The aim of this diploma thesis is to evaluate the performance of the company BRA-VUR, a.s. using the START Model, based on the EFQM Excellence Model. The theoretical part of the thesis defines quality, performance, and company performance measurement methods. The content of the analytical section is to evaluate the current situation in the company using the START Model and selected financial analysis indicators. The results of this assessment are used in the final part of the work, which is to propose measures to improve the performance of the company and to shift forward on its way to excellence.

The thesis analyses a quality management process in a manufacturing company and offers suggestions and recommendations for improvement. This thesis should assist in more effective quality management process and help company to get a competitive advantage with using TQM method.

Diploma thesis deals with quality management system in a manufacturing plant and on the basis of an assessment of the current state aims to propose a better system of quality control process and contribute to the further development of this firm.

This master thesis is focused on performance evaluation of company AGRI CS a.s., namely the evaluation of financial and business performance using benchmarking. The theoretical part deals with some approaches and methods suitable for the company performance evaluation with an emphasis on benchmarking. The main part however is in-depth case study on business performances of selected company. The core part is financial performance benchmarking based on public data from financial annual accounts. For this purpose I use database Amadeus. I analyzed most of the performance indicators for an average of industry branch as well as for 14 most intense competitors. Final remarks of the thesis discuss the main findings and conclusions of the whole performance analysis. On top of that I present possible recommendations for the selected company in order to enhance or even eliminate identified weaknesses.

This Master's thesis deals management of excellence problems in the company ORKÁN plus, s.r.o., which offers accounting, tax consultancy and related counselling services. Based on the facts from critical analysis is there a solution suggested – management of excellence system based on the EFQM Excellence Model.

The first part of the thesis is focused on basic terms and theoretical introduction related to the tools for measuring and evaluating company performance. The next part contains an introduction of the company, a current state assessment and a practical application of theoretical findings. The final part of the thesis includes suggestions for performance and current situation improvement.

Das Ziel dieser Dissertation ist es, einen umfassenden Blick auf die Qualitätsmerkmale von Unternehmen zu werfen. Dabei werden zwei verschiedene Ansätze verfolgt, verglichen und verbunden, um diese "Unternehmensqualität" zu erfassen. Es handelt sich dabei einerseits um ein in der Praxis weit verbreitetes Unternehmens-entwicklungsmodell, das EFQM Modell 2010 und andererseits um ein auf einer selbst durchgeführten Metaanalyse aufbauendes Modell. Diese Metaanalyse basiert dabei auf der wesentlichen wissenschaftlichen Literatur der letzten 10 Jahre im Bereich des allgemeinen beziehungsweise strategischen Managements. Dabei wurden insgesamt 249 Artikel analysiert und eingebracht. Aufbauend auf den Ergebnissen dieser Studie und dem EFQM Modell 2010 wurde eine quantitative Datenerhebung mit Hilfe eines Fragebogens durchgeführt (n=218). Die Ergebnisse dieser Erhebung zeigen, dass primär interne Faktoren die Performanceunterschiede zwischen Unternehmen erklären. Diese Aussage bezieht sich insbesondere auf komplexe Fähigkeiten wie organisationales Lernen, die Unternehmenskultur, die Flexibilität und die Ambidexterity des Unternehmens. Eine weitere Aussage dieser Arbeit ist, dass zwischen der wissenschaftlichen Literatur (den Ergebnissen der Metaanalyse) und dem EFQM Modell 2010 eine hohe inhaltliche Übereinstimmung besteht. Daraus lässt sich schließen, dass die Wissenschaft und die Praxis sehr ähnliche Ansichten betreffend den erforderlichen Qualitäten zur erfolgreichen Führung von Unternehmen vertreten.

This thesis considers “Quality in Higher Education” from different points of view. The aim isto achieve continuous quality improvement in Engineering School of Boras University as acase study. In order to improve quality, the quality criteria and definitions in higher educationare discussed. Different improvement methods that have been successfully used to improvequality in Educational systems such as PDCA (Deming wheel) and EFQM (EuropeanFoundation for Quality Management) are shortly presented. These methods are applied inBoras University Engineering School to find out the roots problems and main barriers toimprove quality, and there are some different solutions suggested to implement in order toachieve continuous quality improvement in this especial department. Although this case isfocused on Boras University, the writer believes that the same methods and assessments canbe used in any kind of educational organizations.

This diploma thesis deals with company performance assessment of MEDIN, a.s. Choosen company is analyzed according to multi-criterial model START PLUS. The final score of the company is done by this model, there are indentified company’s strenghts, areas for improvements and in conclusion of this work, there are suggested measures, which should lead to the company’s higher performance.

La gestion des connaissances, fortement facilitée par l'introduction des TIC, est perçue au niveau de l'organisation comme un moyen de gérer au mieux son capital intellectuel. La connaissance étant devenue à la fois un support et un facteur important du changement organisationnel, l'intérêt des TIC se situe dans la possibilité de générer une importante base de connaissances interactive et facilement accessible et exploitable par les utilisateurs. Dans cette thèse, nous proposons d'étudier l'adoption de la gestion des connaissances comme une nouvelle approche pour la gestion des organisations en Algérie. Nous orientons notre problématique vers la création de valeur organisationnelle, qui a pour conséquence l'amélioration de la performance. La spécificité de notre objet de recherche est abordée à travers une méthodologie qualitative. L'originalité de ce travail se trouve dans la prise en compte de deux niveaux d'analyse : le niveau global et le niveau des organisations. Pour étudier le niveau global, nous nous inscrivons dans une démarche de compréhension de l'application d'une stratégie de gestion des connaissances à un projet de gouvernance électronique en Algérie. Le niveau des organisations est étudié à travers une étude de cas multiple destinée à rechercher des régularités, des divergences et des convergences entre les éléments des différents cas étudiés. L'objectif de cette recherche, qui s'inscrit dans un cadre d'analyse multidimensionnel et reste essentiellement exploratoire, est de comprendre etd'expliquer les relations qualitatives qui régissent le phénomène que nous étudions.
