The Swedish membership in the European Union has led to a closer connection to all other member nations. Big opportunities have arisen for Swedish organizations since the boarders have opened up and one large internal market has emerged. However, this dynamic environment is more demanding and put higher pressure on the organizations flexibility and ability to adapt to common laws and requirements. The winning organizations in this globalizations are the once which organizational structure are built in a way to handle the constant changes in the market and are capable to adapt to the ongoing changing needs and requirements. From the problem formulation of the study, How has the work been carried out at swedish listed organizations in order to adopt to the EU requirements for the members to set up their accounting according to the international accounting principles?, the purpose is to from a organizational perspective and with Swedish empirical studies, try and contribute to increased insights in the subject of forced changes and generate theories focusing on Swedish organizations. A sub purpose is to discuss and reflect on the differences between forced and voluntary changes. A qualitative method has been used, and representatives from eight different listed companies, active in different line of businesses have participated. The results show that the implementation process has been smoother than first expected. Furthermore, the research shows that companies do not make a distinction between forced or voluntary changes. In addition to this we present a model that identifies areas that organizations ought to focus on in order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their change process and the reason we argue that organizations should set up the change process differently depending on the type of change they are facing.

This study analyzes classroom discourse from the point of view of Discourse Analysis, as formulated by Pêcheux (1983; 1997; 2002) and Orlandi (1993; 1998; 1999), considering primarily the notions of identity, social position and subjectivation. Since there are other analogous issues in play here, such as social imaginary, interdiscourse and ideology, the work of other analysts will also be considered. The analysis comprises excerpts from audio and video recordings of two teachers of Portuguese, from the north of Brazil (Araguaína, Tocantins) and from official documents, prepared by a group of researchers from different parts of the country. Such documents (GESTAR, PCN, RTTO) provide national guidelines for teachers of Portuguese. The main goal of this work is to compare the teacher's image that emerges from the documents with the image that the researcher (Pq) captures of the two participants (P1, three years of experience, and P2, seven), by comparing the official guidelines with the way they conduct their reading and writing classes. The results show that, in the classroom context, there are two kinds of subjectivation: passive and reflexive, which have, respectively, a negative and a positive connotation / Doutorado / Lingua Materna / Doutor em Linguística Aplicada

The Integrated Development Plan as a strategy to employer informal traders: the case of ThohoyandouSelepe, Modupi 18 May 2017 (has links)
MAdmin / Department of Public and Development Administration / This study focused on The Integrated Development Plan as a strategy to empower informal
traders using Thohoyandou as the case study. The study was conducted at Thulamela
Municipality and at the informal markets of Thohoyandou. The researcher used two population
groups; the municipal officials and the informal traders. The researcher made use of both
qualitative and quantitative methods as the study was explorative in nature; 50 informal traders
were sampled and took part in the study and on the other hand, 20 municipal officials were
sampled and participated in the study. The researcher made use a pilot survey to two groups
of population to test the efficacy of the interviews schedule as well the questionnaires as data
collection instruments. SPSS and Microsoft excel were used as tools for data analysis.
The results show that Thulamela Municipality’s IDP strategy is not doing enough for the
informal markets in Thohoyandou. However, respondents indicated that shortcomings such as
Limited Budget affect the success of IDP on informal trading. Initiatives such as the provision
of loans, workshops, training and promotion of LED programmes were indicated as having
been put in place in an effort to empower informal traders, although a number of informal
traders in the Thohoyandou area are forever increasing, through urbanisation and migration
which pose serious control challenges to the municipality.
To manage informal trading in Thohoyandou, the researcher recommended that there could
be: preferences on trading fee/levies; provision of services and infrastructures to informal
traders; enhancing public participation; limiting overtrading, integrated management planning,
policy formulations and that future researchers can be more specific on aspects such as:
situation of foreign traders; constitutionality of by-laws and trading at intersections.
