Deligne, Eddy 31 March 2014 (has links) (PDF)

Kresba začarované rodiny u dětí na 1. stupni ZŠ / An elf - struck family

FOŘTOVÁ, Martina January 2008 (has links)
The diploma work deals with the projective method of the psychological diagnostics of the family, the test of drawing of an elf-struck family. The theoretical part of the work describes the contemporary family in general, its degree of stability and propensity to crises and the resulting decay of the family. Finally, the attention is paid to the field of family diagnostics, particularly to drawing projective methods, especially to the test of drawing of an elf-struck family. The practical part analyses a set of 110 drawings of an elf-struck family, which were collected from children of the first and fifth classes of various primary schools. The aim of the work is to involve the most frequent tendencies in choices of enchantments and to find out possible symbolical connections with enchantments and relationships among the individual family members.

ELF-EAR, Teknik i Levande Rollspel / ELF-EAR, Information Technology in Live Action Role Play

Wittlock, Fredric, Hallqvist, Magnus, Mutafov, Paula January 2001 (has links)

Applications des approches topologiques ELF et QTAIM dans un contexte quasirelativiste à 2 composantes / Applications of the ELF and QTAIM topological analyses in a 2 components quasirelativistic context

Amaouch, Mohamed 13 December 2016 (has links)
This thesis deals with the aplication of topological approaches of the chemical bonding by means of analysing properties of density-based functions like Electron Localization Function (ELF) and the Quantum Theory of Atoms in Molecumes (QTAIM) to systems involving heavy elements such as 6p elements or actinides . It is divided into two main parts: (i) the evaluation of the spin-orbit coupling (SOC) effects on the electronic structure by means of combination of the QTAIM and ELF topological analyses in the field of quasirelativistic quantum calculations, and (ii) the rationalization of structural distorsions on molecules containing heavy atoms, and the role of the SOC on these distorsions. We were able to emphasize different situations for which SOC has strong, moderate or tiny influence on the chemical bonding, depending on the chemical environnement on which the heavy element is involved. In the second part of this thesis we tested our approach consisting of ELF/QTAIM interbasin repulsion energy analysis in connection with the molecular geometry of the system, in the spirit of the VSEPR and LCP models.

Design och simulering av homogena elektriska fält i vatten / Design and simulation of homogeneous electrical fields in water

Skarin, Victoria January 2020 (has links)
With time, boats have become more quiet, both acoustic and magnetic. Therefore, it is of great interest tomeasure the electric signature. The electric signature is a low-frequency (0-3 kHz) electric field generatedby a potential difference that appears due to the galvanic effect between the boat's hull and propeller. With assistance from specific under-water sensors, these signatures can be measured to detect andlocalize boats. Due to the individual geometry of the sensors, each sensor must be calibrated in its rightenvironment (water). To perform this, a known homogeneous electrostatic field must be used forreference. This master Master-degree project purpose is to modulate a water tank, which is supposed to beused as a calibration facility for the sensors and simulate the electrostatic field that will evolve. Thisproject presents the approach for how the model and simulation will be implemented in COMSOLMultiphysics® 5.5, which is based on the finite element method. A theoretically homogeneous electricfield is difficult to build in reality, hence this project main objective is to analyse the homogeneity forpractical electric fields in the water tank. Different electric fields were analysed depending how the metalplates were distributed. The main conclusion from the simulations is that the homogeneity on theelectrical field is good enough to use for calibration purposes. The plates shall to be symmetricallydeployed with respect to each other. A drawback is that the field strength decreases when parts of thefield diverts. This project also simulates how the under-water sensor itself affects the electrical field it issupposed to be calibrated in; the sensor introduces disturbances to the field. Finally, this report proposesseveral improvements as well as direction for further work.

Optimizing the LLVM ELF linker for a distributed compilation environment : Concurrent Linking with LLVM LLD / Optimering av LLVMs ELF-länkare vid användning av distribuerad kompilering

Wilkens, Alexander January 2020 (has links)
Modern build systems that build large software projects often utilize a distributed compiler, allowing the compilation of object files to be parallelized over multiple machines. These build systems are often not able to fully utilize all the resources available on all machines. As linking is not part of this distributed process, the unused resources could be used to perform linking instead, reducing the total build time. However, linking is often performed at the end of the build process, thus not being able to access the previously unused resources. In this thesis project, a linker that runs concurrently with the compilation process of the build system is designed, implemented, and evaluated . As the compilation process produces an object file, the linker performs a partial link using this file. The link is finalized at the end of the build, not unlike a traditional linker. The results show that the total build time is reduced when using the new linker in a build system utilizing a distributed compiler. In some cases, the time spent linking at the end of the build system is reduced over 50 percent when compared to the reference linker.

Noaksson, David January 2023 (has links)
Primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) is a rare chronic liver disease characterized by inflammation and fibrosis of the biliary ducts, resulting in cholestasis and eventually liver failure. No effective treatment is currently available and most patients ultimately require liver transplantation in order to survive. The underlying mechanisms of the disease is poorly understood but a range of hypotheses exist, many of which recognize and grapple with PSC's close relationship with inflammatory bowel disease. Most agree genetics is involved, predisposing for an imbalance in 1) bile acid metabolism, 2) immune response and/or 3) gut microbiota. This literature study aims to describe and elucidate recent progress in the field of pharmacotherapy, as it relates to PSC and our current understanding of the disease. Covered in this study is a total of seven randomized, controlled trials, published between 2015-2022, and available through the medical database/search engine PubMed. Endpoints of particular note are ALP and ELF. ALP, or alkaline phosphatase, is an enzyme found in the liver. Rising levels of ALP in the blood stream is indicative of liver damage. ELF, or Enhanced Liver Fibrosis, is a blood test measuring markers of fibrosis, useful in assessing and staging fibrosis in chronic liver disease. Drugs included in this literature study are aldafermin, cilofexor, fenofibrate, norUrsodeoxicholic acid, obeticholic acid, simtuzumab and vancomycin. With the exception of aldafermin and simtuzumab, all showed promise as ALP reducing agents, in general lowering levels with 15-40 percent. In the case of fenofibrate, a reduction of 65 percent was observed. Of the drugs measured against ELF, only aldafermin produced a statistically significant reduction in fibrosis markers. At the time being it is not entirely clear what to make of the results, due to uncertainties surrounding ALP as a prognostic marker. To what extent ALP predicts transplantation free survival is still a matter of debate. Although considerable efforts have been made to further our understanding of PSC, much is yet to be solved. With regards to pharmacotherapy, the field is experiencing somewhat of a renaissance, showcased by the dozen on-going randomized, controlled trials on a plethora of potential PSC substances. Thus, the search for an effective therapy against PSC goes on.

Equally non-native? : Investigating the attitudes of Swedish students towards Swedish and Arabic L2 English speakers

Liljegren, Alva January 2023 (has links)
The increasing use of English as a lingua franca has led to the emergence of many nonnative varieties, but research indicates that despite the efforts of disciplines such as World Englishes and ELF to elevate the status of these varieties, speakers of native varieties are still valued higher by listeners all over the world. However, few studies have attempted to compare non-native varieties to each other without the presence of a contrasting native variety. In Sweden, a country where English has a notably high status and prominence, a significant amount of the population has other native languages than Swedish, and as such, there is a range of non-native Englishes spoken in the country. Moreover, speakers of the biggest immigrant language in Sweden, Arabic, are often subjected to discrimination and stereotyping, which makes it relevant to investigate if biases against groups influence how the English spoken by the groups is perceived. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the attitudes of Swedish people towards Swedish and Arabic L2 English speakers. Using the verbal-guise technique, 59 upper secondary school students were recruited to respond to a questionnaire measuring their attitudes towards the two varieties. The findings indicate that there are significant differences: the Swedish speaker was rated as more intelligent, educated, confident and responsible than the Arabic speaker, while the Arabic speaker was rated as kinder and less aggressive than the Swedish speaker. While more research is needed, the findings indicate that subconscious biases against varieties exist, and it is suggested that these need to be taken into account in English-speaking contexts, particularly in ELT classrooms.

English Can Be Efficient within Swedish Business, Although Code Shifting Often Appears : A Study of English as a Lingua Franca in a Business Context at a Swedish Company

Verrone, Sandra January 2023 (has links)
This study aims to explore how the application of Business English as a Lingua Franca (BELF) is perceived among the employees at a chosen company, exploring to what extent BELF is used, and identifying opportunities and challenges of BELF. Using a qualitative research methodology conducted through semi-structured interviews, consisting of six participants, the study delves into the usage of BELF in a bigger Swedish company, how the employees experience it, and what factors matter for its outcome. The results show overwhelmingly positive experiences of BELF among respondents, primarily due to its necessity and appreciated utility in facilitating communication with customers and colleagues who do not share the same mother tongue, emphasizing the significant role of English in diverse business contexts. However, despite the generally positive outlook, challenges such as multilingual meetings, code shifting, misunderstandings in different contexts, and a restricted vocabulary, are identified.

Giedigkeit, Rainer 27 January 2008 (has links) (PDF)
