okinawa de Marília (AECOM). Essas duas associações trouxeram contribuições essenciais para a disseminação da cultura japonesa e para a construção da identidade dos imigrantes em Marília e região. Nesse âmbito, esta pesquisa objetiva analisar como se deu o desenvolvimento dessas associações, em relação à cultura informacional, à memória e à identidade japonesa, uma vez que não foram identificados estudos sobre essa contribuição para a referida comunidade e para os brasileiros que vivem em Marília. Portanto, estuda-se o papel dessas associações na construção da identidade e da cultura japonesa em Marília, a partir dos relatos e da memória de seus participantes e dos documentos que constituem seus acervos. A pesquisa contempla uma abordagem qualitativa, de natureza exploratória, usando como procedimentos metodológicos a pesquisa bibliográfica e História Oral, além do estudo dos documentos que fazem parte do acervo histórico do Nikkey Clube de Marília e da Associação Esportiva e Cultural Okinawa de Marília (AECOM), que constituem o universo de pesquisa deste trabalho. Como resultado, apresentamos as motivações identificadas durante a pesquisa para a criação e manutenção das referidas associações no que se refere a cultura informacional que se desenvolveu a partir do relacionamento de imigrantes, seus descendentes e a comunidade local. / The first Japanese arrived in Marilia in 1926, and already in 1930, was founded the first Japanese association in this city, the Nikkei club Marilia. In 1945, another association was founded, the Sports and Cultural Association Okinawa Marilia (AECOM). These two associations brought essential contributions to the spread of Japanese culture and the construction of identity of immigrants in Marilia and region. In this context, this research aims to analyze how has the development of these associations, in relation to the information culture, memory and the Japanese identity, since they were not identified studies on this contribution to that community and to Brazilians living in Marilia. Therefore, studying the role of these associations in the construction of identity and Japanese culture in Marilia, from the reports and the memory of its participants and the documents that make up their collections. The research includes a qualitative approach, exploratory, using as methodological procedures to literature and oral history and the study of the documents that are part of the historical collection of the Nikkei club Marilia and Sports Association and Cultural Okinawa Marilia (AECOM) which constitute the universe for this work. As a result, we present the motivations identified during the research for the creation and maintenance of the association regarding the information culture that developed from immigrants relationship, their descendants and the local community.
