Návrh ojnice vznětového leteckého motoru / Connecting Rod Design of Diesel Aircraft Engine

Maršálek, Ondřej January 2011 (has links)
The thesis deals with complex connecting rod design of two stroke diesel engine with regard to minimising its weight. Three versions of design are suggested and for each of them the stress analyses are implemented and the fatigue safety factors are determined. On the basis of results of implemented analyses and evaluation of all the aspects the most appropriate design is chosen and the production drawing is drawn according to it. In the conclusion, hydrodynamic lubrication plain bearings, which are the integral part of every connecting rod, are designed.

Modernizace eskalátoru / Renovation of escalator

Kobzík, Martin January 2015 (has links)
This master's thesis covers the construction analysis of an escalator by the Otis a.s. company and the conception of its modernization called "In-truss".This type of modernization consists in preserving the supporting construction of the 506-type escalator into which the components of newer 506-NCE series are to be built in. Such operation requires modifying the construction and creating adaptors used to anchor the new components to it. These modifications lead to the stress testing of the construction, that is done by using the finite elements method in NX-Ideas software. The thesis contains the design of selected subsystems of the escalator, the stress testing of the new supporting construction and the creation of volume model in CREO-Parametric application for further use.

Mikromechanische Ultraschallwandler aus Silizium

Jia, Chenping 12 December 2005 (has links)
This paper discusses basic issues of micromachined ultrasonic transducers, including their design and fabrication. First, the acoustic fundamentals of ultrasonic transducers are introduced, and relevant simulation methods are illustrated. Following these topics, important aspects of silicon micromachining are presented. Based on this knowledge, two distinctive micromachining processes for transducer fabrication are proposed. One of them, the bulk process, has been proved to be successful, whereas for the second one, a surface process, some improvements are still needed. Besides these works, an innovative direct bonding technology is also developed. This technology constitutes the basis of the bulk process. Of course, it can also be used for the packaging of other MEMS devices.

Transmission loss of vehicle seals

Li, Qi January 2008 (has links)
Sound transmission loss of vehicle seals was studied in this thesis. Reverberation room test and semi-anechoic chamber test were respectively studied. By comparing the sound pressure level, sound intensity level and average sound power level at the receiving side, it proved that a simple sound pressure level test may obtain same measurement accuracy when there is little reflected sound. A semi-anechoic chamber was designed for testing sound transmission losses of the seals on a trial vehicle. By comparing the sound pressure levels between the location of the passenger ear and door area, it proved that most of outside sound energy passed through the door seals into the interior. The sound transmission losses of different sealing conditions were measured which included well sealed and imperfectly sealed conditions; Sound pressure levels at passenger’s ear in three different types of vehicles were also compared, these comparison results indicated this laboratory was capable of distinguishing different sealing conditions. The installation procedure was compared with the one in reverberation room test. Numerical analysis showed that the latter method produced a different compression shape which would definitely influence the sound insulation abilities of the seals.   The transmission mechanism of the acoustic waves through a vehicle seal was also discussed. Contact analysis showed high compression ratio leaded to tremendous inner stress intensity. But any further increase of the contact depth would not improve the effect of wind noise prevention. A vehicle seal with a complex shape was replaced by a simple model. The sound transmission theory of multiple partitions on the basis of mass law was applied. Whereas, compared with the experimental result, a different trend in the high frequency range was found. When taking the transmission though the side material and integration of incident angle into account, the result was quite similar to the experimental one. FEM analysis was also performed. The majority of sound power was believed to transmit along the seal wall into the interior instead of passing through the multiple partitions. A distorted circular duct model is believed to be close to the real geometry. / QC 20101117

Contribution à l'étude, la mise en oeuvre et à l'évaluation d'une solution de report de puce de puissance par procédé de frittage de pâte d'argent à haute pression et basse température / Contribution to the study, the processing and the evaluation of a power semiconductor device attachment solution : silver sintering technology at high pressure and low temperature

Le Henaff, François 29 January 2014 (has links)
This work is part of the research for lead-free die-attach solutions for power modules to offer a solution to the European directive RoHS, which banishes lead in electrical and electronic equipments. The intrinsic silver properties and the previous work published helped us choose silver sintering as the die-attach technology to be tested and evaluated in our work. After a state of the art on power module structure, on different die-attach technologies and on power module reliability, various works have been carried out in collaboration with the FIDEA and ASPEEC projects. Through experimental tests and finite element modeling analysis (FEM), die-attach processes have been defined, thermal and mechanical characterizations and reliability assessment of silver sintered power modules have been done. Finally, a silver sintered rectifier bridge double side assembly with higher thermomechanical properties than a lead-solder die-attach assembly was developed as final prototype.

Multi-scale simulation of crack propagation in the ductile-brittle transition region / Mehrskalensimulation der Rissausbreitung im spröd-duktilen Übergangsbereich

Hütter, Geralf 03 September 2013 (has links) (PDF)
In the present thesis the crack propagation in the ductile-brittle transition region is studied on two scales with deterministic models. In the macroscopic model the ductile failure is described by a non-local Gurson-model whereas the discrete void microstructure is resolved around the crack tip in the microscopic model. The failure by cleavage is not evaluated by means of a post-processing criterion but is modeled equivalently using a cohesive zone model on both scales. Thus, cleavage is not a priori identified with unstable crack propagation but the transition between stable and unstable mode of propagation is a result of the simulation. The problem of handling completely failed material within the framework of non-local damage models is pointed out. A method to overcome this problem is proposed and successfully applied. The case of contained plastic yielding at the crack tip is addressed with a modified-boundary layer model. The macroscopic simulations reproduce many features which are known from experiments like the formation of stretch zones, cleavage after initial ductile tearing, pop-ins with crack arrest, among others. The microscopic simulations substantiate the understanding of the macroscopically observed behavior. Systematic parameter studies are performed. Starting with considerations on the limit cases like pure ductile failure or the lower-ductile brittle transition region allows to separate the effects of the different constitutive parameters. Based on these results, a methodology is proposed to extract the macroscopic material parameters from experiments. This scheme is successfully applied to experimental data from literature. The results show that the behavior of a low-constraint specimen can be reliably predicted with the parameters extracted from a high-constraint specimen.
