Tendo por objetivo final mostrar a aplicação dos conceitos de derivada nas construções gráficas de funções polinomiais, especificamente de funções polinomiais do segundo e terceiro grau por serem as mais adequadas ao Ensino Médio. Para isso, serão utilizados instrumentos matemáticos que fazem uso de derivadas, tais como: Teste da Derivada primeira e Teste da Derivada segunda. / This work deals with the issues of functions , limits and derivatives . With the ultimate goal to show the application of the concepts of derivatives in the graphic construction of polynomial functions, in particular polynomial functions of degree two and three since they are the most suitable for the high school. To this end, we will use mathematical tools that make use of derivatives, such as: Test of the first derivative and Test of the second derivative.

Para atingir a tais fins, o mesmo foi dividido em duas partes. A primeira, um referencial teórico, traz uma revisão sobre os conceitos iniciais da Estatística, mais especificamente sobre as estruturas necessárias para compreensão e construção de gráficos. A segunda, um estudo de cinco casos (cinco gráficos estatísticos divulgados pela mídia) e as respectivas análises sobre cada um deles, pretende assim levar o leitor a uma postura mais amadurecida e cautelosa perante os mesmos. / This study aims to entice in readers who have access to it, a look more critical and questioning in relation to the statistical graphs that appear daily in the media, and also serveassupportmaterialinaStatisticsclass,explainingtostudentstheimportanceofsuch content understanding to a full exercise of citizenship. To achieve such purposes, it was divided into two parts. The first, a theoretical referential, provides a review of the initial concepts of Statistics, more specifically on the structures necessary for understanding and building graphics. The second one, a study of five cases (five statistical charts released by the media) and the analysis of each of them, plans to take the reader to become aware of such material to a more mature and cautious stance towards them.

O conteúdo abordado na proposta são gráficos de funções, em especial, o gráfico da função quadrática: a parábola. A necessidade de um maior rigor matemático na explicação da justificativa do gráfico da função quadrática ser uma parábola fez com que desenvolvêssemos uma proposta de roteiro de aula com explicações e definições matemáticas mais rigorosas em relação as que são apresentadas atualmente nos livros didáticos. Utilizamos de cálculos algébricos para as demonstrações e também fizemos uso de um material prático, um quadro branco onde nele temos acoplado um esquadro, e com uso de pinos, barbante e pincel para quadro branco conseguimos traçar a parábola levando em conta sua propriedade. O material prático auxilia na explicação bem como exemplifica visualmente o que queremos mostrar com os cálculos algébricos. A proposta foi apresentada aos alunos de duas escolas, uma pública estadual e outra privada, que leciono no município de Viçosa - MG e também foi apresentada a seis professores de matemática, colegas de trabalho, sendo cinco destes professores de escolas públicas estaduais, municipais e privadas do município de Viçosa - MG e um professor de escola pública estadual do município de Teixeiras - MG. / The present work aims to develop a teaching proposal in mathematics for high school students. The content addressed in the proposal are graphs of functions, especially the graph of the quadratic function: the parabola. The need for greater mathematical rigor in explaining the justification of the quadratic function graph to be a parable has led us to develop a lesson plan proposal with more rigorous mathematical explanations and definitions than are currently presented in textbooks. We used algebraic calculations for the demonstrations and also made use of a practical material, a white board where we have attached a square, and with the use of pins, string and whiteboard brush we can draw the parable taking into account its property. The practical material helps in the explanation as well as visually exemplifies what we want to show with the algebraic calculations. The proposal was presented to the students of two schools, one state public and the other private, which I teach in the city of Viçosa - MG and was also presented to six mathematics teachers, co-workers, five of these teachers from state, municipal and state public schools. private schools of the municipality of Viçosa - MG and a teacher of a state public school in the municipality of Teixeiras - MG.

Considerável atenção tem sido dada às reações de metanol, uma vez que é um combustível alternativo importante. Nessa dissertação foi feito primeiramente um estudo dos sistemas moleculares que envolvem a reação entre o metanol e o radical hidroxila, otimizando-se as geometrias envolvidas em diferentes níveis teóricos como o Density Functional Theory (DFT), Hartree Fock (HF) e Coupled Cluster (CCSD(T)) calculados pelo MOLPRO [1]. A partir destes resultados foram construídos gráficos energéticos, que caracterizam a superfície de energia potencial de forma não-analítica. Utilizou-se métodos clássicos no estudo da dinâmica de reações químicas, gerando condições iniciais pelo método Quasiclassical Trajetory (QCT), em seguida, passamos ao estudo de trajetórias on-the-fly, que possui um custo computacional muito elevado inviabilizando um estudo estatístico das velocidades de reação. A partir daí, os procedimentos para calcular as constantes de velocidade em função das propriedades moleculares teóricas passou a ser investigado usando o pressuposto fundamental de que o perfil da reação pode ser descrito a um nível teórico pela Teoria do Estado de Transição (TST) usando-se para isto o programa kcvt [28]. Obtivemos as geometrias otimizadas, os gráficos energéticos de todos os pontos das reações OH+CH3OH→H2O+CH2OH e OH+CH3OH→H2O+CH3O nos níveis DFT - funcional BHLYP, HF e CCSD(T), assim como as constantes de velocidade canônica para uma faixa de temperatura de 120K a 3000k. / The use of alcohol as fuel has been considered a promising source of renewable energy. Considerable attention has been given to the reactions of methanol, since it is an important alternative fuel. In this dissertation, firstly it was studied molecular systems involving the reaction between methanol and the hydroxyl radical, optimizing the geometries involved in different theoretical levels like Density Functional Theory (DFT), Hartree Fock (HF) end Coupled Cluster (CCSD(T)) calculated by MOLPRO [1] . From these results it were built energy graphics that characterize the potential energy surface which is not analytical. We used standard methods to study the dynamics of chemical reactions, generating initial conditions by Quasiclassical Trajetory (QCT) method, passing to the study of trajectories on-the-fly, which has a very high computational cost invalidating a statistical study of reaction rates . Thereafter, the procedures to calculate the rate constants on the basis of theoretical molecular properties has been investigated using the fundamental assumption that the profile of the reaction can be described in a theoretical level by The Theory of State Transition (TST) using- to this the kcvt program [28]. We obtained the optimized geometries, the energy graphs of all the points of the reactions OH+CH3OH→H2O+CH2OH and OH+CH3OH→+H2OCH3O in the DFT-BHLYP, HFandCCSD(T)levels, as well as the canonical rates constants for a temperature range from 120K to 3000K.
