The main goal of this thesis is to improve logistic processes at Anheuser-Busch InBev by aplying Lean and Six Sigma methods, in paticular, by using DMAIC methodology. Thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part methods of Six Sigma and Lean are described and recent tendency to combine these methods together. Each step of DMAIC methodology was described in details in theoretical part. In the practical part there is a project which aims to of improveme international transport flows from England to Italy and from Belgium to England witth the use of DMAIC methodology.

O conceito de logística vem, ao longo do tempo, agregando novos elementos e tornando-se mais complexo. Nos anos 50 restringia-se à distribuição física. Atualmente engloba a totalidade dos fluxos de material, produtos e informação entre diferentes empresas da cadeia de suprimentos. Neste contexto, organizações dos mais variados segmentos vêm terceirizando suas operações logísticas para empresas especializadas denominadas operadores logísticos. As tecnologias de informação (TI) têm um importante papel no desenvolvimento das atividades logísticas e no desempenho dos operadores: suas aplicações permitem a otimização do sistema logístico e o gerenciamento de forma integrada de seus diversos componentes. O objetivo da pesquisa é investigar como a TI vem sendo utilizada pelos operadores nos processos logísticos e como vem contribuindo para o estabelecimento de redes de valor. A metodologia utilizada foi o estudo de casos múltiplos. Foram investigados cinco operadores logísticos com atuação no mercado brasileiro, com diferentes posicionamentos estratégicos, operando em diferentes setores e de modo a cobrir de forma integral o processo logístico. Os resultados da pesquisa indicaram a necessidade do desenvolvimento de aplicativos customizados, capazes de atender as particularidades de cada operador e de gerar vantagens competitivas, e apontaram a importância do papel da TI para o estabelecimento das redes de valor. / The logistics concept has been changing, adding new elements and becoming more complex. In the fifties it was restricted to physical distribution only. Nowadays, it embraces the total flow of materials, products and information between the different companies of a supply chain. In this new scenario, organizations in all industries have outsourced their logistics operations to specialized companies called logistics operators. Information technologies (IT) have an important role in the development of logistics activities and in the logistics operator\'s performance: IT applications allow an optimal tuning of the logistics system and an integrated management of its several components. The purpose of this research is to investigate how the logistics operators are applying IT in the logistics process and how IT is contributing to the establishment of value networks. The methodology utilized was the multiple cases study. Five logistic operators that feature different strategic positions and operate with different industries in the Brazilian market were investigated. The sample was chosen so as to provide the information needed for an analysis of all stages of the logistic process. The results of the research indicate that customized applications, suited to the particularities of each operator, play an important role in the creation of competitive advantages, and suggest the centrality of IT in the creation of value networks.

Récemment, une nouvelle ère du commerce « connecté » arrive, dans laquelle l’offre des services logistiques fluides entre les différents canaux de vente, sera primordiale pour les réseaux de distribution. Dans ce contexte d’omnicanalité, nous focalisons aux liens pouvant être établis entre le logistics model adopté et le business model. Nous formulons l’hypothèse selon laquelle le logistics model adopté peut faire évoluer le business model : P1: le business model a un impact sur le logistics model. P2: Le logistics model a un impact sur le business model. P3: Quand le business model évolue, le logistics model évolue et s’adapte. P4 : L’évolution du logistics model a un impact sur l’évolution du business model. P5 : L’innovation du logistics model peut pousser l’innovation du business model. Une recherche empirique (4 cas) est menée permettant de capter les aspects dynamiques. Des entretiens semi-directifs avec les dirigeants, les responsables logistiques ont été réalisés. Des analyses intra-cas et inter-cas ont été menées. Apports: Au plan théorique, nous définissons les composants des business model et des logistics model dans l’industrie du prêt-à-porter et montrons 4 processus logistiques liés à la proposition de valeur. Nous montrons comment les évolutions ou les innovations logistiques peuvent permettre d’acquérir des compétences et du savoir-faire distinctifs susceptibles de proposer de nouvelles propositions de valeur aux clients et d’améliorer le business model d’une enseigne. Au plan managérial, les distributeurs trouveront matière à modéliser leurs activités et à positionner les services logistiques au centre de leurs business models futurs. / Recently, a new era of “connected commerce” is emerging, where the ability of offering effective and fluid logistics services among the different channels will be a key feature of distribution networks. In the context of omnichannel, we focus on the dynamic links between logistics model adopted by a distribution company and its business model. We make the hypothesis that the adopted logistics model can lead to changes in the business model: P1: the business model impacts the logistics model. P2: the logistics model impacts the business model. P3: the evolution of the business model impacts the evolution of the logistics model. P4: the evolution of the logistics model impacts the evolution of the business model. P5: The innovation of the logistics model impacts the innovation of the business model. To answer the research questions, we conducted a dynamic empirical research (four case studies in the ready-to-wear industry). Semi-structured interview with leaders, and logistics managers were conducted, followed by an intra-case and cross-case analyzes.Implications: At the theoretical level, we define precisely the components of the business model and the logistics model and demonstrate an association between four logistics processes and the value proposition to customers. We show how evolution and innovation of logistics can provide distinctive skills and know-how that can help create new value propositions to customers and improve the company’s business model. At the managerial level, our study offers insights to retailers certain ways to model their activities and to position the logistics services at the center of their future business model.

Los procesos logísticos y su relación con las exportaciones de la SPN 0810.40.00.00 de arándanos hacia Estados Unidos desde el puerto de Salaverry entre el periodo 2015 al 2019

El objetivo del presente trabajo de investigación es determinar cómo influyen los procesos logísticos en las exportaciones de la SPN 0810.40.00.00 de arándanos hacia Estados Unidos desde el puerto de Salaverry entre el periodo 2015 al 2019. Cabe resaltar que una de las principales regiones que realizan exportaciones de arándanos es la región Norte, entre las cuales se encuentran las ciudades de Lambayeque, Ancash y Piura. Por ello, es necesario identificar los principales factores del proceso logístico en que han incurrido para poder llegar a tales cifras a lo largo del tiempo y establecer si es recomendable establecerlos como procesos estándares para cualquier empresa del rubro y se implementen para llegar a ser escalables y sostenibles en el tiempo. Por tanto, es de vital importancia identificar la relación entre las dos variables, para poder determinar si la variable proceso logístico influyen en las exportaciones. Para analizar la relación entre los procesos logísticos y las exportaciones de arándanos, se realizó una investigación cuantitativa, utilizando el cuestionario en escala de Likert y haciendo participes a 30 ejecutivos correspondientes a los rubros de comercio exterior, logística y exportaciones de las empresas exportadoras de arándanos. Además, para el análisis de resultados, se utilizó el programa SPSS, con el objetivo de corroborar las hipótesis planteadas. De esta manera, a partir de los resultados obtenidos del SPSS, se concluyó que los procesos logísticos se relacionan con las exportaciones de arándanos durante el periodo analizado, siendo las dimensiones estudiadas; almacenamiento, infraestructura, embalaje, transporte y manipulación de materiales. / The objective of this research is to determine the relationship between the logistic processes and exports of the tariff item 0810400000 blueberries to the United States from the port of Salaverry between 2015 and 2019. It is worth mentioning that one of the main regions that export blueberries is the Northern region, among which are the city of Lambayeque, Ancash and Piura. For that reason, it is necessary to identify the main factors of the logistic process in which they have incurred to be able to arrive at such numbers throughout the time and to establish if it is advisable to establish them as standard processes for any company of the heading and they are implemented to become scalable and sustainable in the time. Therefore, it is of vital importance to identify the relationship between the two variables, in order to determine whether the logistics process variable influences exports. To analyze the relationship between logistic processes and blueberry exports, a quantitative research was carried out, using the Likert scale questionnaire, and involving 30 people corresponding to the areas of foreign trade, logistics, exports, coordinators, managers, and directors of blueberry exporting companies. In addition, the SPSS program was used for the analysis of results, with the objective of corroborating the hypotheses raised. In this way, from the results obtained from SPSS, it was concluded that the logistic processes are related to the blueberries exports during the analyzed period, being the dimensions studied, Storage, Infrastructure, Packaging, Transport and Material Handling. / Tesis

El presente análisis de investigación tiene por objetivo principal explorar cómo se implementa el Dropshipping en las empresas que hacen uso de la plataforma de Ecommerce en Lima Metropolitana en el año 2020. La razón parte del interés por realizar esta indagación debido a que en la actualidad el Dropshipping es un modelo logístico innovador que genera un impacto favorable para muchas empresas que trabajan en sector del comercio exterior y que paralelamente se desempeñan en el rubro del comercio electrónico. Para el desarrollo del estudio, se tomará como base teórica las teorías de Internacionalización, la Teoría de Tecnología de la información y Comunicaciones (TIC) y la Teoría de restricciones en la cadena de suministros. La metodología de análisis de la investigación es de enfoque cualitativo, de tipo aplicada, bajo un diseño metodológico no experimental, con alcance exploratorio y de estrategia metodológica de método de estudios de casos. Para el enfoque cualitativo no cuenta con una hipótesis inicial antes de recolectar los datos, puesto que el enfoque utilizado es más inductivo analítico y se desarrollan a partir de los datos obtenidos. El presente estudio contará con la participación de profesionales que trabajan en empresas que están ligadas al comercio exterior y que hacen uso de las plataformas de Ecommerce, empleando el instrumento de entrevistas a profundidad, los cuales se analizaron en el Software Atlas Ti. Los resultados obtenidos permitirán dar respuesta a los problemas específicos planteados, encontrar hallazgos y establecer las conclusiones y recomendaciones para la presente exploración. / The main objective of this research analysis is to explore how Dropshipping is implemented in companies that make use of the Ecommerce platform in Metropolitan Lima in 2020. The reason for this research is that Dropshipping is currently an innovative logistic model that generates a favorable impact for many companies that work in the foreign trade sector and at the same time work in the field of e-commerce. For the development of the study, the theories of Internationalization, the Theory of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and the Theory of Constraints in the supply chain will be taken as a theoretical basis. The methodology of analysis of the research is of qualitative approach, applied type, under a non-experimental methodological design, with exploratory scope and methodological strategy of case study method. The qualitative approach does not have an initial hypothesis before collecting the data, since the approach used is more analytical inductive and is developed from the data obtained. The present study will count with the participation of professionals working in companies that are linked to foreign trade and that make use of Ecommerce platforms, using the instrument of in-depth interviews, which were analyzed in the Atlas Ti software. The results obtained will allow to answer the specific problems raised, to find findings and to establish conclusions and recommendations for the present exploration. / Tesis
