Internet-Scale Reactive Routing and MobilityNelson, Daniel B 01 June 2009 (has links) (PDF)
Since its commercialization, the Internet has grown exponentially. A large variety of devices can communicate creating advanced services for a diverse ecosystem of applications. However, as the number of Internet hosts has grown, the size of routing tables required to correctly route data between them has also increased exponentially. This growth rate necessitates increasingly frequent upgrades to routing device hardware, providing them with additional memory for fast-access storage of route information. These upgrades are both physically and fiscally untenable, and a new Internet routing solution is necessary for future growth.
This research focuses around an incrementally deployable, reactive routing system that is scalable to projected Internet growth. It requires no hardware or software updates to Internet routers, and offoads processing to end hosts and the network's edge. Within this framework, routers can make accurate decisions about optimal data paths; incurring no increase in path length over the current routing system.
A new architecture for IP Mobility is considered as a case study within this routing system, and compared with existing standards and implementations. The new architecture eliminates the triangle routing problem, while providing legacy hosts with connectivity to mobile devices. This mobility solution can integrate with a variety of hierarchical reactive routing systems with little overhead.

Multihoming with ILNP in FreeBSDSimpson, Bruce January 2016 (has links)
Multihoming allows nodes to be multiply connected to the network. It forms the basis of features which can improve network responsiveness and robustness; e.g. load balancing and fail-over, which can be considered as a choice between network locations. However, IP today assumes that IP addresses specify both network location and node identity. Therefore, these features must be implemented at routers. This dissertation considers an alternative based on the multihoming approach of the Identifier Locator Network Protocol (ILNP). ILNP is one of many proposals for a split between network location and node identity. However, unlike other proposals, ILNP removes the use of IP addresses as they are used today. To date, ILNP has not been implemented within an operating system stack. I produce the first implementation of ILNP in FreeBSD, based on a superset of IPv6 – ILNPv6 – and demonstrate a key feature of ILNP: multihoming as a first class function of the operating system, rather than being implemented as a routing function as it is today. To evaluate the multihoming capability, I demonstrate one important application of multihoming – load distribution – at three levels of network hierarchy including individual hosts, a singleton Site Border Router (SBR), and a novel, dynamically instantiated, distributed SBR (dSBR). For each level, I present empirical results from a hardware testbed; metrics include latency, throughput, loss and reordering. I compare performance with unmodified IPv6 and NPTv6. Finally, I evaluate the feasibility of dSBR-ILNPv6 as an alternative to existing multihoming approaches, based on measurements of the dSBR's responsiveness to changes in site connectivity. We find that multihoming can be implemented by individual hosts and/or SBRs, without requiring additional routing state as is the case today, and without any significant additional load or overhead compared to unicast IPv6.

Dynamic Data Citation Service-Subset Tool for Operational Data ManagementSchubert, Chris, Seyerl, Georg, Sack, Katharina January 2019 (has links) (PDF)
In earth observation and climatological sciences, data and their data services grow on a daily
basis in a large spatial extent due to the high coverage rate of satellite sensors, model calculations, but
also by continuous meteorological in situ observations. In order to reuse such data, especially data
fragments as well as their data services in a collaborative and reproducible manner by citing the origin
source, data analysts, e.g., researchers or impact modelers, need a possibility to identify the exact
version, precise time information, parameter, and names of the dataset used. A manual process would
make the citation of data fragments as a subset of an entire dataset rather complex and imprecise to
obtain. Data in climate research are in most cases multidimensional, structured grid data that can
change partially over time. The citation of such evolving content requires the approach of "dynamic
data citation". The applied approach is based on associating queries with persistent identifiers. These
queries contain the subsetting parameters, e.g., the spatial coordinates of the desired study area or the
time frame with a start and end date, which are automatically included in the metadata of the newly
generated subset and thus represent the information about the data history, the data provenance,
which has to be established in data repository ecosystems. The Research Data Alliance Data Citation
Working Group (RDA Data Citation WG) summarized the scientific status quo as well as the state of
the art from existing citation and data management concepts and developed the scalable dynamic
data citation methodology of evolving data. The Data Centre at the Climate Change Centre Austria
(CCCA) has implemented the given recommendations and offers since 2017 an operational service
on dynamic data citation on climate scenario data. With the consciousness that the objective of this
topic brings a lot of dependencies on bibliographic citation research which is still under discussion,
the CCCA service on Dynamic Data Citation focused on the climate domain specific issues, like
characteristics of data, formats, software environment, and usage behavior. The current effort beyond
spreading made experiences will be the scalability of the implementation, e.g., towards the potential
of an Open Data Cube solution.

我國獨立選民之研究 / The Study of Taiwan Independent Voter葉銘元, Yeh, Ming Yuan Unknown Date (has links)

Zpracování unikátních molekulárních indexů bez mapování k referenčnímu genomu / Processing of Unique Molecular Identifiers without Mapping to a Reference GenomeBarilíková, Lujza January 2020 (has links)

Automatic Analysis of Blend Words / Analyse automatique de mots mélangésWarintarawej, Pattaraporn 04 April 2013 (has links)
Lexical blending is amazing in the sense of morphological productivity, involving the coinage of a new lexeme by fusing parts of at least two source words. Since new things need new words, blending has become a frequent productive word creation such as smog (smoke and fog), or alicament (aliment and médicament) (a French blend word), etc. The challenge is to design methods to discover how the first source word and the second source word are combined. The thesis aims at automatic analysis blend words in order to find the source words they evoke. The contributions of the thesis can divided into two main parts. First, the contribution to automatic blend word analysis, we develop top-k classification and its evaluation framework to predict concepts of blend words. We investigate three different features of words: character N-grams, syllables and morpho-phonological stems. Moreover, we propose a novel approach to automatically identify blend source words, named Enqualitum. The experiments are conducted on both synthetic French blend words and words from a French thesaurus. Second, the contribution to software engineering application, we apply the idea of learning character patterns of identifiers to predict concepts of source codes and also introduce a method to automate semantic context in source codes. The experiments are conducted on real identifier names from open source software packages. The results show the usefulness and the effectiveness of our proposed approaches.
