This diploma theses deals with the Most! series presented by the Czech television in 2019. The purpose of this theses was to find out how the Most! series distinguished from standard Czech series production. In the theoretical part of this theses the Most! series has been put in the Czech series context and concrete distinctions have been investigated. It has been found out, that the most important distinctions have lain in characters, creatively used filming locations and the main theme. Also it has been found out that the Most! series can be considered quality TV so it was endowed with higher quality than other Czech series. Practical part of the theses has been divided into two parts. The purpose of the first part has been to investigate the media reflection of the series using quantitative methods of research. Alongside this research another quantitative analysis of the Czech series Policie Modrava has been made to gain data to comparision. It has been found out that the Most! media reflection contained more published articles from wider media spectrum and it differed mainly in topics and journalistic genres. Kopisty: proč jsme museli odejít! / Kopisty: why we had to leave!

Pšenicová, Barbora January 2011 (has links)
Diploma thesis "Kopisty: why we had to leave!" refers to a village in Most district which has been destroyed and its people had to be evicted based on the plan of the mining industry. As the official reason for the liquidation has been mentioned the open-cast mine Ležáky. But, the thesis demonstrates, is not the only cause. The other causes of the liquidation are deep mines Jan Hus and Julius III. and expansion of sanitary zone of chemical plants. It has been proven by the investigation and it is stated in the thesis, all these factors had crucial influence on the village. The need of increased production has caused a slump of the houses and roads in Kopisty. It is surprising that, except Ležáky and chemical plants, there is no allusion to these reasons in the official plan of liquidation. The entire thesis is based on archival sources, research and oral history. The main goal is to precisely reconstruct the process of dismantling and demolition of the village. There is a documentary evidence that the phase from 1976-1981 was not the only one and that there were already demolition of buildings before. This is also confirmed by the fact that local people knew about the liquidation already in the sixties. I do not want to avoid even the up-to-date themes as are the reclamation of the city Most,...

Marking these places is also showed below the prize map which illustrates from the economic point of view the problem exists at that place and the place is not that permeable as it should be. After marking the problematic spaces and their overlook in the real world there follows a choice of one place and its particular solution. Verifying the reasons why overcoming especially this place, what are the reasons for connecting it, analysing the areas on both sides, pointing out the place of connection and the way to solve the pedestrian bridge and finding the conceptual principle which is the support for the construction principle.

The road to democracy : Understanding the democratization process in Chile and Mozambique

Rosenqvist, Alexander January 2022 (has links)
The topic of this essay is how countries can successfully democratize in different ways. The aim is to demonstrate how two vastly different countries as Chile and Mozambique were capable of democratizing through what at first glance looks like dissimilar ways, while at the same time trying the robustness of a known democratization theory. In this case study, I use a combination of qualitative, historical and process-tracing methods to get an in-depth understanding as I compare my two cases and measure them against Larry Diamond's theory. His theory is based upon internal- and external factors that play essential parts in democratization. My overall inference is that Chile meets essentially all theoretical expectations while Mozambique barely has more than half of the examined theoretical factors with at least somewhat favorable conditions. I also discovered that they share at least one important factor where they have plenty in common, democracy assistance. In addition to this, I also gained a new insight. Diamond's theory doesn't account for whether a country has a previous history of democracy. This appears to have played at least a significant part in many of his theoretical factors, and it's absolutely something that should be considered for the future. /
2022-05-25
