Process Modeling and Execution in Non-Enterprise System IntegrationFang, Miao January 2012 (has links)
Context. Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) are information systems that manage manufacturing processes in factories. The execution of MES processes requires non-enterprise integration, which integrates MES applications, services, and automation systems within the factories. Objectives. We aim at developing a modeling approach that can be used to represent and execute MES processes. Having such an approach would help MES vendors to reduce the development cost to reconfigure systems, in order to achieve better business flexibility. Methods. In order to understand the state of the art of manufacturing modeling techniques, we perform a systematic literature review (SLR) in scientific article sources, including IEEE Xplore, ACM Digital Library, Compendex, Inspec, and Springer Link. In consideration of the criteria in modeling and executing MES processes, we evaluate the selected process modeling techniques. Based on the result of evaluation, we propose a three-view-based approach to support process execution. We develop a prototype to prove that an MES process can be executed by following our approach. We also conduct semi-structured interviews in industry to validate whether our proposed approach achieves the objectives. Results. In the SLR, 24 primary studies are selected. Our analysis reveals that existing modeling techniques have limitations to enable process execution. To overcome the limitation, we propose a three-view-based approach, which has an MES process view, an abstract plant view to represent the structure of technical systems, and a mapping view to enable the communication between MES tasks and the technical systems. We develop a prototype as the implementation of our approach, which comprises: a graphical editor for the abstract plant view, a generator of message routes for the mapping view, and a typical MES process to be executed in the context of a warehouse management system. The semi-structured interviews we conducted with three industrial experts show positive feedback to use and generalize our approach in industry, in case comprehensive tools can be established. Conclusions. Compared to the existing modeling techniques, the three-view-based approach is specifically tailored toward process execution. Based on the feedback from industry, we conclude that applying our approach provides the possibility to achieve better reconfigurability and flexibility of MES.

Gamification som möjliggörare för att motivera användare av system för tillverkningsindustrin / Gamification as an enabler to motivate users of systems for the manufacturing industryEdkvist, Robin January 2015 (has links)

Vyhodnocovaní efektivity výroby / Evaluating production efectivityCzipszer, Jiří January 2020 (has links)
The master thesis deals with the issue of evaluation of efficiency and data collection of lines in production, using the APROL program from B\&R automation. The aim of this work is to create a program completed requirement, which is going to be compared with already implemented projects of the company and will serve to create a company standard. The first part is devoted to the description of the theory of this issue and used software. The second part describes the solution of the line simulator and the whole concept of collection and evaluation.

Production of Electrical Current by Glucose-Utilizing Shewanella chilikensis JC5 and its Coexistence with Geobacter sulfurreducensAlkurdi, Marya 07 1900 (has links)
Shewanella spp. are model electroactive bacteria (EAB) and well-known for their broad metabolic capabilities and extracellular electron transfer (EET) properties, which allow them to utilize a diverse range of carbon substrates, such as formate, lactate, pyruvate, and amino acids. However, the majority of Shewanella spp. cannot metabolize glucose, a naturally occuring carbon and energy source. Here, we examine the electrode respiring potential of Shewanella chilikensis JC5T- and its coexistence with acetoclastic EAB, Geobacter sulfurreducens in glucose-fed microbial electrolysis cells (MECs) operated at a set anode potential condition of 0 V vs. Ag/AgCl. Chronoamperometry analysis revealed that the maximum current density was 0.04523 mA/cm2 (CE: 14.55%) in S-MEC (only S. chilikensis JC5T) and 0.299 mA/cm2 (CE: 53.85%) in CC-MEC (S. chilikensis JC5T and G. sulfurreducens) which is 6.6-folds higher in current density and 3.7-folds higher in coulombic efficiency than S-MEC. Cyclic voltammetry analysis demonstrates presence of biofilm and redox mediator for EET mechanisms. Metabolic analysis showed that S. chilikensis as a monoculture and co-culture with G. sulfurreducens can metabolize glucose and produce intermediates such as acetate, formate, and lactate. These intermediates are likely used to generate electrical current. Collectively, these results provide novel insights on electrode respiring properties of S. chilikensis and its coexistence with acetoclastic EAB, G. sulfurreducens to enhance the current density and coulombic efficiency from glucose-fed MEC.

SSAB:s nya Manufacturing Execution System (MES) : Framgångsfaktorer för utformandet av en kravspecifikation / System integration of SSAB's new Manufacturing Execution System (MES) : Success factors for the design of a requirements specificationLundberg, Robert January 2022 (has links)
