Lukas und die Witwen. Eine Botschaft an die Gemeinden in der hellenistisch-römischen Gesellschaft / Luke and the widows. A message to the communities in hellenistic-roman society

Leineweber, Matthias January 2009 (has links) (PDF)
The thesis is treating the question of the widows in the double opus of Luke on the background of the social situation of the widows in the Hellenistic-Roman society of antiquity. After a review about the status of research the author analysis the historic situation of the widows in antiquity. Then he analysis the single pericops in the Gospel (Lc 2,36-38; 4,25f; 7,11-17; 18,1-8; 20,45-47; 21,1-4) and the Acts (6,1-7; 9,36-43), first the single pericops and then in a narrative review. Thereby the message of Luce to his communities on the background of the social situation every time is elaborated. At the end the complete message of Luce on the question of widows for his communities in the Hellenistic-Roman society is recapitulated. Nominating often the widows the new testament author Luke wants to indicate the need of this social group which frequently is living in a precarious situation and which doesn’t find particular attention in the social environment of the Hellenistic-Roman world, especially if these widows are poor. On the contrary the biblical tradition knows a special care for the widows. Luce wants to sensibilize his communities for this biblical-jewish tradition, also because in the christian environment it was noticed that this care and sensibility had not been introduced automatically (Acts 6,1-7). In this regard through the pericopes he guides the attention of the christians in his communities on the problems and chances of the live of the widows.

Evangelist Marketing of the CloverETL Software / Evangelist Marketing of the CloverETL Software

Štýs, Miroslav January 2011 (has links)
The Evangelist Marketing of the CloverETL Software diploma thesis aims at proposing a new marketing strategy for an ETL tool - CloverETL. Theoretical part comprises chapters two and three. In chapter two, the thesis attempts to cover the ETL term, which - as a separate component of the Business Intelligence architecture - is not given much space in literature. Chapter three introduces evangelist marketing, explains its origins and best practices. Practical part involves introducing the Javlin, a.s. company and its CloverETL software product. After assessing the current marketing strategy, proposal of a new strategy follows. The new strategy is built on evangelist marketing pillars. Finally, benefits of the new approach are discussed looking at stats and data - mostly Google Analytics outputs.

Evangelism by fire : eine kritische Untersuchung der Evangelisationsarbeit von Reinhard Bonnke in Afrika / Evangelism by fire : a critical examination of the evangelism of Reinhard Bonnke in Africa

Schott, Daniel 28 February 2007 (has links)
This dissertation analyses Reinhard Bonnke's evangelistic ministry in Africa, and examines to what extent his propagated "Evangelism by Fire" conforms with the New Testament ministry of evangelism. The results of an analysis of the New Testament ministry of evangelism, especially of the evangelistic ministry of Philip, provide the basis for a comparison with Bonnke's understanding and practice of the evangelistic ministry. A thorough analysis of Bonnke's publications, especially those referring to the theme of evangelism, allows a systematic insight into his understanding of the evangelistic ministry. In order to examine the conformity between Reinhard Bonnke's understanding and his practice of evangelism, expert interviews referring to his gospel crusade in Ile-Ife, Nigeria, in 2002 are analysed, and compared to his understanding of evangelism. Finally, the findings about Bonnke's understanding and practice of evangelism are related to the New Testament evangelistic ministry, and analysed synoptically. The research results of this study show that Bonnke's understanding of evangelism and his practice of evangelism, during the gospel crusade in Ile-Ife, Nigeria, conform with each other. Bonnke's propagated and applied "Evangelism by Fire" shows him to be an evangelist orientated to the New Testament. / Christian Spirituality, Church History & Missiology / (D.Th.(Missiology))

Der Evangelist ‒ Schlüssel zum Publikum : Die performative Kraft der Erzählinstanz in J. S. Bachs Johannes-Passion / The Evangelist – Key to the Audience : The Performative Power of the Narrative Instance in J. S. Bach’s St. John Passion

Gandler-Årman, Kerstin January 2020 (has links)
This degree thesis entails a thorough analysis of the Evangelist-character in the St. John Passion from J. S. Bach. With the help of an interdisciplinary and intermedial approach, the question to be investigated is: which meaning does he have as a narrative figure for the work in general and for the recipient in particular? How important his narrative consciousness is in view of an increasingly medialized and secularized audience should also be illuminated, as well as the power of his performativity - his potential as a theatrical character. The look at a current production, in this case the streamed version of the St. John Passion from Peter Sellars in collaboration with the Berlin Philharmonic from 2019 as well as the libretto of the Evangelist, enables the exploration of narrative style, communication strategy and way of acting of this exciting and complex narrator figure. The focus on the epic moment and the structural/dramaturgical meaning of the Evangelist is deliberately chosen, because I deem them relevant to the practical mediation and presentation of the Evangelist.

Sven-David Sandström's Matthäuspassion: Examining J.S. Bach's Influence and Sandström's Compositional Language, Use of Symbolism, and Religious and Spiritual Motivations

Jilek, Dwight 08 1900 (has links)
Beginning with his High Mass written in 1994, popular Swedish composer Sven-David Sandström modeled multiple compositions after famous canonical works using the same texts and/or instrumentation. Sandström wants to be compared to the greatest, specifically in how a twenty-first century composer responds to a text set , in the case of J.S. Bach's , over 250 years ago. His setting of Matthäuspassion (MP), which uses the same libretto as J.S. Bach, is his most extensive non-operatic work, one he considers his most significant, and likely his last work based on a preexisting model. This study 1) examines the influence of J.S. Bach's MP on Sandström's setting in the use of characters and chorales, 2) illustrates Sandström's compositional language in MP based on recent studies on his choral music, 3) describes his use of musical symbolism, and 4) discusses his religious and spiritual motivations behind the work, as well as his preferred uses in performance.
