Ekologinis švietimas mokant suaugusiuosius Utenos rajone / Ecological Education of adults in Utena region

Ilčinskienė, Marija 17 June 2005 (has links)
Ecological Education of adults in Utena region Ancient people were inseparable from nature. They depended on environment and this dependence was reflected in their way of live, customs, creation and rituals. Civilized people don’t connect themselves with nature as much as their ancestors did. They don’t have a strong feeling of harmony with surrounding environment. However people today feel concern about endangned nature and devastated environment. And this is not only aesthetic problem, but necessity to preserve nature and man. That is why more and more attention is paid to ecology and ecological education. Ecological education is one of the fields of integrated education. It’s role is to help adults realize ecological problems, acquire cultural and social competence, be independent, active and responsible. The main good of ecological education is to form ecological consciousness, ethics world outlook, to develop responsibility for survival of nature. Ecological education is effective when work is organized gradually. Adults should acquire this education in one or another way all their lives, only then we can successfully form an ecologically educated personality.

Spolupráce škol s vnějšími partnery v rozvoji environmentální gramotnosti žáků / Cooperation of schools and external partners on the development of environmental awareness among students

Frýblová, Jitka January 2012 (has links)
This master thesis is concerned with current issues of educational politics, namely the integration of environmental aspects into the curriculums of grammar schools and high schools. Environmental education, and awareness raising has appeared in schools following the introduction of the framework education programme as one of its cross-curricular subjects, reflecting new social needs. While there lies a great potential for the development of our education system within cross-curricular subjects and framework education programmes, these also introduce new requirements for teachers, who are not always quite prepared for dealing with them. The introduction of external partners into education is one possible way of dealing with those requirements, as these external partners have many years of experience with ecology oriented education programmes and their methodical specifics. The presented master thesis familiarizes the reader with the individual forms of cooperation among schools and external partners and tries to generalize its pros and cons and outline the possibility of engaging external educational partners in teaching subjects other than environmental education. The paper deals with a multidisciplinary topic in which the findings of public policy, pedagogy, ethics and ecology intertwine. The...

To this end, we sought to develop a transdisciplinary research based on authors who work the land and human issues from now and ecological education as a transformation tool, such as Edgar Morin, Francisco Gutierrez, Humberto Maturana, Francisco Varela and Moacir Gadotti. The work begins with a preamble in which it demonstrates the emergence of life on the planet, to elucidates need to think the planet as a living and autonomous entity and the relationships within it as multiple and complex. From this understanding, the work is divided into three parts, the first focused on the definitions and concepts that are focused on the socio-ecological crisis sweeping the planet today, sustainability and environmental education within a global framework of complexity. The second part is located in the preparation of the analysis of Eco-pedagogical experiments conducted by the researcher in the year 2011, the Unified Educational Center (CEU) Pêra Marmelo, and finally, the third part of the study closes, bringing the final considerations and pointing the necessary paradigm shift for education that we believe is responsible for the change in attitude and way of seeing and acting in the world today / Compreendendo o Homem sob uma perspectiva transdisciplinar, o estudo tem como objetivo principal entender o papel da educação ecológica na formação humana, cidadã e, sobretudo, multíplice dos seres humanos, tornando-os capazes de pensar o mundo complexo de forma responsável e sustentável.

Building skills, building homes : community sustainability, straw bale construction, and indigenous perspectives

Vandale, Carol A. 29 November 2005
This narrative inquiry explores how the Building Skills, Building Homes Project, which was undertaken in Saskatchewan, Canada from April November 2003, exemplified a learning strategy for self-sustainable community development through the straw bale construction of two buildings. Being self-sustainable involves searching for an interconnected way of living with our environment. Finding a strategy that connects what is ecologically sound, such as straw bale construction, with current modes of living, is a complex process that necessitates new kinds of community education relationships. A retrospective analysis of the authors experience with the project and a conversational interview with one of the participants of the Building Skills, Building Homes Project will illustrate the adult learning that happens between learners working together on a joint project, which facilitates a growing awareness of what self-sustainable living entails. The research question framing this study is: What links can community educators make using the Building Skills, Building Homes Project as an example of ecological community sustainability?
