C*-algèbres associées à certains systèmes dynamiques et leurs états KMS / C*-algebras associated with certain dynamical systems and their KMS states / C*-álgebras associadas a certas dinâmicas e seus estados KMSDe Castro, Gilles 18 December 2009 (has links)
First, we study three ways of associating a C*-algebra to a continuous map. Then, we give a new definitionof entropy. We relate the KMS states of the previously defined algebras with the equilibrium states, givenby a variational principle. In the second part, we study the Kajiwara-Watatani algebras associated toiterated function system. We compare these algebras with the Cuntz algebra and the crossed product. Finally, we study the KMS states of the Kajiwara-Watatani algebras for actions coming from a potentialand we relate such states with measures found in a version of the Ruelle-Perron-Frobenius theorem foriterated function systems.

Noncommutative Lp-Spaces and Perturbations of KMS States / Espaços Lp Não-Comutativos e Perturbações de Estados KMSRicardo Correa da Silva 12 July 2018 (has links)
We extend the theory of perturbations of KMS states to some class of unbounded perturbations using noncommutative Lp-spaces. We also prove certain stability of the domain of the Modular Operator associated to a ||.||p-continuous state. This allows us to define an analytic multiple-time KMS condition and to obtain its analyticity together with some bounds to its norm. The main results are Theorem 5.1.15, Theorem 5.1.16 and Corollary 5.1.18. Apart from that, this work contains a detailed review, with minor contributions due to the author, starting with the description of C*-algebras and von Neumann algebras followed by weights and representations, a whole chapter is devoted to the study of KMS states and its physical interpretation as the states of thermal equilibrium, then the Tomita-Takesaki Modular Theory is presented, furthermore, we study analytical properties of the modular operator automorphism group, positive cones and bounded perturbations of states, and finally we start presenting multiple versions of noncommutative Lp-spaces.

Knowledge Management and Clinical Framework for Cross Country Healthcare Organizations.Saeed., Rizwan January 2009 (has links)
Healthcare organizations are big source of knowledge creation. Acquiring knowledge, storing and transferring it to others in affective way has its own importance for healthcare organizations. In such organizations, clinical staff is one of the key sources of knowledge creation. This knowledge is important for healthcare organizations to diagnose the diseases and their changing conditions in better way. An intelligent knowledge management system with large amount of such information can fulfill the updated knowledge requirement for healthcare organizations. Our thesis is also consists of such techniques of gathering clinical knowledge. We have proposed a clinical knowledge management system for cross country healthcare organizations. In this study we have discussed about some current issues in clinical knowledge management and proposed our idea as a solution of clinical knowledge management. This study highlights the knowledge management process and their impact on clinical knowledge acquisition.

Identification of the factors affecting KMS adoption and utilization for the technical training process : A single-case study within heavy industryBrandin, Jacob, Lundgren, Julia January 2020 (has links)
The intensifying value of learning, competence, and knowledge motivates decisions toward implementing knowledge management systems (KMS) to capitalize on the potential benefits of facilitating knowledge sharing, collecting, storing, and dissemination on a global scale. However, these systems frequently remain underutilized, and organizations encounter obstacles to achieve their proposed outcome. The case company experienced practical problems regarding a newly implemented KMS. The system was largely unused for a specific process. Therefore, this case study investigates the factors affecting KMS adoption and utilization for the technical training process by capturing the perspectives of the intended system users and management. A combination of KMS success factors and The Theory of Affordances were applied to generate knowledge regarding how factors affected the usage of the KMS. It was found that Management Involvement, Organizational Culture and Structure, Employee Commitment, Perceived Benefits, System Complexity, and Compatibility and Conformity influenced the users' KMS utilization outcomes. A conceptual framework was developed to show how these factors affected individuals' affordances process.

Digitaliserad nyckelhantering inom järnvägen : Krypteringsnyckelhantering inom digitaliserad järnväg med ett järnvägsoperatörsperspektivFleron, Fredrik January 2024 (has links)
The key management system for ERTMS is for now governed by an archaic offline solution, where people transport these keys between the entities and the key management center usingdevices such as CD- or USB-drives. The proposed online solution can instead also providetransport of keys using industrial standard Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol. This thesisaims to provide insight for the Swedish railway operators in the components that govern animplementation of such a cryptographic key management system, in terms of the mandatorytechnological parts and organizational roles in this socio-technical system. Since the railwaycompanies can be seen as the users of this system, the thesis highlights the complexity regardingfulfilling these security requirements from a user perspective. The results show a conflict ofsecurity and efficiency of the offline system, where the security requirements do not reflect theneeds of the users and as such lower the efficiency due to lowered usability. The results highlightthat a successful implementation of an online system is desired from a usability standpoint of theuser. Furthermore, a complete online key management system cannot be established yet until thecentralized European public key infrastructure has been developed. Ambiguity in an onlinesolution still exists, but is in continuous development and with higher security requirements tocome deriving from IEC 62443. For well-functioning ERTMS on a European level, this thesisshows that a minimum security requirement for a cryptographic key management system shouldbe established to avoid ambiguity and autonomy in the security requirements of differentEuropean countries. In conclusion, in the near future smaller operators are recommended toaquire an online system as a service, from for example its current supplier, and for biggeroperators to evaluate whether to do the same or develop its own key management system andprovide it as service for other railway operators. This key management system should includeparts such as a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), a Key Management Center (KMC), TLS, backup of the system, a logging system, utilize hardware security modules (HSM) to handlecryptographic material and have staff covering the organizational requirements.
