Anglų kalbos komunikacinės kompetencijos ugdymas plėtojant paauglių tarpusavio santykius / The development of communicative competence on improvement adolescent's interaction in English language lessons

Abromavičienė, Albina 27 August 2009 (has links)
Vaiko teisė į visapusišką asmenybės ugdymą, užtikrinant geros kokybės švietimą, skatina pedagogus racionaliai priimti švietimo erdvėje vykstančius pokyčius, analizuoti edukacinį procesą ir jo dalyvius, atlikti tyrimus ir ieškoti tinkamiausių metodų ir būdų šiai teisei įgyvendinti. Tyrimo objektu pasirinkta aštuntos klasės mokinių anglų kalbos komunikacinės kompetencijos ir tarpusavio santykių sąveika. Ši problema sprendžiama gilinantis į komunikacinės kompetencijos ugdymo galimybes plėtojant paauglių tarpusavio santykius. Išsiaiškinta, kad interaktyvių mokymo(si) metodų galimybių išnaudojimas gali pagerinti aštuntokų tarpusavio santykius ir komunikavimo anglų kalba įgūdžius. Tačiau, anglų kalbos mokytojų asmeninės savybės turi reikšmingą poveikį tik anglų kalbos komunikacinės kompetencijos ugdymui. / Child's right to the full personal development, ensuring good quality education, encourages teachers to adopt the rational space of the developments in education, to analyze the educational process and its participants to perform research and find the best methods and ways to implement this right. The interaction between the eighth grade students' relationship and their English language communication competence are selected as the object of study. This problem has been solved going deeper to the communication competence education opportunities while developing the relationships between adolescents. There was found out that the potential of interactive training methods can improve the relations between students and their English language communication skills. However, English language teachers' personal characteristics have a significant impact only on English language communicative competence education.

Technological Acceptance of an Avatar Based Interview Training Application : The development and technological acceptance study of the AvBIT application.

Dalli, Kevin Charles January 2021 (has links)
This thesis expands on previous research and designs of avatar-based child interview training software. The goal of the thesis was to identify requirements, identify technologies and evaluate the likelihood of acceptance of a distribution ready software that would enhance role-play training exercises commonly used for child interview training. After identifying the requirements needed to create this type of application the needed technologies for solving those requirements were identified and one prototype and two production ready applications were developed. The production ready versions were distributed in an official capacity through AvBIT Labs Ab. Each version was evaluated using the technological acceptance model (TAM) in order to determine likelihood of acceptance in relevant industries. The TAM survey, USE survey and correspondence with experts were used to evaluate missing requirements and the likelihood of software acceptance. The research conducted in this thesis directly contributed to the founding of AvBIT Labs AB and the distribution of the AvBIT application to both governmental and non-governmental organizations, seeking to enhance their child interview training, throughout Europe.

Autonomous agent-based simulation of an AEGIS Cruiser combat information center performing battle air-defense commander operations

Calfee, Sharif H. 03 1900 (has links)
The AEGIS Cruiser Air-Defense Simulation is a program that models the operations of a Combat Information Center (CIC) team performing the ADC duties in a battle group using Multi-Agent System (MAS) technology implemented in the Java programming language. Set in the Arabian Gulf region, the simulation is a top-view, dynamic, graphics-driven software implementation that provides a picture of the CIC team grappling with a challenging, complex problem. Conceived primarily as a system to assist ships, waterfront training teams, and battle group staffs in ADC training and doctrine formulation, the simulation was designed to gain insight and understanding into the numerous factors (skills, experience, fatigue, aircraft numbers, weather, etc.) that influence the performance of the overall CIC team and watchstanders. The program explores the team's performance under abnormal or high intensity/stress situations by simulating their mental processes, decision-making aspects, communications patterns, and cognitive attributes. Everything in the scenario is logged, which allows for the reconstruction of interesting events (i.e. watchstander mistakes, chain-of-error analysis) for use in post-scenario training as well as the creation of new, more focused themes for actual CIC team scenarios. The simulation also tracks various watchstander and CIC team performance metrics for review by the user. / Lieutenant, United States Navy
