Řešení správy dokumentů ve firmě E-solutions, s.r.o. / Řešení správy dokumentů ve firmě E-solutions, s.r.o.Švanda, Jan January 2008 (has links)
Presented thesis is focused to the document management system in the firm E-solutions, Ld. Selection of this firm is purposeful, because I have been working in the firm for several years. My thesis is targeted to the complex analysis of document management system (DMS) in the firm and the results of the analysis will be used for the implementation of new DMS. The target is accomplished by following steps, which can be expressed as partial concrete goals: First, the present situation of DMS in the firm is described, next, the detail description of the documents, the system should work with, is presented. Description of these documents is structured to the DMS needs. Subsequently firm processes which should DMS support are identified and analysed. These processes are converted to the optimal conditions to maximize their effectiveness in the DMS support. Integral part of the analysis is the consistent collection of the requirements to the new system. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes DMS generally, explains basic principles of DMS (characteristics, documentation and functionality) and creates base line for the practical part. The more comprehensive practical part of the thesis is directed to the document management in the firm E-solutions, Ld. Presentation of the basic information about the firm is followed by detail solution of partial goals. Assessment of the achieved results creates the final part of the work. The thesis will serve in the firm or at a contactor of DMS as the base for the selection, parameterisation and implementation of the concrete DMS solution.

Framgångsfaktorer vid implementering av Enterprise Content Management / Success factors when implementing Enterprise Content ManagementPettersson, Emelie January 2016 (has links)
Enterprise Content Management (ECM) is a relatively new research area, which still lacks research (Alalwan & Weistroffer, 2012). There is an expressed need to know how ECM systems can be implemented effectively in organisations, and this has formulated the research question: “Which success factors can be found when implementing Enterprise Content Management (ECM) systems?”. By analysing previously published literature, to identify and compile the success factors that can be found in connection with implementation of ECM systems within organisations, a qualitative research method is used. In the analysis section two tables of identified success factors are presented. These have been divided in two categories, organizational and technological success factors, which can result in a successful implementation of an ECM system. Lastly, a discussion reflects upon the findings, on the implications this study brings into light and where future research is still needed.

Previous issue date: 2008-09-24 / This work involves the organization and content perspectives on Enterprise Content Management (ECM) framework. The case study at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte was based on ECM model to analyse the information management provided by the three main administrative systems: The Integrated Management of Academic Activities (SIGAA), Integrated System of Inheritance, and Contracts Administration (SIPAC) and the Integrated System for Administration and Human Resources (SIGRH). A case study protocol was designed to provide greater reliability to research process. Four propositions were examined in order to reach the specific objectives of identification and evaluation of ECM components from UFRN perspective. The preliminary phase provided the guidelines for the data collection. In total, 75 individuals were interviewed. Interviews with four managers directly involved on systems design were recorded (average duration of 90 minutes). The 70 remaining individuals were approached in random way in UFRN s units, including teachers, administrative-technical employees and students. The results showed the presence of many ECM elements in the management of UFRN administrative information. The technological component with higher presence was "management of web content / collaboration". But initiatives of other components (e.g. email and document management) were found and are in continuous improvement. The assessment made use of eQual 4.0 to examine the effectiveness of applications under three factors: usability, quality of information and offered service. In general, the quality offered by the systems was very good and walk side by side with the obtained benefits of ECM strategy adoption in the context of the whole institution / Esse trabalho envolve a perspectiva de organiza??o e conte?do do modelo Enterprise Content Management (ECM).

THE STRATEGIC ASSOCIATION BETWEEN ENTERPRISE CONTENT MANAGEMENT AND DECISION SUPPORTAlalwan, Jaffar 03 April 2012 (has links)
To deal with the increasing information overload and with the structured and unstructured data complexity, many organizations have implemented enterprise content management (ECM) systems. Published research on ECM so far is very limited and reports on ECM implementations have been scarce until recently (Tyrväinen et al. 2006). However, the little available ECM literature shows that many organizations using ECM focus on operational benefits while strategic decision-making benefits are rarely considered. Moreover, the strategic capabilities such as decision making capabilities of ECM are not fully investigated in the current literature. In addition, the literature lacks a strategic management framework (SMF) that links strategies, business objectives, and performance management although there are several published studies that discuss ECM strategy. A strategic management framework would seem essential to effectively manage ECM strategy formulation, implementation, and performance evaluation (Kaplan and Norton 1996; Ittner and Larcker 1997). The absence of an appropriate strategic management framework keeps organizations from effective strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation, which affects the organizational capabilities overall. Therefore, the objective of this dissertation is to determine the decision support capabilities of ECM, and specify how ECM strategies can be formulated, implemented, and evaluated in order to fully utilize the ECM strategic capabilities. Structural equation modeling as well as design science approaches will be adopted to achieve the dissertation objectives.

Příprava implementace systému řízení dokumentů a záznamů v organizaci veřejného sektoru / Preparation for the implementation of documents and records management in the public sector organizationObr, Pavel January 2009 (has links)
This master's thesis deals with documents and records management using the computer information systems in the Enterprise Content Management. The thesis explains basic terms relating to the implementation of information systems and incorporates such systems into the structure of enterprises information systems. Further it describes all main features of currently used systems for the Enterprise Content Management and it explains the fundamental legislative aspects of operation of such information systems. The second part of this thesis practically prepares the implementation of the Enterprise Content Management System in a specific organization of the public sector. The preparation of the implementation is performed from the initial analysis of processes in the organization to the definition of requirements on a specific information system. The knowledge of benefits from the use of an information system in an organization is the precondition of an effective use of such an information system in documents and records management and that is why this thesis proposes a method for measuring of benefits arising from the use of document and records management system in the organization.

The Interface Between Enterprise Content Management and Records Management in Changing OrganizationsSvärd, Proscovia January 2011 (has links)
The increased demand from citizens for efficient service delivery from public sector organizations has implications for the information that underpins those services. Robust and effective information management is required. Information is looked upon as a resource that can give organizations a competitive edge if it is well leveraged. To address the need for more services and for more efficient service delivery, the Swedish government has promoted e-government initiatives and the two municipalities that are the subjects of this research have responded by engaging in e-service development and provision. e-Government has at its core the use of information and communication technology (ICT). The municipalities have embarked on the analysis and automation of their business processes and hence the use of information systems. Web-based technologies have created a two-way communication flow which has generated complex information for the municipalities to address. This development calls for stronger information and records management regimes. Enterprise Content Management is a new information management construct proposed to help organizations to deal with all their information resources. It promotes enterprise-wide information management. There is, however, little knowledge and understanding of ECM in the Swedish public sector. Further, how e-government developments have affected the management of information is an issue that has not been explored. Traditionally Swedish public authorities have employed records management to address the challenges of managing information. Records management has been used for the effective and systematic capture of records and the maintenance of their reliability and authenticity. While information helps with the daily running of business activities, records carry the evidentiary value of the interactions between the citizens and the municipalities. This research critically examines the interface between Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and records management as information/records management approaches. This has meant examining what the similarities and the differences between the two approaches are. The research instrumentally used the lens of the Records Continuum Model (RCM), which promotes the management of the entire records’ continuum, a proactive approach, combines the management of archives and records and supports the pluralisation of the captured records. The research further highlights the information management challenges that the municipalities are facing as they engage in e-government developments.
