Hur motiverar man evenemangsvolontärer att återkomma? / How do we motivate event volunteers to return?

Eriksson, Louise, Hesselgren, Paulina January 2014 (has links)
Program: Event Management

Riskhantering i evenemangsprojekt : Wooops! / Risk management in event projects : Whooops!

Abrahamsson, Emilia, Persson, Ebba January 2014 (has links)
This study was aimed to find answers how the event industry is working with risk management and which secondary effects risk management generates. The study was also aimed to find answers whether the event managers think risk management is profitable. The reason we decided to study this subject is because the event industry is one of the largest growing markets. Event of different category attracts a lot of people and the risks increases when masses gather at the same spot. Theory and previous research shows that not every event project implements an appropriate risk management, even though risks are many and its consequences can be devastating. We have done qualitative interviews with persons working with event projects to get a perception of how they work and their opinion of risk management. We have concluded that the studied event firms are working with risk management in every event projects but generally event managers use different risk management techniques. The study revealed that all the studied event firms focus on security during event projects implementation, rather than risk affecting the projects planning phase. Secondary effects of risk management are many and a recurrent effect is the awareness among project staff. All the informants are convinced that risk management always is profitable.

Bartůněk, Tomáš January 2018 (has links)
Title: Suggestions for the organization of rugby competitions in the Czech Republic Objectives: The objective of the thesis is to create proposals for improving the system of organizing male rugby competitions in the Czech Republic. Methods: To obtain the necessary information about Czech rugby competitions, a quantitative, specifically an in-depth interview method was used. The Number of Winning Titles, Top Team Identification and Percentage of Points were used to determine the level of competition. Another method used in the work is the performance ranking, created on the basis of already existing rankings, partially modified. Results: The research has shown that adjusting the system for organizing rugby competitions in the Czech Republic is suitable. The proposed changes include, in particular, the introduction of open competitions and increasing the number of matches played during the season. Subsequently, some proposals were made to make the system of organizing rugby competitions more efficient in the Czech Republic. Keywords: rugby, sport competitions, sport event management, gaming systems

Sport events and representational capital : investigating industry collaboration in Rugby World Cup 2015 planning

Shephard, Emily Jessica January 2015 (has links)
This research study investigated intangible assets generated by sport event hosting, specifically in relation to those industries that could influence the planning and leveraging of this alternate value source at Rugby World Cup (RWC) 2015 host destinations. The industries under scrutiny were sport, public sector and tourism, and the sampled host destinations were Cardiff, Exeter, Brighton and Gloucester. The objectives of this thesis were threefold: (1) to respond to the lack of knowledge around the collaborative roles of sport, public sector and tourism organisations in sport event planning, (2) to pioneer representational capital, a concept that looks to examine the input of those pinpointed planners in the identification and valuation of intangible opportunities generated by hosting RWC 2015 fixtures, (3) to probe planning discourse for examples of leveraging representational capital. Expert opinions were captured from executive-level RWC 2015 planners, and supported by secondary data analysis. The findings showed that public sector and sport organisation planning representatives were key RWC 2015 planners and that tourism planners, at a destination level, were not key collaborators in central planning forums, but collaborated extensively with national and international tourism organisations on RWC 2015 planning matters. Additionally, the analysis uncovered that representational capital was predominantly made-up of three key intangible asset areas: destination image, exposure and reputation. Indeed, these intangible areas were recognised and valued by all three industries, but the data analysis indicated that the levels of collaboration between the sampled planning industries did not translate into collectively leveraging representational capital. Moreover, one of the main breakthroughs from this investigation was identifying the interconnected nature of a range of intangible assets in generating greater value, i.e. increasing representational capital available to planners. Representational capital was found to have a strong connection throughout the leveraging process, in terms of the maximisation strategy and planned outputs in RWC 2015 planning, further supporting the study project objective of investigating the intangible in relation to sport events.

Tvorba aplikace pro podporu destination event managementu / Implementation of an application supporting destination event management

Žáková, Andrea January 2017 (has links)
This master thesis is a follow-up to my bachelor thesis which deals with analysis and design of web application for a company Wedding in Prague Inc. Area of interest for this master thesis is a review of analysis and design of application and its implementation. The main aim of the thesis is to create an online wedding application for this company that organizes and plans weddings. The applications purpose is to provide an optimal informatics support for priority processes of the company. To achieve the aim, it was necessary to review analysis of the application including a review of requirements. And because of the scale of these requirements it was necessary to prioritize these requirements. After that I did a review of original design and then I implemented and tested priority functionality of the application. This topic was chosen because the company needed informatics support of existing processes and needed to provide its customers with wedding pages. These wedding pages will be used for wedding administration and providing wedding participants with information about oncoming wedding. Because no suitable application was found on market it was necessary to develop this application. Firstly, the thesis includes a definition of a destination event management and a description of companys processes. After that there is a review of requirements, use case diagrams and a design of user interface. The next chapter focuses on a review of an application design. This includes class diagram, component diagram and a database design. Chapter after that includes implementation of application using framework ASP.NET and it also includes testing cases for this application. The last chapter includes a user manual which describes the functionality of the applications. Contribution of this thesis is to implement and to test a web application which includes a priority functionality (60% of all functionality). This enables easy administration of all organized weddings. Also, it will help expand reputation of the company.

Logghantering med mjukvara

Schulze, Henrik, Brandberg, Fredrik January 2016 (has links)
Abstract By applying principles of conducting design science research, we have developed eight guide-lines for log management. By comparing with the literature on log management, we haveinvestigated the quality and relevance of the guidelines. We also investigated whether six of theeight guidelines are relevant in the sense that they can be supported by software.
