The main aim of this diploma thesis is to research a development of expenditures on state employment policy and factors of influence. Further it deals with the influence on these expenditures in the Czech Republic and Central Bohemian Region. These questions were answered with using of causal analysis, descriptive statistics, regression and correlation analysis and parametric tests. In the research there was found that the different factors influence the different groups of expenditures in vary ways. Strong dependence were found and relationships with almost no dependence too. An importance of these findings is useable in economic policy, its optimization and possibility of predictions of future development using the found dependences.

Arbeitsplätze durch Wachstum : anders geht es nicht / Employment needs growth : there is no other way!

Flassbeck, Heiner January 2005 (has links)
The author argues that growth determines employment and not the other way around. He opposes the widespread view among German economists that more employment generated by wage cuts or increased labour market flexibility will stimulate growth. <br>For him, this view relies on theoretical prejudices that have to be rejected in light of some recent, simple evidence. The fact that all cyclical rebounds during the 1990s have been cut short by restrictive monetary policy explains the inability of the German labour market to regain full employment.

Wachstum bleibt das Gebot der Stunde / The dictates of the moment remains growth

Straubhaar, Thomas January 2005 (has links)
The author agrees with Flassbeck that growth is important, particularly as a condition to solve existing structural problems of the labour market. Yet, in his opinion the central question is how to get higher growth rates. Straubhaar’s answer is different from Flassbeck’s: a ‘no’ to more public deficits, more regulations and more state activities; and, a ‘yes’ to more market, more flexibility, more mobility.

Konjunkturpolitik kann Strukturreformen nicht ersetzen / Cyclic policy cannot replace structural reforms

Kessing, Sebastian G., Konrad, Kai A. January 2005 (has links)
The authors agree with Flassbeck’s claim that growth generates employment. However, they do not agree with Flassbeck’s conviction that growth is to be increased by demand management. In their comment, they explain why deficit spending and expansionary monetary policy are inappropriate substitutes for a sound structural policy.

Czech labour market for foreigners and the situation of Vietnamese employees

Nguyen, Anh Dung January 2011 (has links)
Most of the European countries are now facing the common challenge from aging population. This affects the labour market and consecutively the economic engine. As a matter of course the Czech Republic has to welcome workers from outside sources to supplement its labour shortage. I've found that the majority of the migrant workers going to the Czech Republic are low skill ones and they concentrate in the lower tier of the labour market. The efforts of the Government to attract high skill workers have not been much successful in bringing more qualified foreigners to the country. The Vietnamese is the third largest migrant community in the Czech Republic with 60.301 registered people. For those who came here in the 70s and 80s, they have been legally and pretty successfully residing in the society. But for the new workers who were sent to work in Czech factories since 2006, the global crisis turned their lives into hardship. They lost jobs but they couldn't or didn't want to go home. They must hold on in this land with a hope to change their lives.
