This paper deals with the problem of optimization of a production plan by using genetic algorithms. It contains a brief overview of the principles behind genetic algorithms in scope of evolutionary algorithms and artificial intelligence in general. It also takes a closer look on the challenge of production planning and control and all activities connected to it. This is followed by description of the modification of genetic algorithms that needed to be done in order to implement it into a computer program, which is used to create and optimize the production plan, and is a result to the issue that this paper deals with. Incorporated is detailed escription of principles and functions of the program, that it offers to its users.

This master’s thesis describes life cycle phases management of the project Implementation of the project culture in the MoroSystems company from the perspective of a project manager. The thesis comprehensively describes the project from its inception, through planning, implementation up to handover of the outcomes to the customer, completion and evaluation. The thesis contains attachments which document meetings with the customer and project management artifacts created at different stages of the project.

The thesis deals with the application of the project management during the implementation of the ERP system Microsoft Dynamics AX in a selected company. First part of the thesis focuses on the theoretical knowledge of this area. Second part of the thesis is an analysis of the current state of the chosen company. The third main part responses to detected problems with the information system, based on previous analysis and using the methods of the project management.

The subject and main aim of my diploma thesis is an application of selected project management methodology (IPMA) for analysing, design and implementation ERP system Money S5 to the particular client. Project is created in environment of implementation projects designed by software company CÍGLER SOFTWARE a.s. located in Bratislava. This thesis could be used as a suggestion of appropriate steps for managing future implementing projects in mentioned company.

Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na různých metodik projektového řízení a jejich praktické využití při založení podniku v Dubaji, ve Spojených arabských emirátech. Vzhledem k různým právním normám na zahraničním trhu, jsou vysvětleny bariéry vstupu na trh. Návrh obsahuje definovaný seznam činností, analýzu času, analýzu a hodnocení rizik a rozpočet projektu.

В данной работе рассмотрен процесс разработки программного модуля для автоматизации задач планирования деятельности компании, а именно: построение диаграммы Ганта, расчет временных характеристик задач. Выполнен сравнительный анализ инструментов для разработки веб-приложений и платформ для сетевого планирования. Разработанный модуль рассчитывает даты раннего и позднего начала выполнения задачи, даты раннего и позднего окончания задачи, а также определяет резервы времени на ее выполнение, является кроссплатформенным и легко расширяемым. / In this paper, the process of developing a software module for automating the tasks of planning company's activities is considered, namely: building a Gantt chart, calculating time tasks characteristics. A comparative analysis of tools for the development of web applications and platforms for network planning is performed. The developed module calculates time parameters of the early and late start of a task, and time parameters of the early and late end of a task, and also determines the time reserves for its execution, the developed module is a cross-platform and also an easily extensible one.

<p>Detta examensarbete har utförts vid Ekonomiska institutionen på Linköpings tekniska högskola. Uppdragsgivare har varit Kongsberg Automotive AB och Saab Training Systems AB. Syftet med detta arbete har varit att undersöka om värdeflödesanalys inom produktutveckling kan hjälpa företag att effektivisera utvecklingen av produkter. Metoden för värdeflödesanalys som vi valt att prova har tagits fram av MIT. Arbetets syfte var att pröva denna metod, detta gjordes genom att utföra två studier. Modellen föreskriver att en kartläggning görs i tre steg: först genom ett ganttschema, därefter flödesschema och till sist en DSM. Datainsamlingen är gjord med hjälp av intervjuer och en enkät, enligt Millards rekommendation. Med hjälp av metoden och stöd av litteratur kartlades och analyserades flödet. Bland annat framkom följande åtgärdsförslag: Tydligare ansvarsområden och klara rutiner Utför FEM-beräkning mer parallellt med konstruktionsarbetet Tydligarepull event för att klargöra varje aktivitets syfte. Vi kan konstatera att resultaten av värdeflödesanalysen har tagits väl emot av företagen, både när det gäller kartläggning och åtgärdsförslag. Detta leder oss fram till vår slutsats att modellen har varit till hjälp för företagen och därmed får anses fungera.</p>

This research endeavor investigated the possibility to combine the visual advantages of both graphical schedule visualization methods, the Linked Gantt Charts (LGC) and Flowline graphs (FLG), derived from the activity-based and location-based scheduling systems, to help resolve some of their shortcomings by capitalizing on their combined strengths. In order to accomplish the goal of the research, a graphical representation system that combines these two scheduling visualization methods, LGC and FLG, is developed. Afterwards, the research attempted to empirically validate the ability of the proposed tool to visually communicate and combine logical and spatial relationships between scheduled activities. This is compared to comprehending the same information by looking at a stand-alone LGC or FLG. The accuracy and time, of deciphering various details of a sample project schedule, are used as parameters to evaluate the proposed scheduling visualization tool, and compare it to the existing LGC and FLG systems. The Hybrid Graphical Representation (HGR) is the tool developed by this research to combine Linked Gantt Chart bars from the activity-based scheduling approach, and flow-lines from the location-based scheduling approach. The HGR concept is founded on the basic idea that both LGC and FLG share a common X-axis, Time. The only difference is in a LGC the Activities are listed on the Y-axis, while the FLG shows Locations on the Y-axis. This research proposed adding a third dimension to the FLG, listing the project Activities on a Z-axis. Viewing the HGR 3D graph from the top, the user will observe the Gantt bars with Time on the X-axis and the Activities listed on the Z-axis. Observing the schedule from the front view, the user will see the flow-lines developed from the location-based scheduling approach with Locations on the Y-axis and Time on the X-axis. After conducting a series of online surveys measuring the time and accuracy of using a prototype HGR schedule, it was found that the users were able to reap the benefits of both scheduling approaches (LGC and FLG), and visually link and communicate information concerning the activities' logical relationships and spatial relationships. However, it took the participants a relatively longer time to achieve that higher accuracy utilizing the HGR tool.
