Předpovědi spotřebitelského chování v eshopech / Predicting purchasing intent on ecommerce websites

Vařeka, Marek January 2020 (has links)
This thesis analyzes behavior of customers on an e-commerce website in order to predict whether the customer is willing to buy something or is just window shopping. In addition the secondary model predicts, if the customer is going to leave the e-commerce website in next few clicks. To answer this questions different frameworks are tested. The base model used is the Logit model. The base model is compared with more sophisticated methods in machine learning - with neural networks. The best results were yielded by Recurrent neural network - the Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM). The results of the analysis confirm importance of the click stream data and calculated features that track user behavior on the e-commerce website, type of the page (product, category, information), product variance and category variance. The thesis emphasizes practical implications of this models. Two possible practical implementations are presented. The models are tested in novel ways to see how would they perform if implemented on the real e-commerce website.

Entrepreneurship Intentions Amongst South African TVET Students: An Application of the Theory of Planned Behaviour

Sundelson, Jamie 16 March 2022 (has links)
The primary aim of the investigation was to explore the entrepreneurship intent (EI) of South African TVET students by applying the Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB). Additional factors (demographics, community valuation, prior exposure to entrepreneurship and COVID-19 perceptions) were included as control variables within the model to assess the utility of the TPB. Student participants (N = 128) completed an online survey administered through two institutions in the Western Cape and made available by a Facebook link. The application of the TPB model scales was strongly supported by the results of the exploratory factor analyses (EFA) conducted as well as reliability analyses. Regression analyses indicated that the Theory of Planned Behaviour explained approximately 80% of the variance in entrepreneurial intention (p < .001). However, only attitudes were a significant determinant of entrepreneurial intention, whereas subjective norms and perceived behavioural control were not significant determinants of EI. Moreover, the control variables (demographic factors, community valuation, prior exposure to entrepreneurship) did not explain significant variance in EI, with the exception of COVID-19 perception, which was a significant determinant (β = .259, t = 3.159, p < .05). Hayes (2018) PROCESS macro was thereby used to investigate the moderation effect of COVID-19 perceptions, which were found to significantly moderate the relationship between perceived behavioural control and entrepreneurial intention. The contributions of the investigation are discussed and recommendations for future research are presented.

The authors discovered that CSR activities of companies within the fashion industry and the increased visibility of firms´ response to misbehavior do not show a positive effect on the perception of the consumer. Furthermore, the consumers' purchase intention is neither positively influenced by firms´ CSR practices nor is the pricing of a fashion garment demonstrating a favorable impact.

Gibson, Kristopher January 2021 (has links)
The essay critically examines Stanley Fish’s reader-response reading of Paradise Lost.In particular Fish’s main thesis that John Milton’s sole purpose in Paradise Lost is toeducate the reader on their position as fallen. The essay then examines two key claimsthat Fish employs to arrive at his conclusion, namely: (1) Fish’s notion of intendedreadership and authorial intent for Paradise Lost; and (2) Fish’s claims of readerresponse to Paradise Lost in two selected contexts (i) the reader response to Satan in thebeginning of Paradise Lost (ii) the reader response to an aspect of narration in ParadiseLost i.e. the poem’s epic voice. Based on the analysis of these two key claims the essayfinds Fish’s thesis unsubstantiated and in need of further argument.

Firbas Contreras, Camila Fernanda 07 July 2020 (has links)
In the present investigation, a study is carried out on the in-store factors in relation to the purchase intention in makeup stores in retails, since there are no studies carried out in Peru that understand this topic despite the fact that the sector is in continuous growth in the market and where 50% of cosmetic purchases are made in department stores. To determine the degree of relations between in-store factors and purchase intention, the methodology used was a multiple linear regression study with a mixed approach. For the development of the study, a qualitative investigation was carried out, with two mini groups and interviews with the primary public and three in-depth interviews with experts on the subject. In addition, a conclusive quantitative investigation was carried out through 230 surveys. From this, with the information obtained and processed, it was possible to obtain relevant data about the behavior of the target audience and to draw conclusions about the relationship of the variables and the purchase intention. Finally, it was possible to verify that the factors with the highest relation to the purchase intention for the target audience according to the studied model are the store setting, pricing and promotion. And in the case of the least relevant factors, the attendance of sales personnel and the attractiveness of the store remained. Therefore, it is recommended to put greater efforts on the variables that are most valued by the primary target audience. / Tesis

Mayaute Gutty, Luis Lorenzo 06 July 2020 (has links)
The following research work aims to carry out an in-depth analysis of the product ecolabelling strategy for clothing. This is relevant since it is a growing trend at a global level, in addition, this is a strategy that brands have been applying in Europe due to the level of importance that consumers give to this badge. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate and understand what level of importance this strategy has for Lima consumers and to know if the brands are applying it correctly. The study to be carried out will be of a regressive nature, since it will seek to relate the application of the ecolabelling strategy in clothing, with the intention of buying from the Lima consumer. The research methodology das a mixed approach, since tools such as interviews and survey were used. The selected population was made up of people from Metropolitan Lima who buy organic clothing. The results show that the product ecolabelling strategy has a zero level of importance for the target audience, ruling out any type of implication with the purchase intention. As a general conclusion, the variable attributes CSR and price play an important role in the customer´s intention to buy organic garments from Lima. / Tesis
