Flexibilní formy práce v České republice a Švýcarsku / Flexible forms of work in the Czech Republic and Switzerland

The aim of the thesis is to study and compare flexible forms of work in the Czech Republic and Switzerland from 2005 to 2014. The theoretical part defines basic terms of the labor market, major transformations of the current labor market and labor legislation of the Czech Republic and Switzerland. Comparative and factorial analysis are used in the practical part to analyse basic indicators and flexible forms of work of in the Czech and Swiss labor market. The analysis is then set in the broader context of microeconomic and macroeconomic conditions and educational systems in the Czech Republic and Switzerland. The main differences between Swiss and Czech flexibility of the labor market and the typical worker employed under flexible employment in the Czech Republic and Switzerland are drawn from the performed analysis.

Master thesis is focused on the research and comparing the level of flexibility of labor markets in the Czech Republic and the Netherlands. Labor market flexibility is an important instrument of economic policy, which increases employment. The aim of this thesis is the analysis of flexible forms of work in the Czech Republic and the Netherlands and comparison of non-standard working contracts in these two countries. The first part contains the explanation of theoretical approaches to labor market flexibility. The second part is a comparative and factorial analysis of Czech and Dutch labor market. During the thesis labor standards in both countries are compared, on the basis of statistical data LFS (Labour Force Servey) is made an evaluation of the level of flexibility of the labor markets in both countries, the quality of flexible working arrangements and the reasons for their use. Recommendations for economic policy of the Czech Republic are proposed on the basis of the obtained results.

The goal of the master thesis is the research and comparison of the flexible forms of work in the Czech Republic and Norway in the 2004 - 2013. The theoretical part of the thesis is dedicated to the changes on the labour markets leading to higher unemployment and insecurities of the labour market. In the practical part are listed the forms of working contracts according to the labour law in the Czech Republic and Norway. The analysis of the Czech and Norwegian labour market has the focus on the flexible forms of work that are compared in terms of flexibility, security, usefulness, effectiveness, quality and the reason for using flexible forms of work. Using methods comparative and factorial analysis is the level of flexibility of the Norwegian labour market evaluated and compared with the level of flexibility of the Czech labour market. Due to the analysis of the micro- and macroeconomics conditions of the Czech Republic and Norway and an interview with Aline Bütikofer from the Norwegian School of Economics are identified the main reasons for the different degree of the flexibility of the labour market in the Czech Republic and Norway.

The modern globalized world is developing rapidly thanks to communication technologies. This trend brought about the need for new and atypical jobs and flexible forms of work. National legislations are responsible for allowing such flexibility. These new forms of work as well as atypical jobs make it possible to better reconcile personal and working life and lead to increased labour productivity, which is in the interest of both employees and employers. This is closely related to the concept of flexicurity, which represents the effort to strike balance between the flexibility of labour law relations and the protective function of labour law. This balance is the legislator's goal. However, said goal is challenging to achieve, given the opposite interests of employees and employers. This thesis is divided into four main chapters and subsequent subchapters. The introduction is focused on a general introduction to the topic and objectives of this proposal. The first chapter summarizes the concept of flexicurity and European and Czech efforts to achieve it. Then it proceeds to the description of its implementation in Denmark with advantages and disadvantages of the possible use of this model in the Czech Republic. Bakalauro baigiamajame darbe nagrinėjamos lanksčios darbo organizavimo formos bei jų taikymo galimybės. Tema analizuojama dviem aspektais: teoriniu ir praktiniu. Teorinėje dalyje aptarti pokyčiai darbo rinkoje, lanksčių darbo formų įvairovė, pateikti argumentai „už“ ir „prieš“ nestandartinių formų taikymą bei atlikta situacijos Lietuvoje analizė užimtumo aspektu. Praktinėje dalyje pateikiami trijų tikslinių grupių – dirbančių, nedirbančių bei studentų, tyrimo rezultatai. Nustatyta, kad nedirbantys asmenys sutiktų dirbti pagal lanksčias darbo organizavimo formas, o dirbantys nėra linkę keisti esamo darbo modelio. Studentai studijų metu pageidauja dirbti 4 valandas per dieną 5 dienas per savaitę. / Undergraduate thesis examined flexible forms of work organization and their application possibilities. Topic is analyzed in two aspects: theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part there are discussed changes in the labour market, flexible forms of employment diversity, the arguments for and against non-standard forms practise, and situation analysis of Lithuania. In the practical part there are proposed the examination results of three target groups - employed, unemployed and students. It was found that the unemployed are linked to accept work under flexible forms, and employed workers are reluctant to change the current working model. Analysed that students want to work 4 hours per day 5 days per week during the studies.

66 Abstract - Flexible forms of working hours This diploma thesis deals with the flexible forms of working hours and its goal is to describe this issue in intelligible and comprehensive way. It is being very interesting and current theme which is to a great extent not subject to direct legal regulations and provides its contracting parties with a big amount of freedom of contract. This fact assists in bigger flexibilization of labour market and represents a significant instrument in the fight against unemployment and economic crisis. This thesis is composed of six chapters. Chapter One introduces the term flexible forms of working hours and briefly describes the content of following chapters. Chapter Two delimits the area of labour law in relation to other branches of law and describes law principles relating to labour law. Magistro baigiamąjame darbe išanalizuotos ir įvertintos palankių šeimai politikos priemonių taikymo galimybės ir nauda Vilniaus m. savivaldybės įmonėse, iškeltos šeimos ir karjeros vaidmenų derinimo problemos bei pateikti siūlymai, kaip šias problemas spręsti. Pirmojoje dalyje teoriniu aspektu tiriama šeimos ir karjeros vaidmenų derinimo dilemos šiuolaikinėje visuomenėje, pateikiama šeimos samprata globalių pokyčių perspektyvoje bei karjeros samprata, taip pat apžvelgiama lygios galimybės siekti karjeros. Antroje dalyje nagrinėjami palankios šeimai politikos aspektai, pateikiama palankios šeimai politikos samprata, supažindinama su Lietuvos ir užsienio palankia šeimai įstatymine baze bei teoriniais palankios šeimai darbovietės aspektais. Reconciliation of family and career roles dilemmas in modern society are examined by theoretical aspects, the concept of change of a family in global perspective and the concept of career as well as an overview of equal opportunities to seek career is presented in the first part of the thesis The second part of the thesis deals with family friendly policy aspects; family friendly policies and introduction to Lithuanian and foreign family-friendly legal framework and family friendly theoretical workplace aspects are presented. The third section presents models of reconciliation of family and career roles, its advantages and disadvantages. The fourth part of the thesis deals with Vilnius city Municipal Enterprises employers and employees' attitudes to family-friendly policy measures and their application possibilities. The thesis is completed with conclusions and recommendations.
