Film formation of latex in dry coating films / Filmbildning av latex i torra bestrykningsfilmer

Nilsson, Kristian January 2007 (has links)

These investigations showed that this type of trials cannot be carried out in a DMTA directly since the stiffness seemed to increase monotonically during a very ling time. Analyse des propriétés physiques et mécaniques des nanocomposites polyamide 12 / cloisite® 30B en lien avec leurs nanostructures / Analysis of the physical and mechanical properties of nanocomposites polyamide 12 / Cloisite® 30B and their relations with structure

Aldroe, Hanaya 20 November 2014 (has links)
Nanocomposites are interestingly growing since their development in the 1990s by Toyota Company. Therefore, improving the properties of such materials is a major issue from fundamental and industrial point of view. This improvement can pass through a relevant choice of reinforcing loads added to the matrix particularly regarding the type, geometry, the proportion, and the treatment of these fillers. The processing parameters of the mixture play also a key role. The objective of this work is to contribute to the identification and understanding of the mechanisms at the origin of the reinforcing thermoplastic matrices by nanofillers. This aspect presented through the study of the thermal and mechanical properties of nanocomposites formed by a polyamide 12 matrix (PA12) filled with organically modified clay nanoparticles. More specifically, we analysed the effects of the filler mass fraction and environmental aging on structural, thermal and mechanical properties of these nanocomposites. The mixing conditions on these properties were also examined. A particular attention has been paid to the study of relationships between the macroscopic properties and the structure of nanocomposites. Viscoelastic properties of these materials in both melt and solid states were compared, which represents one of the originalities of this work.

Gualtieri, Carlos Eduardo 16 May 2002 (has links)
The datas and information transmission in the optical fiber have been increasing in the last years. In this way, the main purpose of this study is to establish an accelerated test method based on mechanical-dynamical-thermal analysis (DMTA), to predict the mechanical behavior of carbon fiber/epoxy resin composites. The DMTA technique was used on two modes: multi-frequency and creep. In the first case, three point bending tests on dynamical mode did not present a good fitting to built master curves, considering the experimental parameters used. Though, creep tests showed good results. In these tests, parameters used as temperature range from 25ºC to 235ºC and isothermals at every 15ºC for 100 minutes allowed to obtain compliance modulus versus time master curves with a good fitting. From the obtained results, it is possible to conclude that the proposed method presented good adhesion to the basic concept of material viscoelasticity, therefore can be used to predict mechanical behavior of composite materials.

Tremeac, Brice 16 December 2004 (has links) (PDF)

Écologie alimentaire et paléoenvironnements des cervidés européens du Pléistocène inférieur : le message des textures de micro-usure dentaire / Feeding ecology and paleoenvironments of ancient cervids from the early Pleistocene of Europe : the message of the dental microwear textures

Berlioz, Emilie 05 December 2017 (has links)
The early Pleistocene is a period of global cooling and climatic oscillations punctuated by glacial and interglacial cycles. This period of climatic instability leads to an alternation of steppe and forest habitats resulting in faunal renewals and dispersals, including Homo dispersal. In paleoenvironmental reconstructions based on faunal assemblages, deer, which are among the most abundant mammals, are traditionally considered forest dwellers. However, this paradigm is far from reflecting the real complexity of deer ecological diversity.Via the textural analysis of 921 representatives of the 5 extant European deer with known ecology, a solid reference database has been setup. It attests of the significative link existing between dental micro-wear and vegetal resources. The analysis of 547 fossils from 15 European localities underlines the ecological diversity among fossil deer. Eucladoceros ctenoides and Metacervoceros rhenanus are plastic in their diet. The analysis of such deer allows the identification of dietary adaptive answers to environmental modifications resulting from climatic oscillations. Being eurytopic, they constitute essential proxies for paleoenvironmental reconstructions. The results challenge the link existing between the occurrence of deer and the presence of forest habitats, as deer are ecologically more diversified. The textural analysis of deer from European human bearing localities aims at characterizing potential habitats favorable toward Homo dispersion in Eurasia.

Mechanical and Thermal Characterizations of Biobased Thermoset Resins from Soybean Oil Reinforced with Natural Fiber Using Vacuum Injection Moulding Technique

Ghoreishi, Rima, Ehsani Fatmehsari, Mehdi January 2010 (has links)
The aim of this research was to analyze the mechanical and thermal properties of composites andhybrid composites prepared with four types of jute fibers and two different resins; biobased thermosetresins acrylated epoxidized soybean oil (AESO) and mathacrylated anhydride modified soybean oil(MMSO). The processing technique used was vacuum injection molding (VIM). Tensile and, flexuraltestings and dynamic mechanical and thermal analysis (DMTA) were used to characterize thecomposites’ properties. The results showed that the AESO composites have better tensile and flexuralproperties. This may be due to the fact that the curing conditions were quite the same for both AESOand MMSO composites but MMSO composites showed different behavior during curing step. Theywere completely cured in a shorter time compared to AESO composites. Having equal curing time forboth resins’ composites can damage the structure of MMSO composites and hybrids. Tan delta peak forthe MMSO reinforced composites occurs at higher temperatures, compared to AESO reinforcedcomposites, which means better thermal properties for MMSO reinforced composites.
