Ošetřovatelská péče o rány v Namibii, Irsku a České republice / Wound care in Namibia, Ireland and the Czech republic

FRANKOVÁ, Šárka January 2015 (has links)
Wound care is an important part of the daily work of nurses in all facilities like hospitals, institutes for long-term patients, social care institutions, or ambulances. In recent years, the treatment of wounds puts more and more emphasis on modern methods, mainly in the Czech Republic (CR) and Ireland. As already mentioned, nursing is constantly evolving, and possibilities for wound treatment are wide. Our aim will be to compare the ways and methods of wound treatment in three different countries. We will focus on the General Nurse, as a nursing care provider. In the theoretical part, the work was focused on characteristic of wounds, their distribution, general healing as well as concrete treatment in the countries concerned, specifically according to the competence of nurses. A major part was devoted to the education of nurses The main purpose of the research was focused on the way nurses treat wounds in Namibia, Ireland and the Czech Republic. Based on the research subject the following research questions and goals were set: Identify and describe how nurses treat wounds in the selected countries. How are wounds healed in Namibia, Ireland and the Czech Republic? How is the wound care in Namibia, Ireland and the Czech Republic? What kind of education does a nurse have to have in the countries concerned, in connection with the wound care? For the empirical part of the thesis, a qualitative approach was selected. A semi-structured interview with nurses from the selected countries was used. Further records of the wound treatment were used. These were obtained during the internship in Namibia, a personal visit to Ireland and my experience during my studies in the Czech Republic. Respondents were recruited by purposive sampling, the condition of which was wound care requiring hospital treatment. The interviews were conducted using a range of questions addressing nurses in those countries during their working hours and if needed, supplementing the required information via Skype. The research sample consisted of nine respondents - nurses from Namibia, Ireland and the Czech Republic and then records of the wound treatment of 9 patients from Namibia, the Czech Republic and Ireland were drawn. The countries have their competencies relating to this issue. In Ireland, Czech Republic there is a re-bandaging nurse, who creates a nursing plan and, if needed, consults everything with the physician. In Namibia, due to lack of nurses and physicians, only competences of local nurses which they acquired during their university studies, are sufficient. These competences lead to decisions and choice of care and wound treatment. In the Czech Republic, nurses shall consult the healing process and the course of treatment with the physician. In the area of education of nurses from the surveyed countries in connection with wound care the research investigation showed that university education is required in Namibia, in the Czech Republic as well as in Ireland. The third mentioned research question related to methods of care with clients suffering from acute or chronic wounds. Wound care in Namibia, Ireland, and in the Czech Republic does not differ in some specific procedures; however, in most cases it is very different. In severe cases of wounds, for many patients it is an unforgettable memory, which requires a professional approach, consisting of knowledge and experience. The nurse provides a unique support to the patient, education is therefore very important and unconditional in order to enable the patient coping with the situation. The results of this thesis can serve as information and study material to other grades of the surgical block and for further research on a similar topic.

Využití kompetencí sestry v oblasti preventivní péče u pacienta s ICHS / Use of Nurses' Competencies in Preventive Care of a Patient with Ischemic Heart Disease

MATSCHEOVÁ, Linda January 2010 (has links)
Ischemic heart disease belongs to the most frequent diseases in developed countries. I have chosen this topic not only because I am interested in this issue but also because I work at emergency ward of internal medicine and majority of patients there suffer from this disease. There are two parts in my thesis {--} the theoretical and the research part. The theoretical part deals with heart anatomy and physiology, with epidemiology and aetiology, with risk factors, with classification, clinical picture, diagnostics, with treatment and prevention of ischemic heart disease. Further, the thesis survey educational process, roles, mission, function and competences of a nurse. The first objective of the thesis was to find out the awareness of nurses´ competences in the area of secondary preventive care in patients with ischemic heart disease. The second objective was to find out, whether nurses are able to apply their competences in the area of secondary preventive care in patients with ischemic heart disease. The third objective was to find out involvement of management (head nurses, departmental nurses, shift nurses) in the secondary preventive care in patients with ischemic heart disease. The fourth objective of the thesis was to find out whether nurses use their knowledge of secondary prevention in patients with ischemic heart disease. Four hypotheses were set for the above mentioned objectives. H1: Nurses are aware of their competences in the area of secondary preventive care in patients with IHD. H2: Nurses are able to apply their competences in the area of secondary preventive care in patients with IHD. H3: Shift nurses, motivated by head nurses, are more involved in the secondary prevention in patients with IHD. H4: Nurses use their knowledge in the area of secondary prevention in patients with IHD. A questionnaire was made up to achieve the objectives and to prove or to disprove the hypotheses of this research. The questionnaire contained 24 questions {--} closed and semi-closed. The research sample was formed from nurses from South Bohemian and central-Bohemian regions. 377 questionnaires were handed out. 242 questionnaires returned and 230 of them were applicable to the research. The first, second and fourth hypotheses were proved. Shift nurses are more involved in secondary prevention in patients with IHD, however, not on the basis of motivation by head nurses, thus, the fourth hypothesis was not proved. I also revealed that nurses do not have sufficient knowledge in the area of secondary preventive care in patients with IHD. On the grounds of these results we created mental maps on ischemic heart disease and its prevention. These maps might enhance nurses´ knowledge and improve the life of patients with ischemic heart disease.

La didattica 2.0 e le competenze dell'insegnante. Verso un modello.

SININI, GLORIA 05 March 2012 (has links)
The digital society and the increasing of informal learning spaces require teachers to become digitally competent. The latest digital trends identified with 2.0 web, create new educational challenges in school. This study, developed in collaboration with CREMIT (Catholic University in Milan), aims to develop a digital model competence that could pave the way for teachers training. The model is going to be built from a bibliographic recognition about the competence concept developed by Guy Le Boterf. This theoretical frame has oriented an ethnographic research on field consisted in deep interviews and participant observations of teachers using technology in class. The best teaching practices will be used to build a competence model giving the guidelines for using ICT in education and didactic.

Možnosti rehabilitace dětského tištěného časopisu v době digitálních médií / How can good quality children's magazines contribute to the healthy development of younger schoolchildren in the contemporary postmodern setting

JEŽKOVÁ, Blanka January 2017 (has links)
This MA dissertation is a creative project aimed at creating a model magazine for children of primary school age which would cultivate the child reader in a manner as complex as possible. The content of this magazine is founded on a previous theoretical analysis of children's needs and takes into account their socio-cultural specifics, that is, living together with digital technologies. Subsequently, in this work, I have aimed at finding responses for such formulated requirements in the form of current educational trends and, using these in practice, I am submitting a proposal of a specific product which reflects these phenomena.

Spelar bakgrunden någon roll? : Rektorers specialpedagogiska förhållningssätt, förväntningar på specialpedagogens uppdrag och framtidsvision utifrån rektorers utbildningsbakgrund

Engman, Ingela, Jonsson, Carolina January 2020 (has links)
Nyckelord: Rektors specialpedagogiska kompetens, rektorsutbildningen, skolans och rektors specialpedagogiska uppdrag, specialpedagogens uppdrag, specialpedagogiskt förhållningssätt / The purpose of this study is to investigate the expectations and approaches of principals education approaches and their expectations of the special education teacher's and how this correlates to their educational background. The hope is to be able to contribute to a common understanding between principals and the special education teachers in schools. The aim is to demonstrate that it is important for principals to be acquainted with all the aspects of the special education teacher's role. Finally, the hope is that special education will be included in future training for principals in Sweden, which can, in turn, develop uniform job descriptions for special education teachers.    The issues that form the basis of this investigation are:  1. What are the similarities and differences between principals with and without a special education background regarding their special education approach?   2. What are the similarities and differences between principals with and without a special education background when it comes to expectations of the special educator´s role?   3. What are the similarities and differences between principals with and without a special education background regarding their special education vision? The results, detail similarities and differences in the principals' special education approach and their expectations of the special education teacher's assignment, as well as the differences and similarities that exist in the principals' special education vision for the future based on their educational background.   One of the conclusions of the study shows that all principals perceive that the special education teacher's expertise is important for the principal, teachers and students, which means that the special education teacher is seen as a key person in the school's activities. Furthermore, the results show that the special educators should be included in the principals' vision for the future.    Keywords: Principals special education competence, principal education, special education assignments of the school and the principal, special education teacher's role, special education approach
