A informação e o acesso a ela agregam valor ao processo de desenvolvimento científico e tecnológico gerando conhecimentos que produzem mais informações e, consequentemente, mais conhecimento, estabelecendo-se um ciclo que proporciona uma interação entre os saberes. Organizar a informação e estabelecer procedimentos para a categorização conceitual, na elaboração de linguagens documentárias utilizadas para a sua representação, possibilitam ao usuário o acesso a respostas para solucionar questões pertinentes à sua pesquisa. Delimitamos a área do Direito como domínio a ser trabalhado com o objetivo de identificar princípios para a categorização conceitual da informação jurídica que contribuam para elaborar instrumentos de representação e controle terminológico, ou seja, elaborar linguagens documentárias mais eficientes para a indexação da sua produção documental e que preservem o contexto em que o termo jurídico é empregado. O referencial teórico utilizado para a definição do termo \"categorização\", o qual inclui autores como Aristóteles, Kant, Wittgenstein e Rosch, aliado à Teoria do Conceito de Dahlberg e à Teoria Comunicativa da Terminologia de Cabré, assim como a análise de linguagens documentárias utilizadas para a indexação no âmbito do Direito, permitiram a identificação de alguns princípios que devem ser considerados na elaboração desses instrumentos de representação e controle terminológico para a recuperação da informação. Quando a linguagem documentária não oferece compatibilidade com a linguagem de busca do usuário, compromete a qualidade da pesquisa realizada e a credibilidade do Sistema de Informação quanto à sua eficácia na recuperação da informação documentária e satisfação do usuário. Dessa maneira, a proposição é avaliar, por meio da observação do usuário, a linguagem documentária DeCS - Descritores em Ciências da Saúde, utilizada para a recuperação da informação no sistema LILACS (Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde), com o intuito de obter indicadores para delinear as estratégias de aprimoramento da linguagem na área de Fonoaudiologia. Para avaliação dessa linguagem empregou-se a técnica do protocolo verbal ou "pensar alto" (thinking aloud), tendo como sujeitos pesquisadores do Departamento de Fonoaudiologia da Faculdade de Odontologia de Bauru da Universidade de São Paulo - FOB-USP. A aplicação dessa técnica foi realizada no próprio ambiente de trabalho dos sujeitos, tendo sido verificado, anteriormente, o conhecimento de cada um deles no acesso ao sistema LILACS, bem como na utilização da linguagem DeCS. A partir de então, foram selecionados quatro sujeitos representantes das quatro especialidades formadoras da área de Fonoaudiologia: Linguagem, Voz, Motricidade Oral e Audiologia, e observados, com protocolo verbal, na tarefa de realizar a recuperação de informações, no campo de descritor de assunto da interface de busca da base de dados LILACS... (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo). / Abstract: The Indexing language, a mediator tool of the indexing information between the information system and the user, plays a crucial role in the access to information, providing a satisfaction in information retrieval and, thus, the generation of scientific knowledge which adds to the welfare of society. Hen the indexing language is not compatible with the userþs search language, it jeopardizes the quality of the research performed and the credibility of the information system as to its efficacy in retrieving indexing information and the userþs satisfaction. Therefore, the proposition is to assess, by observing the user, the DeCS - Health Sciences Descriptors indexing language, utilized for the retrieval of information in the LILACS system (LILACS - Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences), aiming at obtaining indicators to outline strategies to improve the language in the field of Speech- Language Pathology and Audiology. Performs a theoretical-methodological study of the Knowledge Representation and Indexing Languages, in the context of Information Science. Presents and describes three Indexing Languages that covering the field of economics: the Controlled Vocabulary of the USP; the Thesauri ISOC of Economy; and the translation of the Library of Congress Subject Headings used by Biblioteca Nacional. Conceptualizes the information of the field of Economics. Used as a methodology the “Modelo Metodológico Integrado para Construção de Tesauro” proposed by Cervantes (2009). The research concludes that this model is an instrument consolidated and feasible to build of Indexing Languages. They represent therefore, productive aspects of the reality of the country, a state, a county, or even specific sectors, that can the use for the make decision and consequent investments in innovations that result in an improvement to society. / Esta pesquisa investiga a representação documentária do domínio da Economia, por meio da análise das estruturas de representação em Linguagens Documentárias e documentos específicos de Economia, a partir da identificação dos termos dos Boletins de Conjuntura Econômica do Brasil. Tem como objetivo geral, contribuir com o desenvolvimento da representação da informação do domínio da Economia, por meio dos resultados da análise de como a informação é representada nas Linguagens Documentárias e, como objetivos específicos: investigar os aspectos teóricos da representação documentária do domínio da Economia; identificar e descrever a informação nos Boletins de Conjuntura Econômica do Brasil; e, analisar a informação do domínio da Economia representada nas Linguagens Documentárias. Tendo em vista, portanto, a peculiaridade e a importância da informação do domínio da Economia, que serve de suporte para o desenvolvimento socioeconômico do Brasil, indaga-se: Como a informação do domínio da Economia é representada pelas Linguagens Documentárias? A tese desta pesquisa é de que o aprimoramento da representação da informação do domínio da Economia depende da delimitação do seu conceito e de estudos das Linguagens Documentárias que a representam. Apresenta e descreve três Linguagens Documentárias que abrangem o domínio da Economia: o Vocabulário Controlado da USP; o Tesauro ISOC de Economia; e a tradução da Library of Congress Subject Headings utilizada pela Biblioteca Nacional. A pesquisa conclui que este modelo é um instrumento consolidado e exequível para construção de Linguagens Documentárias. Elabora uma estrutura documentária do domínio da Economia tendo, como parâmetro, as estruturas das Linguagens Documentárias e os documentos específicos da área. A partir da compilação do corpus de termos econômicos dos boletins, do seu cotejamento e verificação nas linguagens pesquisadas, classifica-os para, em seguida, apresentar uma proposta de categorização deles no subdomínio “Indicadores Econômicos”, inserindo-os no Vocabulário da USP. Infere que o conceito de informação do domínio da Economia, assim como o conceito de Indicadores Econômicos, consubstanciam-se como sinônimos de informação, pois indicam um “conjunto de significantes” da conjuntura econômica. The proposal is to carry through an evaluation study of the alphabetic indexing language use of the online collective catalogs, with a main focus on the technologies of representation and information retrieval, in the perspective of the university libraries and in the socio-cognitive context of indexers and users.
