Exploring the Factors Influencing the Facilitation of Collaboration through Industry 4.0 in Reverse Logistics : An exploratory multiple case study

Hehanussa, Isidoor, van den Heuvel, Twan January 2023 (has links)
Background: Although reverse logistics becomes more important nowadays to reach organisation goals, organisations are still plagued by data uncertainty and low supply chain visibility. In an attempt to remove those barriers to reach an effective reverse logistics operation, organisations have started to integrate industry 4.0 technologies among themselves and their reverse logistics partners. However, the introduction of industry 4.0 influence collaboration among reverse logistics partners posing a threat to successful implementation of industry 4.0 and to solving current reverse logistics operational problems. Purpose: The primary aim of this study is to provide insights what factors influence the facilitation of collaboration between supply chain partners through adopting Industry 4.0 within reverse logistics. Additionally, this study's secondary aim is to provide insights in how the concepts of industry 4.0, collaboration and reverse logistics relate to each other. Method: This study is performed as qualitative inductive research with a relativist ontology and a constructionist epistemology. The research design consists of an explorative multiple case study in which data has been collected through semi-structured interviews which have been found through purposive sampling. The data analysis of this research has been performed with a thematic analysis. Conclusion: The results show that three distinct factors have emerged from this study. General perception (1) in which a negative feeling towards reverse logistics has been described. Relationship-based collaboration (2) that describes that trust is the single-most important factor in relationships. Collaborative network 4.0 (3) which displays four stages of technological adaptations in reverse logistics streams.

Analysing Perceptions of Six Cyberattacks / Analys av uppfattningar om sex olika cyber attacker

Lundén, Viktor January 2022 (has links)
The main topic of this degree project is the analysis of the general public’s perceptions on six different types of cyberattacks and their security measures taken against these cyberattacks. One of the goals of this degree project was to investigate if the perceptions of the cyberattacks were accurate and if lower educated people have different perceptions from higher educated people. While there may be plenty of research about cybersecurity and cyberattacks in general, there is little research in regards to the general public’s perceptions on different types of cyberattacks, especially regarding an international demographic. This degree project can help strengthen cybersecurity on different computer systems by analysing how people from an international demographic perceive these six different cyberattacks and how they counteract these cyberattacks. In order to collect data from international respondents, online surveys were used. Multiple websites were used to send the survey, with the main website being SurveySwap. The analysis contains comparisons between facts found in literature and perceptions of respondents and more. Two-sample t-tests and chi-squared tests were used to compare perceptions between lower educated people and higher educated people. According to the results, respondents in general seemed to have good understanding of some cyberattacks. However there were also some cyberattacks that the respondents in general did not have good understanding of. The results also indicated that there was probably no difference between perceptions from the lower educated respondents and higher educated respondents. The results of this degree project can be used in similar research to further investigate the perceptions among the general public of different cyberattacks.

Tanoyan, Murat, Coelho Pimenta, Leonard January 2020 (has links)
The purpose of this study has been to investigate how the police presence in a district located in central Sweden affects youths and what their general perception is about the police in the area. We have conducted semi-structured interviews with seven young people, aged 18 to 21, and a police officer from the city's police force. The results showed that the majority of youths initially had positive opinions about the police, however, the majority also felt that the ability of the police to communicate with the general public could be improved. Almost all participants felt that police presence in the area was high. Half of the participants felt that the presence increased their feelings of security, while the rest felt that police presence either decreased or did not affect their feelings of security.

Lukačovič, Markéta January 2012 (has links)
The doctoral thesis preliminary focuses on the comparison of concepts of creation in music and architecture and to explore the connection and possible blending of both arts. The main focus of the dissertation is the research of the parallel between the composition of music and architecture, in their characters, means of composition and methods. The methods of approaching the topic were the analysis's of music and architectural materials such as dedicated books, magazines, internet articles, as well as audio recordings, realisations of architectonic works, printed materials on acoustics, psychology of perception and aesthetics as well as own experience and knowledge in the field of music and architecture and the experiment in composition. Results of the dissertation are theoretical conclusions enlightening the given topic and the practical experiment in the form of the analysis of the music composition and the application of its compositional methods into the architectonic design.
