El rol que jugó el latín como lengua de cultura y prestigio en las colonias españolas en América no ha sido estudiado a fondo. Especialmente en el caso del virreinato del Perú, la escasez de documentos ha impedido realizar investigaciones detalladas en este campo. En este trabajo analizo la importancia del latín en las zonas urbanas de la sociedad colonial peruana sobre la base de documentos escritos por autores peruanos y publicados en el virreinato del Perú hasta principios del siglo XIX. Entre estos, y por sucarácter único, destaca Asclepiadaeum, un poema en honor del virrey De la Pezuela, quien arribó a Lima en 1816. / The role that Latin played as the language of culture and prestige in the Spanish colonies of America has not been studied in depth. Especially, in the case of the viceroyalty of Peru, the lack of documents has prevented detailed research in this area. In this paper I analyze the importance of Latin in urban areas of Peru´s colonial society based on documents written by Peruvian authors and published in the viceroyalty of Peru up to the beginning of the nineteenth century. Among these, and because of its unique nature, the Asclepiadaeum, a poem in honor of the Viceroy de la Pezuela, who arrived in Lima in 1816, stands out

Ello explica la ausencia, con escasas excepciones, de estudios orientados a discutir, por ejemplo, su condición de texto narrativo —y su calidad ya sea de “texto literario” o de “texto menor”—, su capacidad o incapacidad de ser leídocomo texto autónomo, su relación con la película una vez filmada, así como aproximaciones en torno a asuntos relacionados con la autoría, entre otros temas. En el presente trabajo me propongo cuestionar la definición convencional y plantear algunas aproximaciones que van más allá de loslímites que dicha concepción impone. / The conventional and most widespread definition of the screenplay is that which regards it as a “working instrument” that “guides” the making of a film due to the presentation of a set of instructions to perform it. Clearly,such a consideration, of a purely utilitarian text to serve a “greater work” in this case the film script has been limited to its pragmatic function. This explains the absence, with few exceptions, of studies to discuss, for example, its narrative status and quality—either as “literary text” or as “minortext”—its ability or inability to be read as autonomous text, its relationship to the movie once filmed and approaches around issues of authorship,among others. In this paper I intend to challenge the conventional definition and propose some approaches going beyond the limits imposed bythis concept.

El presente artículo intenta aproximarse a los rasgos constitutivos del tipo textual denominado memoria, perteneciente al área jurídico-administrativa de la época colonial. Este tipo textual se enmarca tanto en la tradición judicial castellana como en la indiana, por lo que resulta de especial interés para la historia de la lengua española, así como para los estudios de lingüística textual y de pragmática. Asimismo, la investigación pretende comprobar que en el sistema judicial peruano del siglo XVI existió un tipo de memoria particular, formado a partir de la convergencia del modo occidental de registro de datos y del uso de los quipus como medio de registro andino. / This paper addresses the constituent features of the textual type calledmemoria, in the context of the legal-administrative sphere of the ColonialEra. This textual type is embedded in both the Spanish and the native American legal tradition, so it is of particular interest for the history ofthe Spanish language, for the textual linguistics studies and for pragmaticsstudies. The research also aims to demonstrate that in the Peruvian judicial system of the 16th Century there was a particular type of memoria, modeledby the convergence of the Western way of recording data and the useof quipus as Andean recording medium.
