Silva, Marianna Lima de. January 2019 (has links)
Abstract: Enem is a Brazilian national assessment of great relevance, since it is, nowadays, the largest college entrance exam in Brazil. Its Writing Test has been drawing attention from the school community and society in general, due to the very low index of texts evaluated with a maximum score. Although evaluation commission has made its criteria more demanding, Inep publishes, shortly before the exam, an official guidance material, Cartilha do Participante, which aims to contribute to improve the applicant's studies and to make the writing evaluation methodology even more transparent and make what is expected from the applicant in each of the evaluated competencies more evident (Inep, 2017), presenting Matriz de Referências para a Redação no Enem - the assessment instrument that gather these competencies - the Writing Test of the previous edition and a sample of texts evaluated with maximum score. Based on French branch of Discourse Analysis theoretical-methodological perspective, settled by M. Pêcheux, we aim to discuss, in this work, in which way Cartilha do Participante instructs/guides the Enem applicant-student to achieve an essay model. We intend to (i) infer the images constructed by Inep, in the book, about itself, its interlocutor - the applicant-student of Enem - and its referent - the essay in Enem; (ii) punctuate the reading/reader and writing/writer concepts that permeate this document. Our analysis to this material considers the discursive process as an effect of ... / Mestre

Santos, Aline Suelen January 2019 (has links)
Abstract: Assuming that the constitution of oneself as a subject depends on one's relations with the other, the language, in this transit, reveals itself as a space of "new" discoveries, inquisitiveness and curiosities. Thus, interested in the inclusion of the other in the discursive thread (AUTHIER-REVUZ, 2004, p. 62) and also in the imagination of representations about the writing process (CORRÊA, 2004), that is, interested in the discussions on the enunciative complexity implicit in the written enunciations, I decided to reflect, in this dissertation, on a language fact very characteristic to the circulation of written texts: how the relation I/Other is represented due to the displacement of the scribe, in a very single text, by oral/spoken practices and by lettered/written practices. Understanding the complexity of this constitution, I assumed the hypothesis that the scribe's transit would be revealed by the intertwinements of the roles as a speaker, a listener, a writer and a reader, all detected in the construction of the relation I/Other in the chosen written material: the novel Memórias da Emília (Memories of Emilia) (1969[1936]). To do so, this proposal is based, specifically, upon a discursive approach to the literacy phenomenon. In a general way, this approach is based, mostly, on the studies of the Dialogic Discursive Analysis (Bakhtin and the Circle) and the perspective known as Enunciative Heterogeneities (AUTHIER-REVUZ, 1998, 2004). The results show some enunciative ... / Doutor

Comparative study of English and Spanish determiners

Paredes-Merchan, Oliva Amada, January 1971 (has links)
This thesis has presented a comparative study of English and Spanish determiners. The comparison has been made at a surface level of the determiner systems of the two languages and also at a deep structure level. The reason of this comparison has been to find out how the two languages differ or have points of similarities. The points of difference have been taken into consideration to see how these differences between the two languages affect errors in writing compositions by Spanish-speaking students learning English. Some ideas have been drawn up of how constrastive analysis could help in teaching or learning a language.
