The main aim of the thesis is loading of 3D models in different file formats and its displaying, creating of slices from 3D models and vice versa making 3D models from slices, quantify inaccuracy of anti-aliasing and other formatting and investigate similarity of original and edited models. Everything in Java programming language and its extensions for 3D object tasks. Thesis builds on earlier project „3D shape from MRI“.

Bankfiliale in der Virtuellen Realität - Eine Technologiestudie

Bensing, Sandra, Fischer, Torsten, Hansen, Torben, Kutzschbauch, Sandra, Loos, Peter, Scheer, Christian 17 July 2002 (has links) (PDF)

3d Animation For Hand Preshaping

Guler, Mehmet Soner 01 March 2006 (has links) (PDF)
The human hand is an essential part of human body, capable of making complex and expressive motions. Its complicated structure makes it a formidable challenge for animators to animate hand motions. Most computer graphics research on hand motion has focused on preshaping, preshaping and gestures with application to areas of human computer interaction and sign language. There are also a number of educational applications such as typing, playing of musical instruments etc. From a computer graphics standpoint, these applications are difficult in animation of hand. This thesis aims to animate 3D hand preshaping activity for a chosen virtual 3D object in real-time. Researches on human hand kinematics, structure and geometric stability analysis on preshaping are the main motivation for the algorithms developed in this thesis for animating 3D preshaping. The algorithm that we developed is made of two main parts. The first part is related with the precision type preshaping requiring the finger-tips positioning for a given object such as the cube, cylinder or sphere. First part is completed by procedural approach which is based on kinematics to generate the motion of the hand for the given virtual object at the determined finger-tip positions. Second part related with the wrap type preshaping aims to have maximum interaction between hand and object. For this purpose, we have developed the collision detection algorithm to find intersection surfaces between hand and object. Even though developed algorithm based on the kinematics was used for the precision type preshaping application, it can also be used for many other applications requiring hand animation given the positions of finger tips.

Interaktivní Java applet pro 3D vizualizaci optického disku oka / Interactive Java applet used for 3D optic nerve head visualization

Šikl, Jaroslav January 2010 (has links)
The aim of this thesis was to design and implement the interactive Java applet used for topography 3D optic nerve head visualization. Primary purpose of the 3D vizualization is ophthalmology, especially for diagnosis of glaucoma. More over should serve as a training material, which enables to study the transformation of 2D figures to 3D model and to test the effects of adjustments and regulations to imaging of the model in 3D space. Two program versions were designed in this work using the development system NetBeans version 5.5. Their final realization is implemented as .html application working in web browser window. First version of the designed applet is simple intuitive application with several default settings, so that the figure is opened automatically to 3D model. Subsequently, the applet enables to set the size of the image, 3D depth of the image, smoothing of the surface and selection of monochrome or coloured image. The second version is the extension of the first version of the designed applet, and provides the possibility to display x, y, z axis, depiction of the 3D model surface by dots, curves or grid, and illumination of the surface. Software was tested on available topographic data acquired by HRT equipment and in different web browsers. Technical documentation and user’s manual are also involved in this thesis.

Ao final, tem-se um sistema que permite o total controle ao usuário, desde a criação e edição de modelos virtuais até as visualizações apresentadas pelo sistema de multiprojeção / Forms of information representation are important for knowledge acquisition. The use of technologies can make this acquisition efficient. In this context, this dissertation presents a multiprojection low-cost framework based on graphics clusters, which is used in the virtual model visualization in order to assist the teaching of dental structures. However, the virtual models alone do not fully represent the information required by a teaching tool. These require the integration of concepts relevant to domain, using semantic descriptions in conjunction with virtual models. In order to define an ontology to support the description, the used concepts are presented as attributes in the ontology created. With the same purpose of descriptions, multimedia content is also added to the virtual models. At the end, we have a system that allows the user full control, from creation and editing of virtual models to the views presented by the system multi-projection

3D model z MRI / 3D shape from MRI

Menclík, Tomáš January 2012 (has links)
The main aim of the thesis is the reconstruction of three-dimensional surface from a~set of two-dimensional images. For the implementation of this application the programming language Java and its extension, that allows work with three-dimensional models, were chosen. First, viewing of three-dimensional models of two different file formats was necessary to allow. To create the three-dimensional models, the Marching Cubes algorithm was used. This algorithm is decribed theoretically in the text, description of the implementation and correction of deficiencies follows. Finally, the implementation of the inversion procedure of reconstruction of the three-dimensional surface, which is the extraction of two-dimensional images from the three-dimensional model, is described.
