Kočí, Zdeněk January 2012 (has links)
This thesis on „Form and methods in construction“ is focused on satisfaction and motivation of employees from UNISTAV a.s. company. In theoretical part I focus on the most important and generally accepted theory of motivation. I also mention forms of motivation and also methods which can be used by managers in construction to challenge and stimulate their employees to perform better and to identify goals of individuals with goals of company. In the last part I introduce relevant information about studied company. As an example for empirical part of work, based on working hypothesis I created two questionnaires. On for ordinary customer and second one for managers. I also studied opinions on company communications and corporate culture in general. One of the main benefits of this thesis is, that it clearly defines weak and strong spots relative to the chosen topic. It also compares views of employees and their managers. From these findings I constructed series of solutions and recommendations. For convenience I show my findings in form of simple graphs.

”Det är hela tiden en balansgång . . .” : En kvalitativ studie om organisationers strategiska arbete gällande kvarvarande medarbetares engagemang vid neddragningsprocesser / A qualitative study of organizations’ strategic work regarding remaining employees’ commitment in downsizing processes

Gezelius, Amanda, Svens Engström, Emilia January 2022 (has links)
The previous research into the relationship between a downsizing process and the resulting employee commitment is quite comprehensive. It describes the downsizing process as a strategic plan, necessary to avoid deteriorating economic performance in organizations. The design and implementation of downsizing processes, through communication, teamwork and involvement, has also been shown to influence remaining employees’ commitment. During the Covid-19-pandemic organizations, especially in the hospitality industry, have been forced to carry out extensive changes to working practice including resulting in downsizing. However, the effects of pandemic downsizing are relatively unexplored. Especially lacking is a focus on the remaining employees' experience of the effects of downsizing and their subsequent commitment, arising from management’s choice and modification of strategies. This study aims to gain a deeper understanding of organizations’ strategic work to maintain the commitment of remaining employees during downsizing processes as a result of a pandemic. It is based on a qualitative method using semi-structured interviews, from a total of eight respondents, representing both management and employee levels. The study examines a specific event in an organization in the hospitality industry with focus on the shipping industry and is designed as a case study. The collected empirical data has been compiled and analyzed using a themed analysis. The results from this study show that the pandemic's impact on the organization's working practices has had both positive and negative effects on employee commitment. Communication is an important pillar that should permeate the organization's work at all levels to contribute to involvement and understanding. The study also highlights a number of interesting and significant considerations for future studies regarding downsizing and employee commitment. The pandemic has also resulted in a societal change that has meant that management's strategies and remaining employees’ commitment have been affected differently when compared with other downsizing processes. This in turn has led to new ways of working that can influence future events.

Käck, Therese, Svensson Atay, Suzanna January 2024 (has links)

Ruiz Chacon, Alexandra Sofia January 2024 (has links)
The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between digital competence and job performance among teachers at the Technological Institutes of Higher Education under study in the year 2023, using the theoretical model by Tourón et al. (2018) for the teacher's digital competence variable and, for the job performance variable, Koopmans et al. (2013) with adaptation to the Peruvian context conducted by Geraldo (2022). A sample of 114 teachers from three IESTPs located in the departments of Lambayeque and Arequipa was used. The results showed a positive relationship between teacher's digital competence and job performance, demonstrating that the use and knowledge of technology in the educational context contribute to the development of job performance. It was found necessary to improve teachers' confidence in their knowledge and use of technology since the majority are at a medium level overall, which is sufficient for conducting their class sessions. However, not knowing enough about it can lead to excessive caution, resulting in hesitation and the rejection of valuable online resources. As for their high level of job performance, it enables them to stay focused on their institution's mission and provide high-quality education to their students.

Huaman Bances, Steffany Maholy January 2024 (has links)
The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between job stress and job performance of sales advisors of the traditional King Kong product. A quantitative, basic correlational, cross-sectional design approach was used. The population consisted of 250 advisors to whom a non-probabilistic convenience sample was applied. The survey technique was used for data collection, using the JCQ karasek questionnaire for job stress and the Puma 2017 questionnaire for job performance. The results found a significant and moderate correlation with a Spearman's Rho of 0.417. Finally, in the different shops dedicated to the manufacture and sale of traditional sweets, it was concluded that as job stress increases, the level of job performance will also increase, as the advisors manage to have a balance between both variables.

The relationship between learning potential and job performance

Gilmore, Nelise 31 March 2008 (has links)
In South Africa, legislation dictates that employees must be developed resulting in the need to identify candidate's development capability. As such, it is essential to be able to measure the learning potential of candidates. In practice, cognitive ability has been linked to the complex process of job performance. This study aimed to determine whether learning potential can be used as a predictor of job performance. The Learning Potential Computerised Adaptive Test (LPCAT) was utilised to measure learning potential and job performance was measured through a promotion ratio (taking job knowledge and tenure into account). The moderator variables were investigated. A sample of 135 technical employees was drawn. The data was statistical manipulated reporting various significant relationships confirming the internal reliability of the LPCAT and indicating a strong significant relationship between learning potential and job performance. Variables such as learning potential, job grade and tenure are significant when predicting job performance. / Industrial and Organisational Psychology / MA (Industrial and Organisational Psychology)

Effect of role-play as a formative assessment technique on job performance

Munyai, Ndanduleni Norah 06 1900 (has links)
The objective of the research was to investigate an improvement in job performance when role-play is used as a training and assessment tool in a sales call centre environment. The research was conducted by means of a competence assessment used at different stages (Quality Assurance Performance Management Questionnaire). The final stage was two weeks after the learners who had qualified to be sales agents had entered a real working environment. At this final stage, calls were retrieved and rated against the Quality Assurance Performance Management Questionnaire (QAPMQ). A sample of 40 novice sales agents (learners) were selected and randomly divided into the control and experimental groups. The research findings indicated that if planned well, role-play can be an effective training and assessment tool. / Industrial & Organisational Psychology / M.Comm.
