The control designs require only the lower and upper bounds of the system nonlinearities and of the system linear parameters, which can depend on uncertain parameters. In practical applications, due to the operational restrictions of the equipments, in the control design, it is necessary to consider that the control law is subject to actuator saturation. First, using a methodology found in the literature to solve the actuator saturation problem, one proposes a switched control law that chooses a state-feedback controller gain, which belongs to a given set of gains, that minimizes the time derivative of a quadratic Lyapunov function. This procedure eliminates the necessity of finding the membership function expressions to implement the control law, guarantees an H∞ performance and ensures that the state trajectory remains within a region in which the T-S fuzzy model is valid. In addition, the actuator saturation problem is approached with another methodology, using the control signal to compose an extended state vector. Then, the region in which the uncertain nonlinear system is exactly represented via T-S fuzzy models is composed by the bounds of the control signal. / This thesis proposes local H∞ switched control designs for a class of uncertain nonlinear plants described by Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy models with unknown membership functions. Finally, three examples are presented. The first example studies the control of a chaotic Lorenz system. It shows that, for disturbances with large magnitude, the proposed procedures provided better results than the obtained with another recent method found in the literature, that considers full access to the membership functions. In the second example, a practical implementation of an active suspension control system, considering a nonlinear spring and an actuator fault, confirms the effectiveness of the proposed approach. The last example uses an inverted pendulum system to address the local stability control problem. The simulations illustrate that the control scheme, which uses the extended state vector, is able to avoid a possible discontinuity of the control signal. / CNPq: 142035/2013-0

Réseau de PLLs distribuées pour synthèse automatique d'horloge de MPSOCs synchrones / Distributed PLL network for automatic clock synthesis of synchronous MPSOCs

Korniienko, Anton 06 December 2011 (has links)
The classical clock distribution trees used in the synchronous microprocessor systems in nowadays have several drawbacks such as skew, jitter, frequency limitation, perturbation and disturbance behavioral impact independently of their origin, etc.. These factors, critical for the modern microprocessors, motivate the research of an alternative architecture of the clock generation and distribution system. An example of such alternative architectures is the network of coupled PLLs where the PLLs are geographically distributed on the chip and produce the local clock signals. These local clock signals are then synchronized, in real time, by an exchange of information between the PLLs and by local feedback corrections realized by its controllers. Distributed PLLs network allows overcoming the mentioned limitation encountered for the classical clock distribution system. However, the active nature of this network requires going beyond the scope of usual stand-alone PLL design methods. Indeed, the dynamical aspects of the feedback loops and the transformations of the signal inside this complex system make the design problem extremely difficult to solve. The main issue consists in ensuring certain properties of the global network as well as local properties of each subsystem PLL because those properties may change drastically from independent stand-alone PLL designed with standard tools and methods. Indeed, depending on the network topology, the local properties and global dynamical behavior are not necessarily ensured for the overall network. The main contribution of this PhD thesis is the development of a control law design method for each subsystem (such as PLL) ensuring the desired behavior of the global network. A method for transforming the global design problem to an equivalent local control law design problem is proposed. It is based on the assumption that all subsystems are identical. The relation between the local and global properties is established using advanced Control System Theory tools such as input-output and dissipativity principle. This principle decreases significantly the problem complexity by transforming the design problem into a form that is closed to the design of a stand-alone closed loop system. The proposed method is combined with robust H∞ control and LMI optimization that can be solved efficiently with appropriate algorithms that are well suited for the considered application i.e. the PLLs network synchronization. The proposed approach can be easily generalized to other types of networked system to be controlled.

Contribution à la modélisation non-linéaire et à la commande d'un actionneur robotique intégré pour la manipulation / Non-linear modeling and control of a robotic actuator. Application to object manipulation

Huard, Benoît 07 June 2013 (has links)
The realization of dexterous manipulation tasks requires a complexity in robotic hands design as well as in their control laws synthesis. A mecatronical optimization of these systems helps to answer for functional integration constraints by avoiding external force sensors. Back-drivable mechanics allows the free-space positioning determination of such system as far as the detection of its interaction with a manipulated object thanks to proprioceptives measures at electric actuator level. The objective of this thesis is to synthesize a control law adapted to object manipulation by taking into account these mechanical properties in a one degree-of-freedom case. The proposed method is based on a robust control according to structural non-linearities due to gravitational effects and dry frictions on the one hand and with regard to a variable rigidity of manipulated objects on the other hand. The chosen approach requires a precise knowledge of the system configuration at all time. A dynamic representation of its behavior enables a software sensor synthesis for the exteroceptives variables estimation in a control law application purpose. The different steps are experimentally validated in order to justify the chosen approach leading to object manipulation.

Commande h∞ à base de modèles non entiers / H∞ control of fractional order models

Fadiga, Lamine 12 June 2014 (has links)
The general theme of the work enables to extend H∞ control methodology to fractional order models. Two approaches are proposed. The first one consists in rewriting the fractional order model as an uncertain integer order model in order to use existing H∞ control methods for integer order models. The second approach consists in developing specific LMI conditions for fractional order models based on their pseudo state space representation. These two approaches are applied to the vibratory isolation of a bridge.

Active vibration control in a specific zone of smart structures / Contrôle actif de vibration dans une zone spécifique des structures intelligentes

Wang, Peng 25 March 2019 (has links)
This research aims at solving a particular vibration control problem of smart structures. We aim at reducing the vibration in a specific zone of the smart structure under the disturbance that covers a wide frequency band. Moreover, at this specific zone, neither actuation nor sensing is possible. Here we face several main challenges. First, we need to control the vibration of a specific zone of the structure while we only have access to measurements at other zones. Second, the wide bandwidth of the disturbance implies that numerous modes should be controlled at the same time which requires the use of multiple actuators and sensors. This leads to a MIMO controller which is difficult to obtain using classical controller design methods. Third, the so-called spillover problem must be avoided which is to guarantee the closed-loop stability when the model-based controller is applied on the actual setup. To tackle these challenges, we investigate two control strategies: the centralized control and the distributed control. For centralized control, we propose a methodology that allows us to obtain a simple MIMO controller that accomplishes these challenges. First, several modeling and identification techniques are applied to obtain an accurate low-order model of the smart structure. Then, an H_∞ control based synthesis method with a particularly proposed H_∞ criterion is applied. This H_∞ criterion integrates multiple control objectives, including the main challenges. In particular, the spillover problem is transformed into a robust stability problem and will be guaranteed using this criterion. The obtained H_∞ controller is a standard solution of the H_∞ problem. The final controller is obtained by further simplifying this H_∞ controller without losing the closed-loop stability and degrading the performance. This methodology is validated on a beam structure with piezoelectric transducers and the central zone is where the vibration should be reduced. The effectiveness of the obtained controller is validated by simulations and experiments. For distributed control, we consider the same beam structure and the same control objectives. There exist methods aiming at designing distributed controllers of spatially interconnected system. This research proposes a FEM based method, combined with several model reduction techniques, that allows to spatially discretize the beam structure and deduce the state-space models of interconnected subsystems. The design of distributed controllers will not be tackled in this research.
