Rôle du contrôleur de gestion dans le pilotage de la performance globale / Role of management controller in global performance

Bane, Mouhamadou Falilou 28 November 2018 (has links)
CSR, which is an old concept, has experienced a renewal of legitimacy in recent years with the injunctions of sustainable development. CSR must reflect the dimensions of sustainable development at the corporate level. It's about organizations managing the economic, social and environmental dimensions. The management of these three dimensions must provide the company with global performance. The concept of global performance poses a managerial challenge within organizations and particularly to management control in terms of dimensions to be piloted. Piloting tools, particularly the balanced scorecards, have been put in place to provide answers, but it seems that the answers provided are insufficient. The back and forth between the field and the literature led us to position our research question on the role of the controller. This approach allowed us to draw significant proposals on the involvement of the management controller in the management of global performance at the end of our second field phase. In view of our results, the management controller facilitates the management of global performance. However, certain organizational factors must be brought together to create a strong involvement of the management controller in steering overall performance.

Evolution du rôle du contrôleur de gestion dans un contexte de contrôle de gestion / Evolution of the management controller's role in a decentralized management control context

Ennajem, Cécile 10 June 2011 (has links)
Within the framework of a decentralized management control, we study the evolution of the management controller role from three angles, the one of the use and conception of management control tools used for the activity piloting and integrating the human dimension, the one of its contribution to the implementation of a management control closer to operational staff and the one of the study of its interpersonal relations with the operational staff. Our researches began as management controller in our own service in a Research and development organization, where we have been observing and developing our own practices for nine years. These first results were completed by those of an intervention-research led in a big Belgian public organization which implanted the socioeconomic management control, then we completed our research by observing socioeconomic management control tools and their impacts on the management controller role, in five companies from different sectors and sizes.

Study on reducing the overhead of equipment management in telco cloud infrastructure / Studie om resursutnyttjande hos utrustningshantering i molninfrastruktur för telekom

Sörensen, Alexander January 2022 (has links)
This thesis has been carried out on behalf of the department of Digital Services - SDI at Ericsson. Ericsson Software Defined Infrastructure (SDI) is a telco grade hardware management solution for cloud infrastructure. In datacenter deployments, the extra management equipment needed by the solution becomes insignificant due to the amount of equipment it manages. But the closer to the cloudedge you get, the smaller in size the deployments become, thus making the management equipment an ever-increasing share of the total deployment seize leading to inefficient resource utilization, so called overhead. Especially with Distributed Radio Access Networks (RAN) many small deployments, often only consisting of a single compute-server used to process radio, will be deployed at radio sites and/or in buildings around cities to deliver cell service. In this type of usage, the overhead of equipment management builds up cumulatively due to the numerous amounts of deployments. This overhead leads to excessive maintenance, power usage, space needs for equipment, costs, and electronic waste. The goal of this thesis was to evaluate how to reduce the overhead of equipment management in a scenario involving numerous small-capacity widely-distributed sites which are common in the 5G telco cloud. The idea was to determine if the overhead could be reduced by exploiting Baseboard Management Controllers (BMC), this was tested by designing a low-footprint and lightweight proof of concept equipment management solution and implementing a prototype of it. By testing, verifying, and analyzing the proof-of-concept solution, it was concluded that by exploiting the BMC to run a custom software service that phoned home to a centralized management server it was possible to drastically reduce the overhead in such scenarios. It also became clear that BMCs could have even more usage areas and provide even greater value if support to run third partyapplications existed among them.
