La place du corps dans l'éducation libertaire (1880-1914) / The body in the libertartian education (1880-1914)

Valiere, Eric 29 November 2016 (has links)
We’ll study how the body can be promoted in the libertarian education both as an object and also as a means at the turn of the 19Th and 20Th centuries. After focusing on educational projects at the time of the International Workingmen's Association (IWA), we realized that it might be necessary to go back to the early 19th century to understand how and when this renewed interest for body education emerged again, mostly in France. In this regard, from our perspective, both Charles Fourier’s theory and positivism appear to be determining in the anarchist approach. Consequently, we’ll then present a number of relevant schools such as the Prevost Orphanage in Cempuis headed by Paul Robin between 1880 and 1894. We’ll then show the utmost importance of this educational institution, which inspired numbers of schools including The “École libertaire” project, the Dugardin Orphanage in Brussels, The Escuela Moderna in Barcelona, the Ferrer Colony of Stelton, the Ferrer School in Lausanne, “La Ruche” and the “Avenir social” in France. At last, we’ll examine the link between body and politics in pedagogy and the fact that this interest in the body shows that a politicized body is at stake. We then present anarchist propaganda’s media such as naturism, renewal of Malthusianism and freedom of movement in school. Finally it appears quite necessary to relocate these somewhat forgotten theoretical quarrels through Foucault’s theory of biopolitics, a most appropriate and ultimate tool to better understand these still contemporary issues.

Jaime Cubero: uma trajetória de práticas libertárias para a educação e para a vida / Jaime Cubero: a trajectory of libertarian practices for education and life

Santos, Maira Moraes dos 05 October 2015 (has links)
This presentation has as subject matter Jaime Cuberos (brazilian anarchist militant Who lived from 1926 to 1988) path, whose existance has constituted a paradigm of libertarian practices to education and life. Such trajectory is enlightening of the own brazilian anarchist conceptions and how they are inseparable from international anarchist fights. The methodological basis is originated from Hibrid Oral History techniques and from Social Sciences researchs since 1950, with recorded data. To be made, speeches from militants and Cuberos relatives were collected, early public speeches about Jaime Cubero, where his dimension as a master is revealed, in other words, the one who form individuals from his own triple condition: educator-narrator; educator-artisan; and choice educator. The outcomes of those practices are observed in the life and thoughts of those who have chosen the libertarian principles in their workplace and daily life. Cuberos lessons are also very important as a critic to current education and teaching.

Silva, Rodrigo Rosa da 29 October 2013 (has links)
The thesis aims to investigate the anarchist\'s conceptions of science and their role in the construction of an educative methodology and practice. A trajetória anarquista do educador João Penteado: leituras sobre educação, cultura e sociedade / The anarchist trajectory of the educator João Penteado: readings on education, culture and society

Santos, Luciana Eliza dos 28 April 2009 (has links)
With the accomplishment of the libertarians schools in Sao Paulo, in the first decade of the twentieth century, this study insert the trajectory of anarchist educator João Penteado in the in the history of Brazilian education.. This educator was the responsible of the operation of Modern School No 1, created in 1912, as a model school, by a group of free thinkers, anarchists and anticlericais interested in the establishing a school separate from those prevailing at that time as the state and religious, with the target privileged means popular. This school, like many others libertarians schools, was inspired by the experience of the Catalan educator Francisco Ferrer y Guardia, who created and founded a Modern School in Barcelona, in 1901. The social trajectory of Penteado, seized in the search historiographic documentary primary sources, is marked by cultural and educational practices deeply rooted in libertarian ideals, becoming visible in his thought the consistency of design of the world over the years. To highlight some of the reasons of this educational perspective with bases on historical antecedents of the brazilian educational field adds new elements in the discussion on shape school. Thus, the meaning and social function of contemporary school may be asked - and reflected by a revolutionary vision of human relations.

To do so, it builds initially a conceptual definition of Anarchism, as an ideology, and relates the anarchist movement with Education, announcing its theoreticians still in the nineteenth century, and showing the relation between those with concepts later on used by pedagogues and practitioners of the libertarian ideas in education. In the first part of the paper, we do a historiographicaldiscussion of the studies about anarchism in Brazil and about the lack of libertarian pedagogy in the History of Education “manuals”, problematizing also the question of “pedagogical tendencies”. In the second part, some dear principles to the libertarian tradition in education are defined, as: the integral instruction, the antiauthoritarian teaching and the education-revolution binomial. We present the educational ideas of classical authors of anarchism, like Bakunin, Kropotkin and Reclus, but also of the pedagogues Paul Robin and Francisco Ferrer y Guardia, both responsible for the expansion of the rationalist and libertarian teaching through all the workers movement in several countries. In its third chapter, we investigate the circulation of the libertarian thought in Brazil, showing the anarchists initiatives in educational projects and relating them with international projects. We discuss the importance of the worker press to the expansion of the libertarian education, and put the role of the educational experiences of anarchists in Brazil, like: The creation of libertarian schools, culture centers, the opening of libraries, edition of books and the opening of dozens of magazines, including newspapers dedicated especially to education, like the newspaper O Início, created by students of the Modern School of São Paulo (Escola Moderna de São Paulo).
