近年來由於社會大環境的變遷,傳播媒體的演進,造成人們的購買習慣逐漸改變。以往仰賴的大眾傳播媒體,重要性將逐漸減退,取而代之的將是直接信函等個人傳播媒介,以及有線電視、網際網路等新興媒體。再加上消費者的需求逐漸個人化,因此,在這樣的趨勢之下,傳統的區隔市場將被細分成個人化市場,每個個人的重要性將更加明顯,企業也將面對更多的交易對象,導致企業必須蒐集顧客的各項資料,重新而全面的瞭解顧客,而企業的促銷決策,也將隨著對於顧客的瞭解而有所改變。
有鑑於此,本研究就針對最能夠個別接觸到顧客的直效行銷產業的業者,以探索性研究的方式,藉由國內外相關文獻的探討,以及國外施行資料庫行銷的成功個案,發展出研究的架構。接著與業者進行實地的深度訪談,以期發掘在直效行銷產業中顧客資料庫的階段性發展過程、不同階段的顧客資料庫內容與促銷決策間之關係、不同的業態對於促銷決策的影響、顧客資料庫的施行成效、以及顧客資料庫與促銷組合間的關係。
經由文獻探討、國外成功個案、以及國內個案公司的實際施行經驗,本研究發現在直效行銷產業裡,顧客資料庫內資料蒐集確實有階段性的發展過程,而此種發展過程將會隨著環境與企業的經營策略不同而改變。在業態的影響方面,不同的業態將會導致資料的內容與蒐集方式不同,資料更新能力也會不一樣,此外,促銷決策、促銷組合與促銷成本也會不一樣。而顧客資料庫的階段性發展,將會導致促銷決策有階段性的改變,而此種促銷方式,對於顧客的影響也是逐漸加深。在顧客資料庫的施行效益方面,會隨著顧客資料庫的發展階段與資料筆數而不同。
目前在國內以顧客資料庫為主要經營重心的產業越來越多,因此在其他產業運用顧客資料庫時,將可以利用本研究的發現為基礎,並且加以深入應用,將資料庫的構建過程規格化,以及對於企業的影響詳加瞭解,以便更能發揮資料庫的功能。

智慧型資料庫的研究重點,在於發展一個能結合專家系統的知識表達、推論及問題解決能力與資料庫的大量資料儲存管理能力的資訊系統。目前有四種主要類型的結合方式:(1)增強式的資料庫系統、(2)增強式的專家系統、(3)獨立專家系統與資料庫的鬆散結合、(4)專家資料庫。
由於目前企業中已有許多資料庫系統在運作之中,上述的結合方式以獨立專家系統與資料庫的鬆散結合方式較為合適,其它三類則因需要對現有系統配合新的架構加以修改,在成本效益上較不經濟。
因此,本論文針對獨立專家系統與資料庫的鬆散結合架構進行研究。首先從文獻中瞭解其它相關研究對結合所提出架構的優缺之處,而從資料庫的獨立性、專家系統的獨立性、系統的複雜度、系統的擴充性等四點考慮,提出一個較為獨立、有效率,且建立容易的系統架構。並以財務診斷此一特定應用領域,成功地發展出一套結合財務診斷專家系統與會計資料庫系統的雛形系統,驗證了本架構的可行性。最後並提出進一步的研究建議,以供後續研究參考。 / The reserach objective of the integration, of expert systems and database systems is to develope an information system which can integrate both the capabilities of ex-pert systems (inferencing and problem solving) and capabilities of databases (storing and managing of huge amount of data). There are four ways to integrate them: (1) enhanced databases, (2) enhanced expert systems; (3) loose coupling of independent expert systems and databases, (4) expert database systems.
Since there are many existing database systems, the loose coupling of independent expert system, and database is considered to be the most appropriate approach. The other three ways are not cost/benefit feasible because they need major modification of the curresn systems.
The focus of this reserach is on loose coupling of independent expert system and database. The strengthes and weaknesses of the relevent researchs are discov-ered through literature review. There are four major considerations in developing the architecture: database independency, expert system independency, system, complexity, system, extendibility. The proposed architecture is more independent, efficient, and easy to be bulit. This research has also built a prototype system coupling a financial diagnosis expert system, with an accounting database. The feasibility of the prototype has verified the usefulness of the proposed architecture. Future reasearch suggestions are also stated.

近年來由於消費者行為以及行銷環境的改變,行銷人員開始試圖從傳統的行銷手法中尋求突破,以獲取企業在行銷上的競爭優勢。藉由資訊及電子通訊科技之助,資料庫行銷可以創造新的行銷機會,並提高行銷績效。在國內,則由外商公司率先引進資料庫行銷技術,而許多企業也逐漸意識到顧客資料的重要性,因此如何建立一套有效的顧客資料庫並將其應用在行銷方面,便成為有心從事資料庫行銷者普遍關切的問題。
本研究屬於探索性的研究,藉由對國內外相關文獻的探討,發掘企業在從事資料庫行銷時必須掌握的關鍵因素,並進一步對國內企業進行實證研究,以了解企業之資訊系統、組織特質、行銷組合與資料庫行銷之間的互動關係。
經由文獻探討以及對實際個案公司經驗的研究分析,本研究發現企業本身資訊化及系統整合的程度會影響資料庫行銷的成效;企業各分公司之間經驗的轉移可以增進行銷人員的資料庫行銷技術,並提高成功的機率。高階主管對資料庫計劃的支持與承諾及行銷組織結構的配合均是成功的關鍵因素。此外,企業本身之產品或服務的特性以及行銷通路均須與資料庫行銷相配合方能發揮其最大的成效,而資料庫行銷的應用也有助於公司產品的發展及通路的開發。
資料庫行銷在國內的發展尚未完全成熟,但是未來將會更為普及,一些較為高層次的應用如資料庫分析的統計模式技術以及資料庫行銷對整合性行銷溝通之影響均為未來相當值得研究之議題。

The thesis presents a system for content based image retrieval and mining. The research presents a design of a scalable solution for efficient retrieval of images from large image databases using image features such as color, shape and texture. A framework for automatic labeling of images and clustering of meta data in database based on the dominant shapes, textures and colors in the image is proposed. The thesis also presents a new image tagging methodology to annotate the dominant image features to the image as meta data.
The users of this system can input a query image and select similar image retrieval criteria by selecting a feature type from amongst color, texture or shape. The system retrieves images from the database that match the specified pattern and displays them by relevance. The user can enter a set of keywords or a combination of keywords that form the input text query. Images in the database that match the input text query are fetched and displayed. This ensures content based similar image search even for text based search. An efficient clustering algorithm is shown to improve the image retrieval by an order of magnitude.

Symmetric schemes for efficient range and error-tolerant search on encrypted dataChenette, Nathan Lee 05 July 2012 (has links)
Large-scale data management systems rely more and more on cloud storage, where the need for efficient search capabilities clashes with the need for data confidentiality. Encryption and efficient accessibility are naturally at odds, as for instance strong encryption necessitates that ciphertexts reveal nothing about underlying data. Searchable encryption is an active field in cryptography studying encryption schemes that provide varying levels of efficiency, functionality, and security, and efficient searchable encryption focuses on schemes enabling sub-linear (in the size of the database) search time. I present the first cryptographic study of efficient searchable symmetric encryption schemes supporting two types of search queries, range queries and error-tolerant queries. The natural solution to accommodate efficient range queries on ciphertexts is to use order-preserving encryption (OPE). I propose a security definition for OPE schemes, construct the first OPE scheme with provable security, and further analyze security by characterizing one-wayness of the scheme. Efficient error-tolerant queries are enabled by efficient fuzzy-searchable encryption (EFSE). For EFSE, I introduce relevant primitives, an optimal security definition and a (somewhat space-inefficient, but in a sense efficient as possible) scheme achieving it, and more efficient schemes that achieve a weaker, but practical, security notion. In all cases, I introduce new appropriate security definitions, construct novel schemes, and prove those schemes secure under standard assumptions. The goal of this line of research is to provide constructions and provable security analysis that should help practitioners decide whether OPE or FSE provides a suitable efficiency-security-functionality tradeoff for a given application.

Pragmatically motivated communicative action loop (CAL) is proposed for modeling business transactions and designing database transactions. Using parameters of the communicative action loops, activity model can be adapted to particular objective area. Selected parameters are utilizable in formation of database transactions that are oriented in modification of states of objects of activity. Performed database transactions are registered to query register in order to make a database rollback when business transactions are canceled. Database transactions are synchronized between two replicated databases.
