Master´s thesis analyses the current state of the production scheduling in a manufacturing company in the automotive industry. It describes the setup system management of the module Advanced Production Planning by Helios Orange program, which company uses. This thesis introduces a new process of order and describes procedures for control of this module. Two essential steps of this new process were tested – creation of production orders and scheduling of production batches. In the end of the master´s thesis there are estimated financial savings after the implementation of the new process production scheduling.

Desenvolvimento de modelo de simulação para sistemas dinâmicos de produção de leite / Development of simulation model for dynamic systems of milk production

Each milk-producing undertaking consists of a complex system of production, where high degree of uncertainty in each one of its components. Climate-order components, plant, animal, social and economic concern in various interactions, configuring a dynamic network of comings and goings between the components of the system. This complexity inherent to the activity, along with profit margins of increasingly reduced, configure a scenario for managing milk production systems where decision-making has a narrow threshold between the success or failure of the activity. The computer simulation is a method employed to study the performance of a system through the formulation of a mathematical model, which should play, as thorough as possible, the behavior of the real system. Manipulating the model and analyzing the results, we can conclude how various factors affect system performance (EHRLICH, 1985). The model presented in this study was developed in microcomputer, in the form of a software in Basic language, with the use of Microsoft Visual Basic 2010. To assess the ability of the model to simulate production scenarios consistent with reality, in order to attest its sensitivity, production conditions were evaluated in hypothetical systems of milk production to pasture, with similar productive structure, in herds stabilized through the simulated data in 10 years of simulation (3,650 days). The model developed was shown to be able to reproduce the dynamics of production of a milk production system and serve as a basis for study, in short time, use combinations of various techniques and technologies in different environment conditions. / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / Cada empresa produtora de leite consiste num complexo sistema de produção, onde reside elevado grau de incertezas em cada um de seus componentes. Componentes de ordem climática, vegetal, animal, social e econômica relacionam-se em interações diversas, configurando uma rede dinâmica de entradas e saídas entre os elementos componentes do sistema. Essa complexidade inerente à atividade, juntamente com as margens de lucro cada vez mais reduzidas, configuram um cenário para o gerenciamento de sistemas de produção de leite onde a tomada de decisões possui um estreito limiar entre o sucesso ou o fracasso da atividade. A simulação computacional é um método empregado para estudar o desempenho de um sistema por meio da formulação de um modelo matemático, o qual deve reproduzir, da maneira mais fiel possível, o comportamento do sistema real. Manipulando o modelo e analisando os resultados, pode-se concluir como diversos fatores afetarão o desempenho do sistema (EHRLICH, 1985). O modelo apresentado no presente estudo foi desenvolvido em microcomputador, no formato de um software, em linguagem Basic, com a utilização do pacote Microsoft Visual Basic 2010. Para aferir a capacidade do modelo em simular cenários produtivos compatíveis com a realidade, a fim de atestar sua sensibilidade, foram avaliadas condições de produção em sistemas hipotéticos de produção de leite à pasto, com estrutura produtiva similar, em rebanhos estabilizados através dos dados simulados numa perspectiva de 10 anos de simulação (3.650 dias). O modelo desenvolvido mostrou-se capaz de reproduzir a dinâmica de produção de um sistema de produção de leite e servir como base para estudo, em curto período de tempo, de combinações de uso de diversas técnicas e tecnologias, nas mais variadas condições de ambiente.

This diploma thesis deals with the modifications of workplace design and changesof the layout of the company’s production space using lean manufacturing tools. The first part of the thesis theoretically describes the terms like production process, organization of the workplaces, lean production and some methods of lean production. The practical part of the thesis describes the choosen company, analysis of the current production process and visual aids used in the production of the company. The design part contains a proposal for a new layout of the production hall, the introduction of the principles of the 5S method in the workplace and proposal for the use of visual management tools. At the end of the work, the benefits of the proposed options for the company are evaluated.

A model for analysis and design of an integrated operations management system using systems engineering approach: A case study / En modell för analys och design av ett system för integrerad verksamhets-styrning med hjälp av systems engineering: En fallstudie

<p>Background: Generally, operation management includes a set of complicated systems interfacing each other. Most important systems which impact and impacted by the operations management system are production management system and maintenance management system. But to treat the interfacing losses has been difficult as interact and partially overlap each other. In this study, case-operational system was treated with developed model that analysis and design integrated operational system in order to make it easier and cost effective to manage.</p><p>Methods: A model was developed based on latest literature survey work using systems paradigm methodology and systems engineering approach.</p><p>Results: Among five analysis techniques, four types of interfacing losses were identified, seven requirements were extracted, nine conceptual solutions were generated, one of them was selected and based on it the integrated operational management system were designed.</p><p>Conclusions: The results suggest that the operational system in case-company shall be integrated by organization management, process management, and control management, in addition to data management.</p> / <p>Bakgrund: I allmänhet har operations verksamhet en del komplicerade system där friktion kan förekomma. De viktigaste systemen som har påverkan på operations verksamhet är produktion och underhålls system. Att behandla friktions förluster har varit svårt eftersom de både samverkar och delvis överlappar varandra. I dem här studien har olika fall av operationssystem behandlats med att först utveckla en modell, analysera och designa den integrerade operationssystemet för att få den billigaste och dem mest kostnads effektiva sätt att klara av.</p><p>Metod: En modell har utvecklats baserat på de senaste metoderna genom att använda system paradigm metoder och systemtekniska angreppssätt.</p><p>Resultat: Genom att använda fem sätt att analysera, sju bestämmelser extraherade, nio lösningar generade, valdes en av lösningarna och med lösningen som grund designades operations verksamhet.</p><p>Slutsats: Resultatet förslog att operations verksamhet skall integrera organisation, process och kontroll ledningar och inte bara data ledningen.</p>
