Alternativní pohony automobilů / Alternative drives of cars

Wachal, Ondřej January 2010 (has links)
My diploma thesis deals with alternative drive cars that are still more popular these times. Due to limited supplies of oil fields car factories turn their attention to the development of alternative drives, which would be independent of exhaustible resources. The aim of the work will mainly compare the economic efficiency of current alternative fuel vehicles, where belong hybrid drives, electric drives, but also a unit for compressed gas or biofuels, to the current conventional drives. This comparison will be done from the perspective of the end consumer who will decide on the purchase of alternative drive mainly because of its indicating cost savings. Another important part of the evaluation is whether alternative fuels are actually more environmentally friendly and are actually counted all the costs. For this analysis I will provide a variety of specialized studies dealing with the issue of alternative propulsion friendliness to the environment.

Borg, David, Sundvall, Emil January 2022 (has links)
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explore how employees apprehend leadership qualities to develop an effective, cohesive and communicative workgroup in the hybrid environment. By using the employee’s perspective, it will help us to elucidate what a successful leader is in the hybrid environment. Method: We have conducted a case study with a qualitative and abductive approach. The empirical data has been collected through semi-structured interviews with eight different employees who work in a company's customer service and works or has worked in a hybridenvironment. Empirical data has also been collected by using the company's internal documents. To examine the collected empirical data, a thematic analysis has been used. Conclusion: This study indicates that the leader of a hybrid workgroup seems to need functional qualities to integrate several areas while the relational ties it together in a different way. One of the studies' conclusions is that employees perceive different components in each area that are important to elaborate efficiency, cohesion and communication in the hybrid environment, and to do this the study shows that different leadership qualities are important. Another conclusion in the study is that the leadership quality to organize will manage the three areas simultaneously and can in theory be seen as the most important to possess for a successful leader in the hybrid environment. The study also empirical indicates that the leadership qualities of being socially competent, responsive, plainness and determined which only handles two areas simultaneously are important for a leader to be considered successfulin a hybrid environment. The conclusion shows that the leader doesn't always have to develop the three areas simultaneously to be perceived as successful.

Barros, Ana Paula Rodrigues Magalhães de January 2019 (has links)
(Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: The internet is currently offering more and more resources that can be used for teaching purposes. Research has shown how the use of software, video, and other online materials are contributing to the teaching and learning of Mathematics. However, it is noticeable that the potentialities of the Internet have been poorly used in Mathematics classes. In this sense, even when the classroom – characterized by its complexity – uses internet resources, teaching and learning practices will mostly express a culture socially produced when the Internet was not present. Therefore, this research seeks to understand cultural practices (re)constituted in mathematics classes mediated by the Internet in a hybrid environment. The research is based on qualitative investigation, and on collaborative work between myself and two grade 10 teachers from public schools in the state of São Paulo. One school was a regular school in the city of Vinhedo, and the other was a technical school in the city of Nova Odessa. In both schools, classes were focused on the concept of function, and the features of a hybrid environment were considered during class implementation. Narrative analysis was used to communicate the knowledge built from the data produced in the two classrooms, which are acknowledged in this research as complex systems. As such, the data was analyzed from the lens of Complexity Science. Research outcomes show that teaching is facilitated by the potentialities of a hybrid environment in orde... The environment is considered a hybrid resource since it has a real portion (industrial network) and a simulated one (process) with all measurement and control signals also real. It is possible to reproduce different industrial process dynamics without being required any physical network modification, enabling simulation of some situations that exist in a real industrial environment. This feature testifies the environment flexibility. In this work, a distillation column is simulated through HYSYS R with all its variables measured and controlled by Foundation Fieldbus devices / O principal objetivo deste trabalho ? desenvolver um ambiente que permite a comunica??o do simulador de processos qu?micos HYSYS R com medidores e atuadores de uma rede industrial Foundation Fieldbus.

DIGITERIORS & The emotional being : A speculation on how existing interiors can be sustainably influenced in a digital dimension through Augmented Reality and how our emotions can inform these influences

Elvin, Agnes January 2022 (has links)
We human beings are facing a dilemma, as we live in a time and place where we inevitably have to become more stationary in our way of living, as well as make more careful and calculated decisions about what type of products we consume and how. As we are increasingly confined to our homes, our homes are having to act host to all of the activities that we used to leave our home for, such as work, exercise, leisure and more. The need for interior modification is larger than ever, yet the need is conflicted by the threat that product consumption is paying to our climate. This project has explored the technology of augmented reality as an alternative method for interior adaptation, personalisation and creation in existing environments, through a concept called DIGITERIORS. By introducing flexible and digital layers to our static and analog interiors, the concept enables a new interactive dimension of interiors that can be atmospherically optimised and customised for a specific activity, need or mood, innumerable times without having to consume interior products or material. On a larger scale, this project speculates on sustainable and alternative ways of influencing our interiors in the future, using technologies that are already developed, but not yet fully utilised.
