Software pro řízení experimentů na biomechanickém testovacím zařízení. / The Software for Experiments Control on Biomechanical Machine.

Hejč, Tomáš January 2009 (has links)
The main aim of this masters thesis is the design and the realization of graphical user interface for constructionally-advanced prototype of biochemical device, which was realized in terms of the cooperation of ISMMB (Institute of Solid Mechanics, Mechatronics and Biomechanics) and IAI (Institute of Automation and Computer Science). The NI LabVIEW developing suite has been used as the main design tool of this software. This experimental device is used to investigate characteristics of spinal vertebra. The main aim of this thesis is to realize the control software, which is able to plan, initialize and record the long-term experiments on this device. This thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. First part is focused on the description of the experimental device and sums all apointed requirements. This part also includes characterization of software tools, that has been used to realization in NI LabVIEW 8.6 development suite. The practical part deals with the design and successive realization of the developed application used for planning and controlling experiments, and also describes performed long-term tests. The solutions of a few fundamental problems, which were shown during these tests, are also included.

Transfigurations: A Symphonic Work for Orchestra and Live Computer Processing

Vidiksis, Adam January 2013 (has links)
Transfigurations is a symphonic work in one movement for orchestra and live computer processing utilizing the graphical audio programming language Pure Data. The score and patch for this piece are accompanied by an essay describing the audio processing techniques and the compositional processes employed in this work. Programming methods discussed include strategies for data capture, patch structure, user interface, and processor management. All audio processing in the work is realized in realtime. These sounds are derived directly from the orchestra in performance, except for the last. The processes involved in Transfigurations include pitch and amplitude tracking, pitch-shifting, filtering, frequency and amplitude modulation, granular synthesis, delay, and convolution. The final sounds from the computer employ stochastic processes for synthesis which are derived from the germinal materials of the piece. The essay also discusses the aesthetic philosophy and formal structure of the work, principle themes and motives, and formative pitch materials, as well as the compositional processes in each section. The final discourse of the essay considers microphone and loudspeaker setups, patch preparation and leveling, and strategies for rehearsal and performance. / Music Composition / Accompanied by one .pdf file, Transfigurations for orchestra and live computer processing: Full score, and one .pd file.

Visualisering av datastrukturer : Utveckling av ett tolkningsverktyg

Adborn, Mats January 2013 (has links)
Interpretation and assimilation of data structures, organized information andsource code files are frequently occuring during software development. This kindof information is stored in text-based form and its understanding requires greatthoroughness and investment in time from the developer's part. This thesisdescribes the development of a utility program prototype, which automates theparsing of XML data and source code files from the programming languages Cand C++, in purpose of trying to simplify the interpretation process. The programcreates and presents a visual graph of the structure found, using an algorithmwhich can present arbitrary large XML files as well as a limited number ofconcurrent source code files. The effects on the interpretation time and itsreliablity has been evaluated in a survey among software development students. The result showed a certain increase in the number of correct conclusions fromthe participants' side after studying the visual representation compared to itsorignial text-based form. The amount of time used was not measured other thansubjectively by the users themselves, of which a predominant proportionconsidered a reduction in needed time when using the graphical representation. The thesis shows that the use of this or an equivalent utility can enhance theassimilation of data structures by increasing the rate of reliabilty whilesimultaneously decreasing the needed amount of time. Still, the quantifyable gainsof these results remains statistically largely uncertain.

Thermal room modelling adapted to the test of HVAC control systems / Thermisches Raummodell für den Test von Reglern für Heizungs-, Lüftungs- und Klimasystemen

Riederer, Peter 05 November 2002 (has links) (PDF)
Room models, currently used for controller tests, assume the room air to be perfectly mixed. A new room model is developed, assuming non-homogeneous room conditions and distinguishing between different sensor positions. From measurement in real test rooms and detailed CFD simulations, a list of convective phenomena is obtained that has to be considered in the development of a model for a room equipped with different HVAC systems. The zonal modelling approach that divides the room air into several sub-volumes is chosen, since it is able to represent the important convective phenomena imposed on the HVAC system. The convective room model is divided into two parts: a zonal model, representing the air at the occupant zone and a second model, providing the conditions at typical sensor positions. Using this approach, the comfort conditions at the occupant zone can be evaluated as well as the impact of different sensor positions. The model is validated for a test room equipped with different HVAC systems. Sensitivity analysis is carried out on the main parameters of the model. Performance assessment and energy consumption are then compared for different sensor positions in a room equipped with different HVAC systems. The results are also compared with those obtained when a well-mixed model is used. A main conclusion of these tests is, that the differences obtained, when changing the position of the controller's sensor, is a function of the HVAC system and controller type. The differences are generally small in terms of thermal comfort but significant in terms of overall energy consumption. For different HVAC systems the cases are listed, in which the use of a simplified model is not recommended. This PhD has been submitted in accordance to the conditions for attaining both the French and the German degree of a PhD, on a co-national basis, in the frame of a statement of the French government from January 18th, 1994. The research has been carried out in the Automation and Energy Management Group (AGE), Department of Sustainable Development (DDD), at the "Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment" (CSTB) in Marne la Vallée, France, in collaboration with the "Centre Energétique" (CENERG) at the "Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris" (ENSMP), Paris, France and the Technical University of Dresden (TUD), Germany.
