Reklamos paslaugų teikimo proceso valdymo sistemos sudarymas bei tyrimas / Composition and research of management system of the advertising services provision process

Juodaitis, Mindaugas 30 May 2005 (has links)
The process of high technologies allow to use the most effective decisions optimizing the work of companies in different range. It is the communication with clients, internal data flow and public information. Advertising market is one of the spheres for which these objectives are set and solutions seeked. The singularity of advertisement market is close contact with clients, the huge amount of varied work, broad distribution of functions in the company, expeditious presentation of production, different price – lists and constantly innovated facilities. To control this activity the computerized informational system should be used. It gathers all data about the clients (CRM – Client relationship Management), gives the presentation of facilities in the internet ( CMS – Content Management System ) and saves the internal information of the company at one place ( IS – Informational System). Internals of these different systems are realized in the management system of the advertising service. It helps to realize the needs of advertising company.

Lietuvos ūkininko ūkio informacinė sistema / Information system of the farmer of Lithuania

Misiūnas, Donatas 30 May 2005 (has links)
SUMMARY Nowadays, the economic information is appreciable more and more. Computerized information system could satisfy this information need. It should be noticed, that the computerization level of the society in our country is very low. There wasn’t created information system for small Lithuanian farmer’s farm till now. The study object of this work − information system for Lithuanian farmer’s farm. Study goal − to create information system for Lithuanian farmer using up-to-date computer technologies. It was made analysis of Lithuanian farmer’s farm computerizing field, described functional and nonfunctional requirements for information system. Documentation for farmer is prepared. Testing and quality control are made. The main feature of this information system is the possibility to execute accounting by simple system. The main benefits of this system are: 1. Smaller labour expenditures in calculating, preparing of invoices, quittances and other documents. 2. Possibility to administer target and real outlay, costs. 3. Possibility to publish information about on sale production in the Internet. In the future the functionality of the information system for farm can be expanded including total cost price calculations. It should be noticed, that in the future the Government of Lithuania must take the example from other countries of the World and became the main sponsor for creation of new information systems for Lithuanian farmer farm.

DETERMINING FACTORS THAT CONTRIBUTE TO NONPOINT SOURCE POLLUTION IN THE LOWER KENTUCKY WATERSHED

Wermuth, James A. 01 January 2007 (has links)
The water quality in the United States has greatly improved since the implementation of the Clean Water Act (CWA) in the early 1970s. Unfortunately, the Clean Water Act only addresses one kind of water pollution, point source pollution. The major problem that is present in the degradation of todays water quality has to deal with nonpoint source pollution. Agriculture is commonly regarded as the leading contributor to nonpoint source pollution in the United States. This study uses two analytical tools to try to determine the significant factors in the transport of pollutants in the Lower Kentucky Watershed, located in central Kentucky. Spatial analysis (GIS) coupled with the statistical analysis (SAS), allowed for significant factors to be identified within a small proximity of sampling sites throughout the watershed. The results suggest that although agriculture is commonly regarded as the largest contributor to nonpoint source pollution, other factors outside of agriculture were also found to be significant, such as resident land use and rainfall. The results generated from this study suggest that land managers in communities throughout the watershed should analyze agricultural factors, as well as, factors outside of agriculture, in an effort to protect their communities water quality.

Operationsprocessen : operationsplaneringssystems betydelse för patientsäkerheten vid kirurgi / Operating Room Management : the importance of an Operating Room Information System for the Patient Safety in Surgery

Hall, Daniel January 2013 (has links)
Introduction: Patient safety is an important part in the performance of good quality in healthcare and particularly in critical areas like anesthesia and surgery. The process of surgery can be supported by an operating room information system, but there is no adequate description of how a system like this will support a safer care of the patient. Purpose: The aim of the present study is to describe the process and importance of an operating room information system for the patient safety in operating rooms from the perspective of employees. Method: An empirical study with a qualitative onset was implemented and analyzed using directed content analysis according to Hseih & Shannon. Twenty six interviews were performed from nine different positions during the process of surgery in three different hospitals in mid- and southern Sweden. Results: Operating room management included planning, surgery and evaluation. Extern planning was handled by the surgery ward or reception and intern planning by the surgery department. To complete the process there was an inter-department coordination and planning. Changes and insufficient planning had to be taken into account during this process of planning surgery. Executed planning functioned as the working document during the day of surgery. Evaluation was considered as mostly production-oriented and patient-related evaluation was missing. Two areas emerge from patient safety, perspective and significance. The importance of an operating room information system related to patient safety was information, safety controls, organization and changes. Conclusion: Patient safety was guaranteed by employees who worked in the process of surgery and not by the operating room information systems. Development of safety functions in operating room information system may improve patient safety.

Predicting Wildfires and Measuring their Impacts: Case Studies in British Columbia

Xu, Zhen 29 April 2014 (has links)
As the most destructive forest disturbance in British Columbia, wildfire becomes more worrisome for increasing uncertainty due to climate change. The current study investigates the potential to predict wildfire occurrence using climate indexes and quantify its marginal prices for property values at the municipal level, so as to provide a quantitative indicator for decision making in regard to influences of wildfire occurrence in the near future. First, significant correlations between monthly temperature and precipitation and large fire occurrence with distinctions in terms of distances to municipalities are proved by statistical analysis. Monthly wildfire occurrence are then statistically estimated with the four-month lags of the El Niño index and predicted using count models with regional differences. At last, the hedonic pricing model shows distance based positive impact of fire frequency and negative impact of fire size in neighbouring areas on property values. / Graduate / 0366 / 0478 / 0463 / zach_xu@hotmail.com

Determining the level of usage of information systems in selected small businesses / Pieter Botha

Botha, Pieter Andries January 2011 (has links)
When starting a new business, the owner has the vision to grow the business to a large corporate enterprise. In the small business stage, many challenges face the management of such businesses though. The influence of the external environment pushes the business from one side to the other. It is at this point where a true entrepreneur takes control and uses all necessary skills to succeed in generating the expected return on the invested money. One of the skills in the management armour of the small business manager is the ability to use information as a management tool. To gain insight into the dynamics of information management, a detailed literature study was done on all the aspects relevant to the topic. Previous research studies were taken into account to form a broad understanding of the study field. To determine the use of management information in small businesses as a tool in decision–making activities, a qualitative research study was done. The outcome of this study shows that there is a good understanding of the advantages of using management information as a decision–making tool, but that application does not happen to its full extent in practice. The management of data seems to be not very recent in small businesses. The objectives of the study was to determine the use of information, as well as the possibility of creating a communal information bureau, to assist in the availability of relevant data in the information support process. Certain recommendations were made in terms of the direct results and conclusions raised by the empirical study. Future studies can be done to determine the feasibility of communal data warehouses and data bureaus. / Thesis (MBA)--North-West University, Potchefstroom Campus, 2012.

Navigate Business Model Innovation withKnowledge : A Quantitative Study on Knowledge Managementand Business Model Innovation in Sweden

Qu, Jiajun January 2014 (has links)
Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to explore the relationship between knowledgesources, knowledge capacities, and business model innovation in small medium-sizeenterprises (SMEs) and discover the specific pattern among the three groups. Design/methodology - A total of 103 SMEs' CEOs, entrepreneurs and seniormanagers provide the samples for exploratory factor analyses and multiple regressionanalyses. The data is collected by self-completion survey based on perceptualmeasurement of constructs and also referred to objective data from companies' annualreports. Findings - The results indicate a significant relationship between knowledge sources, capacities and business model innovation. External knowledge interaction associatedwith the business network is positively contributed to business model innovation.Information system integration is directly related to business model innovation andmediates in the link between individual knowledge and business model innovation. Thebetter understanding of customers is also positively related to achieving a successfulbusiness model innovation. SMEs identify knowledge sources, develop knowledgecapacities and apply them specifically in different phases of business modelinnovation. Practical implications - To confront the big enterprises' sufficient knowledge, thisstudy inspires entrepreneurs and leadership of SMEs with the possibility of businessmodel innovation. By integrating and implementing the knowledge from external andinternal, SMEs can intentionally enable to map the phases of business modelinnovation, reach the helpful resources, proactively recognize the challenges andfinally achieve a competitive business model.Research limitations/implications - The confirmatory bias might miss out on thephenomenon occurring and the findings are still generally for direct application to aspecific situation. More focused case studies will be suggested in the future to furtherinvestigate the reality differing from individuals, strategies, sectors and nat ions. Inaddition, longitudinal studies with less time restriction will be feasible to understandhow knowledge and business model interact with each other. Originality/value - This study pioneers a measurement of success in business modelinnovation and a justification of overall influence of knowledge on business modelinnovation. By further implementing, some of the results testify the originality'svalidity in SMEs, others present exceptional findings beyond the previous theories.

Government informatics : toward the successful implementation of ICT projects in Kenya

Gichoya, David M. January 2007 (has links)
As nations embrace e-government, the economic justification of ICT projects is not the problem, at least for now. The problem now is the failure of these projects that may then lead to wastage of resources. Current literature shows that goverrunents in developing countries face more challenges than developed countries when implementing ICT projects. Though literature on e-government has been increasing over the years, there is little literature on its implementation in developing countries. This thesis reviews the variables affecting the implementation of e-administration in African countries with specific reference to Kenya. The thesis starts by reviewing the variables for ICT implementation with reference to previous related research by individualso r literaturef ound on the websiteso f developmenpt artners.C ases tudiesw ere carried out in nine Kenyan Governmenmt inistriest o get the raw data for this research. The data collected was analysed and compared with the knowledge gained from the literature review. There is need to achieve the best possible implementation of ICT projects in government and the tools developed in this research should assist planners and implementers in this respect. An e-administration implementation framework is developed as a tool in this research. The framework is composed of a checklist, a strategic planning model and a set of recommendations and guidelines. The recommendations and guidelines document which also includes the checklist, the strategic planning model and the e-administration framework was circulated to practitioners and professionals in Kenya and other researchers for comments on their practicality and applicability. Their resulting comments were very positive about the applicability of the framework and the recommendations and guidelines.
